Was looking for a reset and choose mountainside and leaving with mixed feelings and disappointment. Clearly you can feel there PE backed ownership puts profits ahead of “client service”. It’s a defiantly pay for service… environment as I chose to upgrade my recovery with a suite as I needed access to my computer and phones from time to time. Even in recovery you have real world responsibilities. This “access” didn’t come without a significant incremental per diem cost in excess of $1,500 per day. The wellness programs I thought were beneficial - my clinician Nicole was a true advocate and really took ownership in providing the best treatment as possible. From a personal perspective, as soon as I decided to not renew the suite even though I also paid for the regular accommodations, the admissions/concierge team couldn’t get me out of Mountainside fast enough. No exit interview. No post treatment plan. No guidance as to next steps. Just constant “badgering” as to when will I be out of room and when will my car pick me up. In addition, no one informed me that ride shares are practically nonexistent here leaving me on my own to find transportation home. It’s unfortunate because there was some good that transpired here but in the end I was just a body and number. Also please be aware, if staying over the weekend, many of the class instructors are “no-shows” leaving the clients/patients waiting around until finally heading back to there rooms without any explanation or more importantantly rescheduling of missed classes. I would encourage you to look elsewhere and good luck in your recovery.

Mountainside has been amazing in support of our son as well as us as parents throughout this challenging and painful journey of addiction!! In particular, The Sober Coach, Morris, that is working directly w our son and… in tandem with us is absolutely amazing in so so many ways. He has and continues to go up and above each and every day!! It takes a Team and we would be lost without Morris!! My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day… to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

My daughter’s recovery coach Jeanine Ierardi, was amazing!!! She was the best that Mountainside could offer as a recovery coach. She went far and beyond helping and supporting us through the most difficult time in our… lives. She saved our daughter’s life!!! My son was fortunate to have Travis Alfonso as his recovery coach upon discharge from Mountainside Canaan Extended Care Program. He returned to live in Brooklyn and met with Travis as he continued his recovery journey.… Travis has been there for my son and our family through the ups and downs of the recovery process. I advise anyone to read this before attending Mountainside . When you are being admitted you are required to sign every document possible and are assured your privacy rights are being honored. However I had an incident… where my privacy rights were blatantly violated. I had reported this and was essentially ignored . It is unbelievable that a company of this size can let a patients privacy be ignored . Please make sure you are aware of this before being admitted

I was fortunate to have an amazing recovery coach through Mountainside, Travis Alfonso! He was a huge support in my early recovery. I could go to him with anything. He checked in frequently and we always had great… sessions. He's what I'll miss most after moving on from Mountainside. If you are in search of a group session other than a traditional AA meeting then search no more: Facing Recovery with Travis is where it’s at. Attending his meetings is the highlight of my week. Travis has created a… safe, judgement-free and inclusive space for anyone on a path toward a drug or alcohol-free lifestyle. Mountainside’s clean, serene, and minimalist facility provides a calming and relaxed environment to gather in. Highly recommend for New Yorkers.

The ambiance was nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the snacks. I felt very supported during the group time
