Katy VA Clinic – Katy Detox and Rehab Services
What Katy VA Clinic – Katy offers, on record, is detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Katy VA Clinic – Katy Address, Location and Contact Information
You will find this provider at 750 Westgreen Boulevard, Katy, Texas, 77450. The city lies within Harris County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Katy VA Clinic – Katy Reviews and Ratings
What is Katy VA Clinic like for patients? Reviews in this section, from RehabSeekers and from around the web, describe the program in the words of patients and families who know it.
I had an appointment at the VA Katy Clinic scheduled months in advance for 11:30 AM. I arrived 15 minutes early, but wasn’t called back until 12:00 PM. Once I was finally taken to the back, I was told there would be an… additional 30–40 minute wait before being seen. When I expressed my frustration — especially because my employer requires 14‑day advance notice for medical appointments — the nurse responded with a dismissive “Are you going to wait or reschedule?” This was unprofessional and made the situation more difficult. This was my first visit after being transferred from the Richmond VA Clinic, where I never experienced issues like this. The delays and the attitude from the nurse were disappointing and created a real hardship. I do want to acknowledge that the representative at window #5 was the only staff member who acted professionally and genuinely tried to help. Her effort stood out and was appreciated. Overall, the scheduling delays and staff interaction need improvement.
The BEST Doctor Retired! Dr. Jenny Hall is the best there is and she saved my life!
Great customer service for my visit
Terrible service. Help is hard to get.
Okay, I thought I'd give a shout out to this VA outpatient center in Katie. Because I see the low numbers, and I don't think it's a fair deal to give a negative review for negative experiences in a system that's full of… bureaucracy. When people are just trying to do their jobs, the only complaint I have about this clinic is that I can't keep a primary care physician. They keep leaving, but that has nothing to do with the clinic that's, I don't know, maybe the theory. The doctors aren't happy with the pay or the bureaucracy or the workload. I don't know, but it's a lot asked of them to help us veterans. So I appreciate the effort that they put out every day. They come to work, they deal with us. Sometimes we can be difficult as vets, because we have a lot of issues that we're dealing with the military can really screw you up Lionel, so for them to have the patience, anybody in the medical field, my mom was ALV. N for 24 years before she passed and my hat goes off to anybody in the medical profession. Because I know it's not easy work. Some of the stories she would tell when she came home were horrifying, and I hope that I don't ever become one of those problem patient. Um, but this is just a shout out to the K. V. A the wait times aren't that long. I've never had to wait 22 long for an appointment and if they have the availability in the schedule, they'll fit you in.So I guess it's all a matter of perspective. You can go into a situation with a negative attitude and get a negative experience, or you can go in with a positive attitude. And if negative things happen, they brush off of you.So my advice is to just be calm and be patient.
Excellent nursing care. The staff is great and helpful.
I was on hold for over 40 minutes and then they come on the line and their Rude on top of that!
I have visited this clinic twice now and I am very happy with the care I received. Dr. Salman in the Eye Clinic was very professional and quite helpful. The clinic is easy to get to and easy to navigate. Front desk… personnel were are also helpful.
DO NOT GO HERE!! Any veterans will be better off just going straight downtown instead of this clinic. When their egregious incompetence inevitably fails you, ultimately you'll have to go downtown to resolve the issue… and find anything that resembles accountability anyway. The most common responses I've gotten to inquiries about my care are: "That's not my job/department," or, "there's nothing I can do." It seems like the number one goal for everyone their is to pass you on to the next person.
Excellent service for our military veterans service connected disabilities whether it be rehab 2nd floor, lab 3rd floor main, x-rays, eye exams, or diabetic eye exams, & other clinics Arias ABC and D, don't forget the… snack food machine in area d & drinks
My Dr provider @ VA clinic in Katy and his staff are always attentive and very helpful
I just started taking my mother here. I have found the staff to be very supportive and helpful. The wait time once you sign in to see your doctor is 20-25 minutes at the most. I have found that the doctor she has seen… who has now left took his time and answered all questions. I am very happy with the care and service she has received at the Katy VA.
It's not great, but not terrible. It's free so it gets busy in the lab. Time your visits there. Appointments are not needed for many things in the lab, maybe why they don't seem to help. Again, timing; 0900 on a Monday… for example, expect to wait. There needs to be better signage on the first floor, and expect to wait weeks or months to be seen. Use your app or website to verify appointments. For controlled med refills make sure to request refill two weeks out and be ready to follow up, a lot. That said, it's free, it's not a commercial / public facility: Some of this should be expected, some issues should be easy to correct, and one or two issues with specific doctors are not a reflection of the entire clinic.
