About Catholic Charities – Sioux City

Catholic Charities operates from 1601 Military Road in Sioux City. The site sits in Woodbury County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Le Mars. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Care offered spans more than one level, which means someone can move between them without changing provider.

Treatment Services at Catholic Charities

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Catholic Charities Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 1601 Military Road, Sioux City, IA 51103, in Woodbury County. The catchment reaches Le Mars. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

My son and I just got a place after being homeless. I asked for help with rent since I was in between jobs. It took awhile to get a response and all I got was “we don’t have any funds”. Amy No empathy, sympathy or… anything. No options on how to get help. No wonder why so many people are leaving the church. I grew up Catholic and this is a disgrace.

I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, February 24th two weeks ago and went in an hour ago and was told I was never scheduled to begin with, even though they searched and confirmed my appointment twice. This is super… unprofessional and absolutely unbecoming for a facility that’s supposed to provide mental health services for all.
