Intercept Associates – Federal Way Detox and Rehab Services

Intercept Associates – Federal Way is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Intercept Associates – Federal Way Address, Location and Contact Information

The facility address is 30610 Pacific Highway South, Federal Way, Washington, 98003. King County covers this area. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

This place is only here to lie on you and get your money. I got a DUI in 2006, came here first. During the assessment they asked me 5 separate times if I had insurance, I said no, I just got out of the military and had… no job yet. As part of the intake packet I signed an ROI for my lawyer only. After the assessment the counselor told me to come back in 3 days, I did. At that point she told me I was an alcoholic and that they recommended I do there IOP program and it was OK insurance covered it. I reminded her that I said 5 times in the assessment, I have no insurance, she said you can be put on a payment plan, but the program was $3000 a month. I said I will talk to my lawyer and get back to her. The counselor said she already sent the assessment and recommendation to the court. I was warned by my lawyer previously to not do that ever, I asked to se the release. They handed me a photo copy were you can clearly see a cut mark from a different form taped to this copy. I demanded the original, I got the run around. I left and went to my lawyer and we got an injunction slapped on it and I went elsewhere to get an assessment. Years later I learned that this organization has had dozens upon dozens of complaints against them, that the owner's spouse was in a high level position in DBHR and was making those complaints disappear.

Terrible terrible place. Rick Sherman is a joke of an assessor. I've been clean since 2019 but had a reckless driving case from 2022, no drugs or alcohol involved but I got a reckless so the court wants an eval. I wrote… an incorrect date from when I got treatment FOURTEEN years ago, so Rick goes off on me saying that I'm in denial and I need to provide 5 years of UAs for him to believe me that I'm clean, he outright calls me a liar because my date was off by 2 days! If they have this information, why do they ask me? I'm surprised I got as close as I even did! Their assessments are a JOKE. Almost all court recommended treatment centers will go above and beyond to tell you that you have a problem when you don't, or a worse problem than what you have.. all in the name of money. They don't listen to reason or even facts. They need to be investigated! I went to Sound mental health and had a wonderful experience during their assessment, where they quickly assessed that I had been clean for several years.

This has been one of the worst experience I've ever had. Not only a money grab but I went in for a ua, I work in construction and drink water to stay hydrated. They said my ua was diluted by .7. Failed. Which is bs I… have been clean the entire time. So they wanted another I was like ok what ever, I know I have nothing to hide. They already sent it out as I failed a drug test and now want me to do a 4 week relapse provention course out of my own packet before even being able to prove my innocence. Here you are guilty until proven innocent.

I had a great experience with Intercept Associates. Marianne was my counselor and she was really nice and helpful and caring. The staff was always really knowledgeable and helpful and responsive. I never had any… problems with anything and I got through my program really quickly. They took great care of everything so I didn't have to worry about things. I thought it was a great program and they helped me a lot.

One of the worst experiences, treat you like you are a lifetime criminal and user, don't really counsel you but instead judge you, and don't charge your insurance as as stated, no meeting reminders like idk an email.… There are better programs in the area.

I came to this establishment several years ago through a divorce that falsely claimed I had alcohol issues. I only completed the assessment process, for reason that will be obvious. I was seen by counselor Jim… Shoemaker. He falsely used the arrest records from a person who has my name with the same middle initial to recommend treatment. I was forced to prove that the two DUI’s acquired by my name sake were in fact a different person. I receive no apology and was still recommended to treatment (at their facility, of course). No follow up assessment was offered. Unfortunately, the courts use this group of rip off artist to add insult to an already painful experience. I considered suing them but ultimately wasn’t up for the fight. Don’t use this place!!! There are other court approved options for you!