As 2025 comes to an end, I write this rivew with the upmost gratitude to the divine: I as a Black Veteran was disrespected and overlooked by a white supremacist model of Healthcare that was born of America. The same… Healthcare system that experimented on Black Bodies, taught that Black people feel less pain than whites, the same system that this year pushed a pregnant Black woman away from the hospital and she had he baby in the car are but a few examples of this medical system. For years I would try to communicate my issues to VA doctors only to see them ignore real life problems I experienced. For the sake of transparency I will state that I am a Black Veteran with PTSD, I was experiencing issues with unexplained hairloss, and Sadly in trying to work with the chain of command in the Houston VA, I was repeatedly ignored. After being lied on by the head of the Richmond, Sugarland, and Katy Outpatient Clinic, I made the decision to leave the country to take better care of myself. In truth, what led this director lying on me and essentially having a Black man policed for Healthcare began when a doctor in the Sugarland Outpatient clinic made medical decisions for me without seeing me. This director thought me saying "God will take care of you" was in somehow threatening their livelihood and essentially their was a lie told that I wanted to "hurt the Indian doctors ". All of this is a lie. I am a Black man approaching 40 and I come from a family that has a history of Cancer. I thought I could be proactive with the VA and I was wrong. I even had a doctor that is Black deny tests that I requested because I knew something was not right with me. Essentially I refuse to be seen for Healthcare like I am a criminal and I make the drive all the way to New Orleans where I know I will be treated with dignity. I then decide that it is imperative I move out of the country to get the Healthcare I need and I am grateful for the fact I a citizen of Portugal. The Portuguese doctors that examined me discovered I have asthma after thoroughly examining me. I was given all of the tools I needed to start taking care of my health holistically and the VA failed to truly see me as someone needing care, they saw me as a number. This is the same system that denied me Community Care when I wanted to find doctors that would actually listen. In essence, I will repeat what I said; God will take care of you like God has truly taken care of me. God indeed sees EVERYTHING and no one can escape God or divine judgement/retribution. Everything that is happening to VA Healthcare now is because at the core they do not care for patients, the Veterans they claim is an honor to serve. The very Veterans they disrespected/ disrespect can not stand up and uphold a system this horrible. I heard a Marine once tell me, "they only honor the service of the dead" and that was my early wake up call to see O was not the only one going through it in this system. I am blessed to be in Portugal and taking care of my health. The VA could learn from the Portuguese.
Same old VA. Thought this clinic was better but we were sadly mistaken. My husband had an appt back in October. The dr ordered several referrals. Out of all of them, ONE office bothered to call — once — and because he… didn’t answer (he works nights and was asleep), they just cancelled the referral altogether. No follow-up, no second attempt, nothing. I’ve called multiple times over the past three months trying to get these referrals processed, and still absolutely nothing has been done. One of them is for a concerning medical issue, but in typical VA fashion, it’s been ignored and he's left hanging. It’s unbelievable how broken this system is. Zero accountability, zero urgency, and zero care for the people who actually need help. The VA manages to make even the simplest process a nightmare. So frustrating — but sadly, not surprising.
If I could rate this place less than 1 star I WOULD!!!! The Drs do not listen to the patients and what the patient is trying to advocate about for themselves. They cancel appointments with no notice, takes monthssssss… to even be seen by your medical team. Even if you do a walk in, the nurses are condescending and try to rush you out. I hate dealing with them and this facility.
I have been had private insurance for over 30 years. And I am very blessed to be part of the VA Healthcare system now. From the moment I checked in with Wei, greeted by Gullette and seen by Dr. Shafi. What a wonderful… experience. Very professional and compassionate. Thank you for your service. Proud to be a veteran and have Katy VA Clinic as a resource. Tip: Don't try and schedule appointments on the VA Official site. Just call the local Katy VA Clinic and they will HOOK you up.
By far the worst VA clinic I have been to. Firstly, the location is hard difficult to find as there is very little signage directing you to go. Secondly, I showed up 20 minutes early to my appointment. Was told I was… checked in and to sit in and area. After watching several individuals check in and be seen and left. I checked in AGAIN only to be seen an entire hour after my appointment time for a 2 minute blood draw.. The 2nd floor staff are extremely rude as well. I understand the the Katy Va clinic is busy and it takes months for appointments. But the staff being rude and apathetic to so many veterans is a slap to the face of everyone that has served and sacrificed.
