Collin County MH/MR Center – Plano Detox and Rehab Services
Collin County MH/MR Center – Plano is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

I love you but I don't like you!!!!!!!
I am currently in the middle of a crisis and I was just informed that it would be months before I would receive therapy and on top I have to wait three weeks just for a medication appointment. How am I supposed to… better my mental health is they can not adequately provide the necessary services displayed on their website.
IDK how many messages I left for Mr. Jan Perez who is the intensive care Supervisor at LPS. BUT I NEVER ENDED UP HEARING BACK FROM HIM. MY QUESTION IS THIS THAT WHY'S JAN PEREZ A SUPERVISOR AT LIFEPATH SYSTEMS IF HER… ISN'T GOING TO RETURN CLIENTS THAT RECEIVE SERVICES FROM LPS ??? ALL IN ALL I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS EMPLOYEE AT LIFEPATH BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET A HOLD OF HIM & HE NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS CAUSE I LEFT 3VOICEMAILS FOR HIM ... RIDICULOUS BEHAVIOR FROM A SUPERVISOR AT LIFEPATH SYSTEMS. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PERSON. I WILL COMPLAIN TO UPPER MANAGEMENT AT LPS ABOUT THIS SITUATION. I WAS WANTING TO SPEAK WITH MR. PEREZ REGARDING SOME CONCERNS OF MINE AND ALWAYS GOT THIS ATTITUDE. I HONESTLY WANTED TO GIVE 0-STARS BUT IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO DO THIS REVIEW THEREFORE I'VE GIVEN LPS 1-STAR.
Lifepath is a useless service. I feel I have a better chance of winning the lotto than getting a call back from them. They don't respond to emails either. Don't bother dropping by cause they also don't come to the front… desk, they just leave a paper with their phone number which no one answers. I don't know who they're helping but its for sure not me. Stacy nor Alma ever reach back out to you.
The worst decision I ever made was choosing to come here. The entire staff is deplorable and unworthy of your time and effort. Please, go somewhere else.
Great experience. Still are a lot of information gaps. No one tells you how each step works.
The integrated pharmacy here has been a literal hero in my life. I just want all the staff here to know they are so very much appreciated. I have never ever once had any issues when calling ahead requesting a refill.
Not real impressed with the place. My child and I have spent atleast 8 hours between TWO APPOINTMENTS just to get a starting diagnosis. I was told providers would contact me to set up his other appointments and provide… me information to help with school, getting a 504 etc. I have heard NOTHING for almost 2 months. These services are not free for us so im not really happy with the lack of service being provided. They have no real concern for the patients or getting things done in a timely manner. If you are able, find a different facility/company.
Disappointing, there is a lot of administrative work which seems unnecessary and still not mental help services are done. It seems that their priority is to send people away or to have them to come back over and over,… even for things that can be done over the phone such to get insurance ID number. It is obvious they want to get off work early. Family member went there but never got treatment. Then tried one more time and went through all the processing requirments, after 6 visits which each took hours never got an appointment to see a counselor, therapy or services. When repetitively asked about getting an appointment to get mental care help, finally we were told that there is a long waiting list of 1 to 2 months. The lack of supervising and management is evident. One wonders how the County resurces and money are been used.
Anybody. Know how to get Mr Perez in plano case mgr supervisor to call you back..no wonder the review scores are so low this is a state funded facility..with no regard for their patients just salaries and billing the… state for as much as they can..
They are really nice
They need to retrain their front desk staff on the behavioral side on customer service, deescalation techniques, and just basic empathy and understanding in regards to the mentally unwell people seeking help. And fyi if… you’re a new person (I’m not I actually been here before but it’s been a couple years so I have to do the intake all over again which is cool) you have to do a walk in to get seen. But when you do a walk in even if you come at 8:30 am and there’s only one other person in front of you, and 2 already in the back, you will not get seen for at least 4 hrs + or get false updates. So make sure you have no job to or a life to be able to spend all day in their waiting room! And don’t you dare try to schedule an initial appointment ahead of time to avoid the frustration of wasting a whole day seeing everyone come and go before you even tho you came 30 minutes after open and it’s already noon 30. Nope, no one will tell you this until you try to do it, but you actually can’t schedule your initial appointment ahead of time! Yup! Crazy I know right! Idk what kind of strange test this is but you work with mentally unwell people! A crisis line does nothing! I’m not tryna get inpatient stay I am trying to get back on my meds that’s already been established in your system!! Thanks for yalls very confusing system and rude front desk ladies, I love a snappy attitude when I’m ready to die! Update: I went back the next day, and they saw me much quicker due to it taking forever the prior day. Also there was a noticeable shift between the demeanor and professionalism once you actually get to the back. People in the back were great 5 stars. But everything else in my initial post I stand behind lol
This is in regards to their Early Childhood Intervention program. My son was 2.5 years old when he had his evaluation by the ECI staff and was set to start services. He started 2-3 weeks after the evaluation. He had… at-home services with Margarita Perez from August til beginning of April which was his 3rd birthday. He thrived so much with her and she was so incredibly kind, and very considerate if we were sick. Although, I tried not to miss barely any appts. My son loved her and was always extremely excited to see her every week. Some weeks, twice a week. I was impressed by the quality of service. We were on a sliding scale and paid under $30 a month for 4 sessions a month. Completely doable. Not only was I able to get my son quality care for his developmental and speech delay here, they helped me get him into Plano ISD Isaacs Early Childhood school for completely free. I pay nothing for my now preschooler to go there and he is thriving like no other. I’m beyond thankful for the extremely low cost to nearly free services plus being able to get my child in local top rated preschool for FREE beyond Lifepaths program and they even gave me a list of outside speech therapy beyond their program since my son has aged out. Resources on top of resources. So thankful! And everything was seamless from day 1 to the end.
