Community Healthcore – Longview Detox and Rehab Services

Community Healthcore – Longview is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

My daughter has received counseling at the Gilmer office from the beginning of her freshman year of high school until the end of her junior year when they let her counselor go without any warning to the kids that she… counseled. She received a lot of good help and advice from her counselor up until this point. When they asked if she would like to see someone else she said no. Thankfully, the time she spent there was beneficial to her up until that point.

We have moved from the Dfw and trying to transfer. We have been waiting on the meds for a long time now. Had the 1st appointment on Feb 25th. Never gotten the meds. This place is slow!

I've been searching for a place like Community Healthcore since I was 16. I'm 66 now. We all have things happening in our lives. Putting our own mental and health wellbeing on the back burner. Don't allow terms like… mental, psyichrist, counseling or new medications to name a few. I was accepted by court to complete 1 year at CHC to address many of my lifetime personal issues. Best thing that ever happened to me. Could be yours too if you let it. ❤️

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Is there a way where i can sue the therapist for mental abuse? How are you going to have the audacity to give negative feedback to a patient whos intention was just to get… help and yours was just to get a check out of them. ?! Make it make sense

I would so not recommend this place! They make you feel like you’re worthless. I came here to get help and the “Therapist” i ended up getting most definitely didn’t help! But i get it. Make appointments i never approved… off!🙄 and still expect me to show up , just because you are in need to get your check! Joey-joseph brewer whatever his name was made me uncomfortable when he made a comment that left me wondering why i even bothered to look for help. Turns out I didn’t really need it because not only did he became a problem after making a comment as to “Why any positive thing that was happening to me had anything to do with why i was there” like you asked and I thought that was the whole point of therapy was to vent,?! I get your not my friend (i wasn’t looking for one) i wanted to improve on myself not be talked down negatively like seriously. I get i came here to get help! But let me make something clear i didn't come here to be reminded of the reasons why i was getting help from to begin with. Apart from that he also mentioned something about medication?! I don't rely on medication to be mentally okay! But i loved the way him and his supervisor jumped right into the conclusion that they see anyone that comes through that door very poorly people that are mentally ill , that all of them need to be on medication, that is hilarious. I cant take these people seriously anymore.. because its the same way if the tables were reversed they see you exactly the same way. No different from someone who didn’t get a degree on this. They don’t take anyone serious and everything you go through they take it as a joke. And then you have his supervisor.. a lady who immediately jumped down on me and say “Can i be honest? You don’t look mentally okay” like okay lmao 😂 very professional of you to say. So was your co worker not doing his job to get me on the right track? I guess not! 🤷🏻‍♀️🙂

The counselor and case worker do not follow up or even answer their phone. When someone has a crisis and commits suicide it would not surprise me one bit if they didn't care, as long as they got their check. They're… ghetto and non-caring

I went in today around 10 am and saw Ellen who was doing my intake assessment and around the end of the assessment she was telling me to answer the questions as fast as I can, and to hurry up because she wanted to get… lunch before her next appointment at 1pm. I almost walked out but I didn't because I need to get in to see a psychiatrist, but this made me feel absolutely worthless and like I was an issue and nothing but a bother to her. it has been bothering me all day long. with how she made me feel. like her stomach getting full was more important than my own well being. if I could go anywhere else I would but this is the only place I can go to.

I sought help at Community Health Core first in 2010 for treatment. I relocated back to my home town after the death of my beloved sibling. I honestly didnt have the support of family, so I had to take this place on… SOLO. What I learned going through this center is how wicked and cruel people can be to one another. I worked in the medical field 20 years and never dreamed of abusing and mistreating my patients. I experienced instances of staff misusing and abusing my medical history for a selfish agenda. Some staffs have biased towards patients with behavioral health issues, can be bullies and retaliatory if you speak up and don't feel you are being treated justly. I was "secretly" reported to a State Agency BY Community Health Core, which I STILL HAVE the recorded conversation with that state agent pointing BACK to these people. Anyhow my case was closed in a matter of weeks. Like I said... 20 year medical profession, if you have a loved one be it in a nursing home, rehab, hospital etc. YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO RECORD A VIDEO especially if you think they are being abused. Which I ended up having to do with these people. Other instances is they deny or withhold your medications. Get to the Pharmacy to fill the prescription and they DC the med or switch doses. They Ignore your phone calls when you call about your meds, nurses don't return calls or phone hang-ups. I was referred to them by state, federal and community-based entities for a personal matter that was compromising my treatment, I could tell by their actions they didn't want to help. They gave me the run-arounds. Sometimes they call and cancel your appointments or when you get to your appointment and on time they skip over your appointment. I don't wish no one to get hurt. Please take a witness with you- friend, neighbor, family or an electronic witness. Learn to love yourself and some people from a distance. This place also has other local agencies in their back pockets so be careful.
