About Addictions Treatment Program – Waukegan

Addictions Treatment Program – Waukegan Detox and Rehab Services

Addictions Treatment Program – Waukegan offers detox, residential treatment and sober living. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Housing support covers the months following a more intensive stage. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

I was there a few times. The LAST AND FINAL time was about 12 years ago. I was meant to be there. I actually met my husband there. Lol. These people care... they do care, if you care. Counselors can only do so much to… help someone who is NOT ready for help. This was state funded. I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's better than Cook County Jail, Lake county Jail and McHenry County Jail. People lived in gutters slept on sidewalks, did anything necessary to fullfull our addictions and then go to a state funded place and complain that it is an awful place. I'll take ATP over active addiction any day. People don't realize how stressful counselors jobs are. They are dealing with some of the worst, entitled people America has to offer. A place can only do so much. They can only help you as much as you want it. If you have found yourself in ATP and are ungrateful for whatever they have to offer, you are not ready. They treated me better than I treated myself. So, I learned alot from ATP. It's not a full on rehab. It's more of a first step to sobriety. THANK YOU ATP FOR TAKING CARE OF ME BETTER THAN I CARED FOR MYSELF. YOU TOOK ME IN WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST. ILL NEVER FORGET WHERE MY SOBRIETY BECAME A POSSIBILITY AND THEN REALITY. NEVER THOUGHT ID GET CLEAN. EVER. IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN! THANK YOU AGAIN ATP FOR SHOWING ME RESPECT WHILE I WAS GIVING IT ALSO. The last in the reviews that said she got hit, I guarantee, you got him to that point. I've seen alot of disrespect and patients who think they are owed the world in a STATE FUNDED 2 week stay. (If I remember correctly it was 2 weeks.) YOU get back what you put out into the world. Thank You ATP for helping me get off the streets of Chicago's West side and taking me in. I had a counselor that really believed in me more than I believed in myself. Thank you! - JILL

This place saved my life! If it weren’t for the wonderful counselors and staff, I wouldn’t be where I am today!

Horrible experience here. Patients are treated like criminals, the Nurses in particular seem like they hate their jobs. The restrooms and showers SMELL HORRIBLE. I felt disgusted taking a shower. RUN FROM THIS PLACE.

Idk why the rating is so low. They actually care and want to help. They will do their utmost to help you get on your feet. Theresa, Ray, Darryl, David, and everyone else there is so compassionate and Nice. Idk what they… get paid but it’s not enough; frfr.

This place is overall terrible but I made the most of it. I was going good and a counselor put his hands on me. His name is James and it's ironic because he's the anger management counselor lmao what a joke. I'm still… clean even though I got kicked out into the streets while homeless. They didn't care

My loved one is going to treatment at this facility, while for the most part my boyfriend has done well for himself, I can’t say much for the counselor Armenia, she embarrassed me while having visitation & was… completely unprofessional with my boyfriend. I do not recommend her. She enjoys having a power trip over my boyfriend and I do not find that appropriate or professional
