I have to write a review this place is my favorite to bring consumers. Super friendly staff. Upon entering they are super friendly Met Samantha today she is a real gem!! It’s a pleasure to come here always have a good… experience.
Yea officially my last day. I kindly texted my therapist that I had a very important appointment outside of therapy business related. I was quickly gaslighted about another missed appointment and that I was in danger of… being discharged. Okay then that's not a problem go ahead and do what you need to do. It was helping me when Amanda was there. My symptoms weren't improving anyway mind you I had to travel a bit to get there as I don't live in the area. They don't specialize in trauma therapy which I need anyway. I felt uncomfortable most times there anyway it's time for me to go find a facility that meets my needs.
Terrible service, I don't recommend it.
You literally have to threaten that you’re going to commit suicide just to get them to do their job. On top of that they misinform you about how the hospital treats patients dealing with mental health. For them it’s a… $3000 bed and they discharge you the same night basically throwing you back out into the wild
If it wasn’t for me, trying to get an appointment with only Samantha I wouldn’t come back to this place. Other than that, The front desk makes it impossible to book an appointment. It’s almost as if they don’t want to… help people.
The person that answered the phone maybe the receptionist seems to be in a bad mood and speaking as though she is on edge and fedup, ridiculous she was no help
I can't say nothing negative about this place cause I was a patient for 3 years and they help me with so much housing and all I ve been in my housing 4 years now ty to brigeway help they are still in my life I have case… workers that's vists me three times a week in my house so I m doing a 100 better and I go to a different place cause I with bridge way And I m very proud of my self I m doing so much better now !!
A lil tricky to get the ball rolling, and need to have a lotta other appointments (therapist, social worker, etc.) before getting to see a psychiatrist (and no medications that require bloodwork or additional testing… without insurance, which limits your options from the "standard" treatments), but very good level of care, and a great resource if you are low-income/have no insurance. All the staff have been lovely, empathetic people. I was recommended this place after ending up in the ED and having no psychiatrist to manage my mental illnesses. I'm very grateful to the staff over here.
Absolutely horrible horrible horrible service. If there is a negative 5 star review that is what they deserve. The high school mandated treatment, they will only coordinate with the child to sign the release form (for… over 13 years of age) and they will not release test results to the parents or school until the child coordinates this. Save yourself the effort and go somewhere else.
The therapists there were great, but my review is about their nurse Joel. He was completely unprofessional, and humiliated me in front of his visiting student, who I wasn't even comfortable having in the room to begin… with. I told him the medication he prescribed was not one that I felt comfortable continuing, and he wrote me off as "refusing", when we should've just been able to discuss different options. I felt totally isolated and criticized, and my experience with him is what deterred me from returning to continue my therapy sessions. Hopefully, they'll consider hiring actual psychiatrists to prescribe medications, rather than nurses who only care to follow a "1-10" piece of paper for every check-in.
If you want help don’t waste your time comming here. I went there for help and sat there for over two hours until I decided to get up and walk out. Complete waste of time!!!
*allegedly I went to this facility for one year and was repeatedly transvestigated for being a trans man that happens to like feminine things. My therapist would allegedly end sessions where i cried about the csa i… endured with explaining to me why she doesn’t think im trans (i am and have been transitioning since i left) Extremely underqualified staff. An apn by the name of joelle pierre used abusive language with me and repeatedly made me cry. I voiced these concerns to samantha santiago and was denied change of apns until he yelled at me and prescribed me 3 months of medication. I was repeatedly deadnamed and misgendered despite me telling the staff my preferred pronouns and names. My therapist, samantha santiago was not receptive to any of my concerns and is not a leftist friendly therapist (for those of you who have political/war trauma). I allegedly endured medical neglect and malpractice. This facility can help you make a resume and get a job though. Thats really it. Orgs beware. Do not recomend this facility to bipoc/queer people especially queer youth. Everything is alleged
Pointless place to go, don’t help with anything
Great space to help Grow mentally an spritually
UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF: I called Bridgeway Hoboken location to make an appointment for my child who has problems with mental health and I talk to a person at the front desk who was EXTREMELY RUDE. I tried to explain that… my child who missed appointments wasn’t due to her it’s was because of my work schedule and she talked over me as I was explaining and after telling me in so many words she didn’t want to have nothing to do with my child because of missed appointments she was sending me somewhere else. She said I send you some referrals and would not be making me any appointments. This is a child and whatever happen wasn’t due to her it was me my child should not have to suffer for her mother mistakes. The staff at the front desk needs not only Customer Service Classes but counseling themselves. They need to be taught empathy, communication, relationship building and problem-solving because our communication could have gone in another direction. Now I know why mental illness is so bad in the black community, because we are being turned away from mental health services thanks BRIDGEWAY. I should have read the reviews before making my first appointment.
The receptionists' service is terrible and not at all confidential, the atmosphere is not at all comfortable.
