Kiah is fantastic 👏 front desk is also amazinggggg
DO NOT GO HERE, DO NOT SEND UNDERAGE CHILDREN HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PAIENTS. Cindy is the most horrendous of all. She doesn't have an empathetic bone in her body nor any understanding of mental illness, how… someone like that became supervisor is astounding. 90% of the therapist here do not care. You're lucky if you got someone whose new there, because they are the only ones that care at all. Kiah P is the ONLY person I could recommend there. They do not care at all about your wellbeing. Please send your children or yourself somewheres else. They pretend to care but don't. They do not have your child's best interest at heart, neither you. All they care about is money, at the end of the day its just a job. Do not open up to these people. The front staff is polite, but that's it. I truly hope someone more qualified takes over Cindy's job.
This place should actually be shut down ! it was great back when Gretchen was there ! But now absolutely not ok at all Cathy left and she was the last good person working here besides Dr Annette Kawecki no wonder why… people keep leaving for other jobs I tried to speak to different therapist who all said they won’t talk to me on the phone only zoom an I don’t recive the links an they don’t care they right down that it was a missed appointment by me. And then they put you on “engagement “ Wich is where you travel to Poughkespie to be told you need to learn how to make appointments and are looked down on when they Could have spoken to me on the phone like Cathy has then the receptionist love to play games and say they can’t call a bridge in for meds they put me on and won’t schedule me with my dr and they avoided my phone number and let it go to voice mail ! I called on my bf’s phone and they answer ! If you play games and don’t have compassion for patients and your goal isn’t to help people then you have absolutely no business working in this line of work ! I’ve left 8 messages today for “ engagement “ and they think it’s so funny to not even call me back at all a nice lady from Millbrok tried to help ! please do not go to this facility save your self the stress!
Therapy: Therapy at this place has very little to do with any skill building. Though I enjoyed my therapist, (Julie) as a person, a lot of what she did was reflective listening type of therapy. Kinds of things that if I… asked a friend, they could’ve told to me. Generally unhelpful and I am at the point of my life where I need more support than just someone telling me “wow.. yeah thats traumatic”. Psychiatrist: Kind of just sucks!!! I’ve seen .. 4-5 psychiatrists and nurses at this place, it has been a roller coaster and crazy unprofessional. Every single psychiatrist/nurse I have seen for medication at this place has left and NOBODY reached out to tell me that they were gone and that I would have to be switched over to someone new. There were several times where I didn’t have a psychiatrist or see a psychiatrist for more than a month at a time because of this. This also meant my information would sometimes just be completely lost! The most recent psychiatrist that I had seen at this place told me that the Genesight testing I received (shows how medications are metabolized based on your genes) was a conspiracy theory. This is a free country, we have free speech but DONT BRING THOSE KINDS OF OPINIONS TO YOUR JOB?! I had tried to get some sort of referral to go to another psychiatrist because of the issues regarding being switched around several times without warning and I was told that they try and keep psychiatric care and therapisr care within the same clinic, which makes sense. Unprofessionalism: This clinic in my time being here has been very unprofessional at several different points. The biggest issue for me is that they have a policy that you can’t miss (I believe its) more than one appointment without a 24-hour warning or else you’ll be discontinued. Funny thing about this though is that there were MORE TIMES THAN I COULD COUNT when my therapy and psychiatrist appointments were cancelled with less than 24-hour notice! This was mostly an issue with therapy; which I was supposed to be attending once a week and at times I would have appointments canceled for more than a month at a time. This had lead me several times to being worse mentally and go into a depression episode, which of course isn’t completely their fault but definitely contributed!. Overall: use this as a warning, this place worked for me for a year and a half but at this point I am beyond sick of how unprofessional this place has been.
Everyone here is so great . From reception to the counseling
Therapy here has changed my life for the better, every session. Eternally grateful to the therapists and receptionists here alike. Everyone is so warm, patient, understanding, kind, helpful, thoughtful. And I'm so… grateful. Thank you.
This place is absolutely fantastic, they have helped me handle my mental health so well in such a short amount of time. Jared at the front desk is so friendly and my therapist Julie is fantastic. Highly recommend
This place is horrid. Understaffed, full of drama, and unprofessional staff that willingly break consent as well as HIPPA contracts. Personally, the psychiatrist Dr. Heekin took me off a controlled substance with zero… notice after having conversations with someone that I signed a contract for him to not speak to. In addiction, my therapist Maggie Maher would confide other client’s information as well as staff information with me. When I threatened a lawsuit for the unprofessional behavior, they made up a false story to discharge me from the practice. I spoke to Maggie’s supervisor, even reached out to the CEO of Family Services. The only thing they were interested in was covering their tracks. I washed my hands of them, be careful.
