Seek Recovery – Lake Forest

This place was great. I was treated very well and the staff from the house manager, case workers and therapist were extremely helpful and I highly recommend it.

⭐☆☆☆☆ My experience at this program has negatively affected my recovery. Recovery should provide stability, consistency, and a safe environment, but I often felt the opposite. After another resident threatened me, I was… the one who was considered for a room move, including being placed with someone else who had previously threatened me. I struggled to understand how that supported a recovery- or trauma-informed approach. The resident who threatened me remained in the room, while I was the one expected to relocate. When I tried to explain why this didn't make sense from a recovery and safety perspective, I was told there were no other room options, that the situation had already been handled, and that staff didn't understand why we were still discussing it. From my perspective, I wasn't trying to argue—I was trying to explain how the proposed solution affected my recovery and why I believed it wasn't supportive. I also experienced what felt like inconsistent treatment. For example, when riding in the van, I was routinely told to roll my window up, while another resident was allowed to keep his window down. Experiences like these made me feel that expectations were not being applied consistently. Whether or not that was the intent, these experiences left me feeling unsupported, increased my stress, and made it harder to focus on my recovery. I hope the program reviews how conflicts are handled so future clients feel safe, supported, and treated consistently.

From day one, the techs made me feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable. What stood out most to me was the apartment staff and technicians. Their patience, encouragement, and ability to genuinely connect with people… made a massive impact on me personally. They created an environment that felt safe, supportive, and focused on helping people rebuild confidence while transitioning back into everyday life. The level of freedom, trust, and respect they gave clients really stood out to me. At no point did I feel talked down to or treated like a number. The staff treated people with patience, understanding, and professionalism, while still holding a supportive structure that encouraged real growth and reintegration back into society. You can tell they genuinely care about every individual who walks through the doors, and that level of compassion does not go unnoticed.

When life blindsided me and alcohol was my solution, this place stepped up and offered me a chance to reset my life in beautiful Southern California. I met a lot of cool people that work here, from the owners to the… techs. Amazing therapy, and great staff that supported me throughout my time at Seek.

This place was the beginning of a new life for me. I cannot speak highly enough of the therapy care I received and the education that surrounded me. My therapists are two of the greatest people I’ve ever met and they… sure do care! The information we receive during group/clinical time is invaluable and quite literally turned my life around. A few of the facilitators there are amazing - you can truly see their wish to help others! Hoping to take that somewhere and pass it on! Thanksc Seek, for being exactly what I needed, when I needed it, in the place I wanted to come 🙏

I was a client here for a long time. This is a great program! All the staff were very helpful in my recovery. Special shout out to Brooklyn she works very hard every day to make sure everyone is comfortable and… successful in their recovery.

The therapeutic care I received was second to none. This is the perfect facility to allow you to identify patterns that got you stuck and disrupt them with new strategies. If you show up and want to heal, this is a… perfect location to start living again.

I was in this program for 90 days and I highly recommend getting sober here. My therapist and caseworker were awesome. After being in this program I am confident I will stay sober going home. I loved this program and… the staff is very helpful. If you want to get sober and stay sober come to this program!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at this addiction treatment center. From the moment I made the initial phone call, I was greeted with warmth and compassion by the intake team—Blaine, Betsy, and Benny.… They made me feel safe and welcomed, which eased so many of my fears and anxieties about starting this journey. The support I received throughout my time here has been invaluable. This center isn’t just a business trying to make a profit like many other places out there. It’s a place where the staff genuinely care about you, your recovery, and your future. The programs are honest and effective, and the staff are dedicated to working them alongside you, sharing their own personal experiences and encouraging you every step of the way. The loving care I received didn’t stop once I finished my treatment. The staff followed up with me regularly, checking in to make sure I was staying on track and offering continued support. It’s clear that they truly want you to succeed and live a fulfilling life beyond addiction. If you’re looking for a place that offers not just treatment, but a genuine commitment to your recovery, this is it. They truly changed my life, and I’ll forever be grateful to them.

My time at Seek recovery was great ,the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely dedicated to helping each individual achieve their goals. I appreciated the personalized treatment plan they created for me,… tailored to my specific needs. The therapies offered were diverse, well-rounded, and designed to address not only the physical aspects of recovery but the emotional and mental health challenges as well.

I got way more out of this place than I expected. I was simply hoping for an accountable environment for me to establish good habits that I could continue after the program, but I feel like a completely different… person. I'm definitely not scared of relapsing "just because nobody is watching". There is a lot of value from getting to the finish line rather than just dipping out when I felt good to go. The team at Seek is incredibly attentive and helpful. When I or someone else was not satisfied with the content/direction of our groups, they always listened and made tangible adjustments.

I came into Seek recovery a wreck and uncertain about my direction in life or if I'd even have much of one in the future. Thanks to the clinical team here at Seek Recovery I've not only recovered what I'd lost and… salvaged what little I had left, I've acquired the tools and built the foundation to obtain the life I deserve. I'd like to thank the entire clinical team and staff at Seek Recovery and say that without these guys, I'm not sure where I'd be or if I'd even still be alive.

Seek Recovery had a great community of people and I learned helpful coping skills for my recovery. They provide great resources and the groups were educational and I enjoyed my therapy sessions. I would highly recommend… especially if you want to make a positive change in your life!

Before I came to seek recovery, I had hit rock bottom. Throughout my 4 month stay here, I developed a fellowship built on unconditional love. Sean is a great case manager, Sam makes a point to form close relationships… with clients, and Candice and Eric lead high quality groups. I am forever grateful for the help I received in improving my mental health and confidence