BEWARE! Stephanie Simon is unprofessional, rude and breaches HIPAA privacy laws. I found her manner very cold. She would ask me a question and then cut me off when I was in the middle of answering. I did agree to a… 3-way call with Stephanie Simon, my then-therapist and myself. I was given the time. I waited and waited by the phone. No one called me. I called the offices of both Stephanie Simon and my therapist and left messages saying I was waiting by the phone for our 3-way phone appointment. Later I spoke to my therapist who told me she and Stephanie Simon had a conversation about my mental health without my being part of it. I never consented to that and would have never consented to that. I did consent to a 3-way phone conversation--ONLY. I told my therapist this was a breach of HIPAA. She apologized, but that was the end for me with both my therapist and Bridgeway. What sort of mental health clinicans breach HIPAA laws?
I went there from a referral from school Hudson county community college I went there to tell them I was depressed Suicidal thoughts, anger, Issues. The lady that prescribes the medicine when I told her I want to kill… myself she said guns are everywhere so why don’t you kill yourself? She told me to kill myself. I still can’t Get over when she said that. I went to Bridgeway to get help from my suicidal thoughts, but the lady that prescribes the medicine she told me to kill myself. The receptionist that picked up the phone was very rude and didn’t know what she was doing If my prescriber was working tomorrow, she didn’t know what time and when I asked her why they don’t call the clients. She had no response. I called them to ask the prescriber if I can get a refill for my medicine that’s running out. I’ve been trying to be in contact with them for over two weeks and nobody has called me back. I left a voicemail nothing. She gave me one medicine that was dealt for anxiety and depression but when it finished, I told her I needed a refill so I went to CVS and they told me that the insurance is not gonna give the milligram prescribed. They need to go lower or higher and I tried to call the prescriber at Bridgeway and she hasn’t respond to me at all, nobody has called me back. I have no medicine.
Stay away from this place. Their services are free for most (the only plus). one of the front desk staff members is very rude and confrontational over the phone.
Went there last Sunday before they even opened, was greeted by a young, small dark haired girl, I presented myself and explained what I was there for, depression and anxiety which had been causing me to think about… harming myself and I was looking for help, the girl was immediately dismissive and annoyed with my presence. I filled out the paperwork and when I returned to her she took it, and stayed quiet, which to me is an anxiety trigger, so I asked her what she needed and she just told me to sit down, another 15 min go by and she finally asked me about my insurance, I gave her my info AND SHE LET ME STAND THERE FOR 20 FREAKING MINUTES AND DIDNT SAY A SINGLE WORD, when I finally asked what was going on she said she couldn’t verify my insurance, which she was holding my card in front of her the whole time, she asked me to email her a copy of it and then LEFT TO GET BREAKFAST AT THE CORNER STORE, making sure I heard where she was going bc she was asking around who wanted what from the store…. I have never been so confused and misstated this way, for a place with an advertising for mental health you should do a better job with the person who is the first contact patients have. I left as soon as she walked out because I was embarrassed to sit there any longer.
Seemed that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They Canceled the day of my appointment. Have us waited for 2 weeks and canceled. Could have been used the time to look elsewhere. Irene is nice and… helpful, she called me to inform that she can't take anymore clients. Gave me some resources I can use to have my son seen and get psychiatrist and therapist to help. Receptionist doesn't seem to show care and compassion when I called back to have a schedule again for a different day. She told me she will follow up and call me but she never did. The waiting for 2 weeks and then canceled the day of appointment is terrible in times of crisis.
A great place to heal
The receptionists answer the phone rude and nasty. If it wasn’t for Kim & Irene I would’ve gave them a one star
Very professional and caring 👏 👌
This place is the worst place for people struggling with disabilities. Prescribers there won't even write you a doctor's note for any reason unless they have seen you for six months! Now I need to go back to work after… being hospitalized and they refuse to write one! Plus they expect me to travel an hour just to pick up a prescription for blood work? This place is for the birds.
The director stephanie Simon refused me services in a time of crisis because of what they did to me . She went to another program without my permission and asked them information, she told me that she canceled my… apolointmet had me very stressed, in the time of need .to make a grievance with my health insurance that he did this to me. She was forcing me to go and making demands on me. I am physically disabled walking disability and I have other chronic out th disabilities, that .ake it hard for me to go in for my apolointmet s. That's why we had agreed on it for my appointments to be on zoom . The Director Stephanie Simon I was not participating when I was. I had Cardiology appointment the next day and the funeral to go to thatweek .she was demanding that I go in for an appointment she was yelling at me on the phone asking me where my doctor was and where the frunal was and who died .. the director Stephanie Simon has no feelings or Compassion or empathy for no one she saw that I was sobbing crying I had to beg her to stop. She was demanding need that I go in for my appointments and I had to go to her program and not go to the other program I had no choice. So then she said choose what I wanted . I felt I needed to tell her to let me out the program because she was forcing me to things I could not do.Now Stephanie will not let me back into the program after meeting that we had because I put a grievance then towards what she did to me asking for an apology she refused to apologize and confess what she did to me, in a time of my crises , she refuses to accept me back into the program. And I am begging please this is a mental health program. She has no compassion or empathy. She is a very demanding forcing person.her way or the high way . I thought they say they are the best .A crises program. They told me I wouldn't have to beg here .Stephanie Simon doesn't care for Noone but her self .