We've been visiting this place for over a year, and we only have positive words to say, which aren't enough to highlight the kindness, sensitivity, and attentive care they provide to their patients. From the front desk,… where they always welcome you and help you with everything, to the doctors, nurses, pharmacy staff, and the lab lady—everyone makes us feel like family, very concerned about our well-being. Thank you for everything, and may God bless you all.
I really like this place. Just seeing the rude comments upsets me. You do have to follow up a little more often than going to a doctor's office with insurance. It does get kind of stressful going twice a month, but if… you work with them, they work with you. I really love my doctor Kimmi! She is very good. As far as case management, I've never had a problem either. I'd say this place is clean and, a better environment than alot of other government facilities.
I didn’t find their services very helpful. You can get free mental health medicine. I have a different immune health disorder, can’t get free medicine for that. If your income is low enough they can help you get snap… benefits. But unless you are diagnosed with a disability you will be forced to enroll in Texas workforce solutions. They will probably diagnose you with a mental disorder and try to put you on medicine. The monthly case manager meetings are annoying and you have to come up with two goals. Just not that helpful. They stopped zoom meetings so either you have to drive there or if you get a good case manager they will come to you. If you need social security disability benefits expect to be denied the two times and get your own good lawyer before you apply, I still don't have benefits after appeal.
if i could give 0 stars i would. terrible experience with lifepath, my partner comes here for medication and was trying to get help but you have to wait months for them to even schedule you with a psychiatrist. he needs… his dose increased so he runs out of medication faster and they don’t care even if it’s a crisis. he has had to wait weeks to get his medication. this place is so unorganized, if you’re looking for actual help this place is terrible.
You are better off moving to dallas city if you want help for any disability of any kind for your children. Wasted over 4 years in plano with no help. Got to dallas and got help within 6 months.
My experiences with life path. I have been getting help from Lifepath for 8 years. I enjoyed going to art group, women’s group and LOC3. This year I met some fantastic leads, team lead and supervisor. First person, I… would like to mention is Supervisor Austin. He made my life easier. He is a really good, kind, good listener and helped me out.He is very professional and follow all the life path rules and HIPPA regulations. Thanks Austin. Second and 3rd , Robin (the team lead) LOC 3 lead. Angela Thomas team lead. They both r down to earth, good listeners, always in a positive mood. I am letting the management know how much they impacted in my life. I feel comfortable with them. The front workers Jamie, Kate and Chase r wonderful and helpful. Thanks life path. Tri Suwal
I have spent numerous hours trying to get help for the grief that I am carrying after my husband's death and other losses. After 10 hours with 4 different "intake people who look at their computers, asking questions"… over and over and still NO HELP! Do not waste your time hoping for Life Path to help you navigate through your circumstances. They are very unorganized and have wasted alot of my time!!! Well, FINALLY, a person called me after I had waited for 3 weeks and they said they would help me do things that I do not know how to do. I am very thankful for that.
I took my wife for three times before she was seen the second time we went the consult refused to see because he wanted to go to lunch at 1050 am....wow y'all just opened we went without breakfast to be there yet he… couldn't see a patient who was suffering for his own personal gain
The front office staff is not empathetic, helpful, or the least bit friendly and understanding. I will give a new review once we get in and I hope it is outstanding. I am unable to understand why they do not make intake… appointments and only accept patients on a first-come first-serve basis.
The wraparound program (Yes Waiver) is the answer to our prayers in making our family feeling supported. They work with us as a team, setting up goals and came up with strategies for us parents that help our child… making improvements with his behavior. It started by a fellow mom who shared her success story of her son's transformation who connected me with Jenna who further helped us getting into an evaluation then a short waiting list. Our child enjoyed the art therapy, recreational therapy, and felt more connected through the skills training (shout out to 2Js). Carole has great resources and I can't thank the team enough for everything they've done.
The day we signed up for Lifepath was a game changer for our family. We were lost. We had no idea how to help our child with his mental health issues. They offer a sliding scale to meet you where you are financially.… They were pivotal in helping us navigate through the cost of hospitalizations and crisis. They are available to the whole family to wrap around the child with several therapies. We began to see huge strides once our child started equine therapy and music therapy. Most people don’t realize Medicaid will help with ALL families once your child qualifies for wraparound services It doesn’t matter your income. I was skeptical but was told several times that we would qualify for services. The relief from financial burden was big enough, but to also begin to see my son heal was amazing. The changes in all of us has been life changing and I recommend just making that first connection. They will take it from there and your child will thrive. I cannot say thank you enough to Kenosha, Jena, Alison and Autumn. I love you all and consider you all my family.
Lifepath has really helped me but there are definitely areas of improvement that need to be worked on urgently. This is a first come first serve clinic. When I went for my first time I went when they opened so i could… be seen immediately and I was after my paperwork which took about an hour. They assigned me a case manager and my case manager reached out to me the following week with our first appointment and they're great. They didn't have a appointment available for the doctor until a week or two after my medication would be finished and it's been over a week and I call everyday to have someone tell me someone will call me back about my refill but no one has yet and I'm very stressed. I still like Lifepath but things like medication need to be top priority. If you have anxiety or ADHD there are certain types of medications they cannot prescribed but they have some alternatives ************ Update: someone has called me and got me an earlier appointment and since my review things have changed for the good. I'm changing my review and bumping up my stars. I get reminders for my appointments. Easy and flexible scheduling for my sessions and other appointments. Pharmacy is on point and delivers my medication on time. Case managers are so caring.
I graduated from Mark Sheppards group here and they have helped me with mental health meds that because of my low income I do not have to pay for, with my addiction recovery so much and I am about to call to set up one… on one counseling. I will update my review after receiving these services.
