About Las Cruces VA CBOC – Las Cruces
Las Cruces VA CBOC operates from 3401 Del Rey Boulevard in Las Cruces. The site sits in Dona Ana County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Anthony, Doña Ana and Fairacres. Distance matters here, and the nearest option is not always the one that fits.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Las Cruces VA CBOC
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Las Cruces VA CBOC Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 3401 Del Rey Boulevard, Las Cruces, NM 88012, in Dona Ana County. The catchment reaches Anthony, Doña Ana and Fairacres. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

I have been going to the Las Cruces VA Clinic for 14 years and they are the best. My Primary Provider for 14 years has moved on. For me the Las Cruces VA Clinic has provided much better care than I had in other VA… Clinics. I have excellent Community Care as well.
I know the VA gets a bad rap sometimes, and in some areas it’s probably warranted, but this clinic has been pretty good to me overall.
Fast and friendly service, Tommy and the medical personnel were very helpful.
I use this clinic quite a bit and always get great care. The staff are friendly and professional...and they truly care. The VA in general has come quite far in the past 10-15 years IMHO, and it shows. There's really a… sense of friendly environment...helpful culture at this clinic. We veterans are quite lucky to have this clinic. I make sure to always say thanks and try to let them know they are appreciated.
Everyone is stellar!
‘Closed at 4:45p’ I called at 4:40. Seems like a pattern of laziness and fake care at this location. No appointments on Fridays or they’ll cancel on you last minute. They don’t give refills on medications. Overall, I… don’t feel cared for and I would love to hear other veterans opinions as well.
I use the VA a lot and have had nothing but very professional, high-quality care at the Las Cruces clinic. A smallish clinic but they do their best to serve veterans. Sure, it would be better to have a larger facility… to be able to offer more specialized services. But that is not really a reflection of the dedication, competence, and professionalism of the clinic employees.
Very rude and non caring staff as a whole
I had a good experience at this clinic. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. NP Mel was thorough and caring.
Excellent care by all the VA health system, but the phone system is not a good system for contact. and the VA system as a whole is a wreck for the veteran. The VA as a whole has the idea that if they can deny claims… long enough you will die and they will not have to pay for your claims. As for the health system itself, it is A number 1.
They never tell you that you are responsible for getting the results from community care appointments to them. I called the community care line and they were incredibly rude. I then called the healthevet line and they… told me I had to get my own results and fill out an information release form even though my VA doctor (that in not a doctor) ordered the tests. That is BS. As a followup, I got a letter from the El Paso va a week after the original post stating that I was being transfered to the Albuquerque va. Wow.
They don't open until 9 on Tuesdays but haven't changed it on Google I wasted a trip there when I could of been woth my new born helping around the house
I have gotten excellent care here in a timely manner. Everyone at this clinic is courteous and professional.
Incomplete information… They need to know their job! Communication and understanding is what we need, all of us.
La Jolla, CA, Appleton and Milwaukee, WI put this place to shame. A month or more wait for anything you need. Doctors difficult to understand. Idk if it’s just underfunded and/or overloaded, but I absolutely would not… recommend moving to Las Cruces if you really need care. El Paso is trash, too.
Excellent care for our veterans.
Very poor telehone anawering system Too long a wait!!
This place is literally useless. The communication between them and El Paso is disconnected and annoying for patients who have to deal with it. I’ve had so many missed appointments wasted because they fail to inform you… it’s in El Paso, and the CBOC can’t even accommodate you, even though you’ve been waiting for months for the appointment to address medical concerns.
I've been going there for years. They're efficient, pleasant, and know their job.
All employees there lie. They hate firefighters and EMTs from California who are more successful then them. Their animosity dictates zero treatment for Veterans with cancer. Parking lots is full of cars of… staffers...yet zero patents after 1pm. Nurse said "it's a *hit hole here". Controlled by El Paso VA= one of the lowest ranking VA! Stay Away!!!
