How Much Does Treatment at Barod – Cardiff Cost?
Barod is a Welsh substance use charity, and its Cardiff harm-reduction and support services don’t map directly onto typical paid treatment categories such as residential rehab or outpatient counselling programmes. Market rates for outpatient treatment in the Cardiff area, for broader context, generally range from about £1,200 to £4,000 a month, though this reflects private provision rather than Barod’s charity-run services.
Because Barod’s exact fee structure isn’t published for this service, contact the Cardiff site directly to ask whether there’s any charge for specific services such as counselling or groupwork, and how to access the wider CAVDAS partnership if residential or detox care is needed.

Barod – Cardiff Reviews
People who have used Barod’s Cardiff service, a friend or family member who has supported someone through it, or a professional who works alongside the charity are welcome to share a review.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth looking at Barod’s charitable status and the wider CAVDAS partnership it operates within, alongside the qualifications of staff running specific clinics. A useful question to ask is what a typical drop-in visit to the Cardiff site involves.
Not very helpful. Their support for Family and Concerned Others program aren't very useful. Their answer is basically that they can't help those who don't want help, but they can't provide any answers on how to deal… with a family member who don't want that help. They referred to other services that leads to dead ends. What a huge disappointment.
Innovative, creative, compassionate, collaborative. This is where you need to be, if you know you know 🏴
Love you guys and I'll always high rate you but you are bloody hard to get hold of today. I need to speak to someone in the Barry one asap! lol wondering if this will get your attention hahaa!!
Well so far so good. Mallea been an amazing supporter. 🫶🏾
After 7 years of drinking straight vodka I’m currently at a point where I’m drinking a small bottle every other day but apparently that doesn’t qualify me as an alcoholic it’s taken me years to finally admit that I am… an alcoholic yet the person who’s there to help me told me I’m not he’s an ex meth addict maybe you should employ people who are actually qualified to make that statement because him saying that just reinforces the fact that it’s okay for me to be the way I am in terms of support this is embarrassing when you’re representing the Welsh healthcare system
Been waiting week's to be allocated a keyworker,after 24months
Very good charity offering a variety of services to support those wishing to change their lives and to help people on their recovery journey from alcohol dependence and/or drug abuse.
Good in start
Bloody brilliant, 18 months ago I got clean from street valium and alcohol dependency on the brink of death. I turned it all round and it all began here. I would not be here if you were not here ❤️
Very friendly
