Forge Health of Paramus – Paramus Reviews and Ratings
Nobody knows a treatment program like the patients who went through it. Their reviews of Forge Health of Paramus in Paramus, and those of their families, are collected here.
Healthcare workers and referrers who know the facility are welcome to add what they have seen.
Very unprofessional staff. Even the therapist I had hated the place so much she left to go to a better place that actually cares about their patients and not just looking for a pay day.
Do not go to Forge Health. I repeat do not they have therapists here that are useless and pathetic.
I don’t even know where to begin because it’s hard to put into words how much of an impact my therapist has had on my life. When I first started therapy, I was carrying years of stress, trauma, and trying to make sense… of things that honestly made me question myself. From day one, she created a space where I never felt judged. I could tell her anything, and no matter what I brought into session, she always met me with compassion, honesty, and kindness. One thing she’ll probably never realize is how many times she reminded me that I wasn’t crazy. When you’ve been through unhealthy relationships and years of questioning your own reality, hearing someone validate your feelings while also helping you see things objectively is life-changing. She never once pushed her own beliefs or opinions on me. She didn’t tell me what decisions to make. Instead, she gave me the tools to think through things myself and helped me trust my own judgment again. That’s something I’ll carry with me forever. She also showed me what a healthy therapeutic relationship is supposed to look like. She taught me that it’s okay to lean on my friends without expecting them to carry the weight that belongs in a therapist’s office. She helped me understand healthy boundaries, healthier relationships, and that healing doesn’t have to look perfect or happen on anyone else’s timeline. She was there through one of the hardest chapters of my life as I finally left my marriage for good. She listened to every fear, every setback, every win, and every moment where I felt completely overwhelmed. Somehow, every session ended with me feeling just a little bit lighter than when I walked in. I’m also grateful that she taught me it’s okay to grieve in my own way. Healing isn’t linear, and she never made me feel like I was taking too long or doing it the “wrong” way. She reminded me over and over that my process was my own, and that meant more than she’ll probably ever know. I’m genuinely heartbroken that she’s leaving because finding a therapist like her isn’t easy. While I’m so excited for this next chapter in her career, selfishly, I wish she wasn’t going anywhere. Thank you for helping me through one of the darkest seasons of my life. Thank you for listening without judgment, for reminding me of my strength when I couldn’t see it myself, for helping me rebuild my confidence, and for showing me what an incredible clinician is supposed to be. If you’re lucky enough to become her client, know that you’re in the best hands. She has changed my life in ways I’ll never be able to fully explain, and I will always be grateful for everything she’s done for me. Thank you Whitney R. for literally everything!!!!!!!! 🤍
From the first step through almost two years later; the treatment I’ve received here has shown and proven a better effective treatment standard. A amazing therapeutic value is precisely what I feel I have found HERE.… FROM DAY ONE If you seek to heal, I hope this review helps like a beacon to truth. Peace, safety and hope await…
I entered an IOP group at Forge Health (Paramus) around 2022 and again in 2026. I was privileged both times with wonderful clinicians, whom always made me feel respected and understood. My time with this facility has… provided me with invaluable insight to my inner-workings. Around 12/2025 I requested my medical records through the Forge website, as per instructed, and never recieved them. After waiting a number of months, I went to this location and received said records almost immediately. I have much gratitude for the staff working at this specific location.
Staff is COMPLETELY inept to return calls and emails or any part of their job. Communication is less than on par and you have to wait a week or 2 for an appt. Even if you have an appt scheduled Lisa gives a hard time to… refill medication. Providers don’t show on time or give a courtesy call to let patients know they are running behind.
EDIT: The therapists in the facility back in 2023/2024 were amazing, especially in my healing journey, and that's why my review was 5 stars at the time. BUT it all goes down the drain when all of a sudden you receive a… bill for thousands of dollars in 2025 from services done in 2023. Left 4 voicemail at 4 different days and times, yet no one in the billing department returns any calls. The therapists may be fantastic, but what good does that do when you're left stranded with a bill demanding *thousands of dollars*?
My five stars go out to Britt ❤️
Hi guys it's Moose. I go here for group therapy and I have to say thank you guys! I went from planning my funeral to planning my future! I highly suggest to give it a try you are an adult if you want to stop going… you're free to. Please give it a try I am positive I'm doing better. Much love Moose 💜🧘🏻☸️🕉️✡️🔯☯️☪️✝️🕎🛐📿 peace to all!
I have been waiting for a call back concerning my prescription refills. I called Wednesday and Thursday last week, and today is Sunday. Still haven’t heard back from them. So much for returning calls within 24 hours as… the voice mail says. Very unhappy with how they handle important calls.
Not working with clients but demanding clients comply with the treatment they recommend. What happened to client being in charge of their treatment
I am proud to say I am a current patient at forge. I have had nothing but good experiences here. I am in the IOP program which at first I didn't want to do but I am so happy I did. All the clinicians are very… knowledgeable and helpful. My therapist is amazing. I highly recommend Forge.
Forge (formerly Strive) is an extremely well run, state of the art MH Center. I’ve gone to 2 IOPS there At different times and found all of the staff consistent, caring and highly professional and supportive. Compared… to other IOP facilities, Forge is the best in the area by far! Anyone giving a negative review seems to have not adhered to/used the program to their benefit or didn’t communicate what needs they expected to be met. I’m grateful for this establishment!
I find Strive-Forge to be totally incompetent with their therapy and therapists. If the patient is not cured of his/her addiction after one visit, they ban the patient from their facility and recommend he/she live at… something like a halfway house (this is with only talking to the patient once) and demanding the parents to ban the patient from their home! Also, the Insurance Case Manager states that these homes are approx. $175 per month (out of pocket of course). The therapist does not mention that AT ALL!!! This facility does not care about their patients, only accepts patients that have insurance that pays in full and is totally careless and incompetent in treating the patient's addiction.
