Some of the staff at Samaritan Village are awesome, like Joe, Tim, Jazz, Caroline, and Teresa. They don't get paid nearly enough for the work they do and care as much about their clients as they do! Annette and Diane… are excellent administrators and seem to care about the clients. Larry can be a lot, but when he's not getting beside himself, he can actually show that he has a heart. Only one of the house managers is really incompetent, petty, has no class, and shouldn't have that job, but I won't name them because that's libelous, and if he had a brain, he might want to sue me. I would actually recommend Fox Run ( not over Ellenville); just be ready to be an active participant in your recovery. There's a segment of the community who are less than desirable, and everyone knows why. For some reason, they are a protected species there, and you can't say anything bad about them even though it's public information. The food is edible, and if you have allergies, make sure you let the medical staff know. Speaking of, the nurses are amazing and very kind, even when clients are rude and act like petulant children. The cellphone situation is really stupid, but they will tell you that you are lucky to be able to use it Thursday 3:00 pm to Sunday at 8:00. Some people do have bills to pay and need their phones. This is longer than I thought I would actually make it, but I just got out yesterday, so it's still fresh.
Staff kept my debit and credit cards when I left. Luckily I didn't stay long enough for them to use my money and locked my cards. Everything about this place is terrible. They should have an investigation
This is a great program this rebuild your mindset to come out a best person and live a better quality of life fox run is 100percent a good place to put yourself in if your falling off in life with a drug addiction
I was a troublesome teen this place along with Jim helped me find my way in life I'm successful and a better person I recommend it to anyone who's had it rough ... please 🙏 check them out ...helped me ! Can't be no… weakling coming here you put your big boy pants on and do the TIME .. your lucky to be here .... rehab counselors all that this isn't for the weak ... only the strong ....no bad reviews from me im a better MAN FOR IT I stuck it out for the entire 12 months ....No Court Order like most ... so please save yourself because nobody else will ...
I was here in 96 , tough love place when it was a residential treatment for adolescents , Kim and John tedaldi were the directors 🙏
This place is horrible they do not focus on treatment here. They are more concerned in punishment. The living conditions are bad the food is bad the director is an egomaniac the staff are very judgmental and it’s not an… healthy place for anyone in recovery
It was my first rehab experience..was there for 10 months ..straight from jail..I left with a $900 temporary assistant check.. after being there. 3 months they give you $50 every 2 weeks..i recommendsaving it..the food… was decent I gained 60 lbs..theres alot of groups like 5a day..very repetitive curriculum..it works if you want it to work. They will discipline you over minor things tho..& they take your phone except in the weekend or holidays..I will say I got jumped while being there..alot of guys right out of prison or jail go there..fights will happen police will come..but over all for the sake of my addiction it's a decent place!
It's a mental hospital, shelter, and rehab all in one. The food is horrible and the staff doesn't make the stay there any better. The nurses are the only nice people with the exception of a few counselors. Overall, I… would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
It's not a bad place but it's more based for addicts first time in a rehab they focus on teaching you skills to stay sober. There is no re-entry or employment opportunities. I struggle with re-entry so I'll be… transferring to veritas house or another place more focused on my re-entry needs.
Facility is a little better than Conifer Park but the food isn't as good.
