MCCA – Waterbury Detox and Rehab Services
MCCA – Waterbury provides intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone can ask what a typical week looks like before starting. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together.
Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before. Whether medication is available is worth confirming at the outset.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Christina Lentine. She came into our lives when my 32 year old pregnant daughter was struggling with addiction and felt lost. It was later in the day when I reached out for… help, but without any hesitation, Christina answered the call and told me she was going to be there. True to her word, she showed up with compassion, kindness, and hope. Christina came with a recovery journey chart that immediately built trust with my daughter. She took the time to sit down with her, create a personalized recovery plan, and show her that recovery was possible. From the very beginning, Christina treated my daughter with respect and dignity. She never once made her feel judged. For the first time in a long time, my daughter became genuinely interested in her recovery and wanted to participate in the REACH Program because Christina believed in her. Her kindness, patience, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our family. We need more people like Christina in this field. Thank you, Christina, from the bottom of my heart for giving my daughter encouragement, support, and a reason to believe in herself again. You are truly making a difference in people’s lives. Christina please know that Pamela is grateful for you and so are we.
This facility is usually mandated by court order in most cases clients are involuntarily participating in a program that will help them with their Mental Health issues with anger and any substance abuse if applicable. I… would like to say due to the new Fresh Faces and Lively Souls mcaa is making a comeback. I highly recommended and the administration is top tier. Even though this establishment has been in this community for many years the percentage of Rehabilitation is tremendously low throughout the community of Waterbury and Statewide. Thus we are referring to less than 10% of clients actually have success rates. However hope should not be given up and MCCA should be given another opportunity because they are trying their best to make a dreadful experience into a positive one. Shout outs to the director and Jackie who has been at the establishment for over three decades.
Hi mcca is the best program for everyone and very good and best teachers and stuff
I want to give my deepest gratitude to my case worker, Alissa Capaldo from the REACH Program, who has been nothing short of incredible during one of the hardest periods of my life. After leaving a domestic situation… while pregnant and caring for my toddler boys. I found myself without somewhere to go but protecting my kids was my first concern and asking for help wasn’t easy, especially when you are vulnerable, scared, and trying to protect your children. I was connected to Alissa through a referral and I can say I have never met a caseworker in any organization that stepped in with this much urgency, compassion and unwavering dedication. No matter the stopping blocks that came in my way at times, she continues to lift me up and support me without hesitation. Alissa is now working tirelessly to secure housing resources for me and my children, while also helping us gather essential supplies for my babies and connecting us to every bit of support we are able to obtain. Alissa resources and referral have been awesome. Alissa checks in consistently, advocates for us, and makes sure nothing is overlooked. I can say what I appreciate the most is Alissa never judged me, never made me feel small, and never make me feel like I’m a burden. She treats me with respect, patience, and genuine kindness. I am also able to express myself which isn’t easy in my situation. She’s given me hope again. I want to say thank you to Alissa’s supervisors for having someone like Alissa on their team. She represents the REACH Program with professionalism, empathy, and heart. Workers like her change lives, and mine is proof. Due to Alissa’s dedication and compassion, my children and I are finally moving toward stability and peace. I am truly grateful for everything she has done and continues to do. She is a blessing, and I will never disappoint her no forget the impact she has had on our lives.

The employees at MCCA are wonderful. For this to be my first experience, they made me feel comfortable. All of them made my experience there go pretty smooth. From the women's groups I attended, to the 1 on 1 sessions,… I appreciate it all. Mike was an amazing counselor! I've Never had an issue!!
Very unprofessional rude staff . Place is a complete joke was discharged from my anger management class because I said asked how does it makes sense that I get certain allotment a month for my MMP card and was being… told I have to stop using my medication or can’t be graduated when I was there for anger management never tested positive for anything but my medication or even had any drug related charges ever.
Carol Strong was a good therapist and on point about the issues that were going on.
I currently attending the women's morning IOP.. This is my second time coming back. My first time I can admit I didnt want the help. Now my second time which is currently it's the best thing I have done with my life. My… group is very supportive and I love it ... I would recommend this place to world this go round.

The staff is a joke they don’t have control over the class . The ppl in class were disruptive and disrespectful didn’t want to take their headphones out didn’t want to get off their phones . They discharged me over… hearsay . A false rumor they didn’t ask me about they just kicked me out . I thought they are here to help all they care about is getting your money . 3x a week u have class 3x a week you get urine tested at 20$ a pop times however many ppl in class not to mention there charge you per class . Highly unprofessional do not recommend if you need real help .
