Brynawel Rehab is regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales and run by a registered charity, with a clinical team that includes nursing, occupational therapy and psychiatric input alongside trained therapists. A useful question to ask is how the centre’s canine-assisted and experiential work fits alongside more conventional individual and group therapy.
This place saved my life. Big thanks to all the staff who gave me the tools to change. Amazing food, beautiful surroundings and therapy 👏🙏
My therapists were great. 5 individuals recovery team were great however management wasn’t . 1 individual was ok but I blame management for passing the book. I’ve come out of there worse than I went in. I left Monday… 11th of May 2026 . Since then I have called main office to speak with someone. Because I thought I was going to lapse. I’ve called almost 7 times and it goes to voicemail saying all our staff are busy with client . Rubbish . I am absolutely fuming . The recent reviews on here are nearly 3 to 8 years old. It’s a joke. I have lapsed I couldn’t get an answer Thursday Friday or Saturday. I’ve spoke to other clients who have left recently and all have said the same. Not beneficial and come out without enough after care . They knew I was extremely anxious when I was about to leave . My local community worker called me and I said you haven’t done what you promised. Same as Brynawel except for certain workers in there and therapists I had no sleep in there was taken to doctors 5 times and didn’t have blood tests results which they’d send to Brynawel mail I got a week later regarding appointments I’d made for physio in my local hospital. It’s not in. Sometimes your spoken to like a child. Unbelievable. One member of staff told me to use the pelican crossing my freind in there said she’s 54 not 4 years old. Unbelievable. I won’t let this drop I’m so disappointed leave it at that for now!
Whilst I am not experienced enough to write the Michelin Guide to rehabs, I am sure Brynawel would head the list… The staff - from management through therapists, recovery team, kitchen staff, and volunteers give their… all to ensure it is a positive experience that will ease you along the tough road to recovery towards a brighter future - unconditionally, and above all, non-judgementally. All they ask is that you work with them, not against them. The volunteers play a particularly important role since they have, in many cases, been former residents themselves and are in a unique position to be able to understand and resolve any issues arising between residents and staff, having been on both sides of the fence, so to speak… It’s not, and never will be, an easy ride - that would not be possible. But if you have the will, Brynhawel has the way.
I have learnt so much about myself and my place in my reality. The staff are excellent, alongside the most amazing therapists. Can't thank them enough. If you are determined to change your life for the better, then I… recomend Brynawel.
Treated like a child, get accused of using whilst in there, don't rate it at all.
Brynawel is the place to go if you want to change your life. You have to have the commitment to want to do it because the programme is brilliant, tough, challenging the best there is. Make no mistakes it will give you… the tools to change your life to be alive living substance free. Im living it !!!!!!!
