About LifeStance Health – Herriman

Brandywine Counseling operates from 24 Brookhill Drive in Newark. The site sits in New Castle County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Bear, Brookside and Glasgow. Delaware draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Brandywine Counseling

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

How Much Does Treatment at Brandywine Counseling Cost?

Treatment at Brandywine Counseling typically costs $1,200 to $4,500 a month for standard outpatient. These are Delaware market ranges rather than this facility’s own published figures. Published ranges move with length of stay, so treat them as a starting point for budgeting rather than a quote.

This site accepts cash or self-payment, private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and federal military insurance, with a sliding fee scale also available. Ask whether the quoted figure includes assessment, medication and aftercare, since those are often billed separately. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Brandywine Counseling Verified by the RehabSeekers Editorial Verification Team

Our team reviewed this entry before it went live. Delaware Division of Substance Use and Mental Health licensing records and the national treatment register were both consulted, alongside accreditation held with the Joint Commission. Those records are the source for what appears here, not material supplied by the provider.

Nothing on this page rests on what a provider says about itself. A license tells you what is permitted, not what a stay is actually like. Listings are reviewed as those records change, though details can move faster than any register updates.

Brandywine Counseling Reviews and Ratings

Reviews of outpatient care at Brandywine Counseling tend to turn on how quickly someone was seen and how the first week felt. Public records cannot answer any of it, so first-hand accounts carry the weight here. Star ratings say less than a short account of what actually happened and when.

Anyone who has been through it can help most by saying what came next. Whether family were involved, and at what stage, is worth mentioning too. Waiting times, staffing and how the first appointment was handled are the things future readers ask about.

Listen if you want it to work IT WORK but when you come in time and time E again with dirty pee and your not taking it seriously then how do you think your gonnna get treated. Then instead of wasting time on someone who just doesn’t want the help they turn there attention to the people that do want a better life. Like I said if you want to get clean they will help you with housing, jobs, etc but if you don’t then leave it at that don’t turn around and put a bad review or put down the people who tried to help you but you but you couldn’t even meet them 10% of the way GROW UP

Some of the nurses are alright , But as a whole this clinic is an abomination. During my time at this location I have witnessed so much abuse and neglect , we're constantly looked at and judged like we're not human ( even if you have years of clean Tox screens and are always respectful ) , they don't believe a word you say EVEN WHEN YOU SHOW PROOF, and don't get me started on the "security" .. Are you handicapped ? Well I hope not ! Every day the handicapped parking spaces are taken by those capable of walking an extra 20 feet , does the security or nurses ever do anything ? Say anything ? Even look at them differently ? NOPE ! Why would they do something that would inconvenience themselves, that would just be too much like right..... And GOD FORBID someone actually stand up and say something to the nurses , ive seen countless people get ' punished ' or ' penalized ' for actually standing up and speaking the truth , but at this point I couldn't care less, I'm tired of the judgement , the way im looked at , the way they treat us and the hypocrisy as a whole.

Brandywine Counciling put my life in danger ⚠️ I told Dr. Tania Wilson my methadone dose was too high. It was causing headaches, high heart rate, extreme anxiety I had been to the hospital 15 times in a 6 month period. NO ONE AT BRANDYWINE WILL HELP ME. GARNISHA will not return my calls. KRISTEN not return my calls and DAWN my councilor will not return my calls. Brandywine is trying to push me out and give me no other option than to take my 140 mg dose or leave THESE ARE MY ONLY OPTIONS. Do yourself a favor and do your research before you get on this medication and if you are on it, don’t stay on it too long. If I die, please let it be known. Brandywine Counciling DID NOT HELP ME and I BEGGED, and I have continued to beg for the past six months last week, they stopped, returning my calls, and nobody will answer the phone for me. Garnisha picked up the phone yesterday she said let me call you back in 20 minutes and I knew that was never going to happen! And it never did

Truthfully I have had Good and bad experience''s it's kind of hard for me to say because my counselors are Amazing absolutely Amazing, But I've had some really bad incidents with nursing staff and not one incident was actually my fault but the fault was still tried to be blamed on me but because they have such a Great Supervisor I think she is Garnisha she looked into those incidents right away for me because I had my counselors that had my back so I was never written up for anything I really appreciate the help I had in those situations getting to the truth .The front staff and security guards are Great they get alot of flack from clients but if you ever sit there for any amount of time you will come to realize there just doing there job and they really do try to do it as friendly as possible for all the grief they get that's definitely not there fault .Bree has caught on so quick and she's a real sweetheart and Miss Anna I Miss Very Much I really WISH SHE COULD COME BACK TO WORK BUT DO TO MEDICAL ISSUES I DON'T THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO I HOPE IF SHE EVER SEES THIS SHE KNOWS I MISS HER AND MY GRANDSON FINALLY CAME HOME AFTER ALMOST 2 AND A HALF YEARS IN THE HOSPITAL FROM THE DAY HE WAS BORN EXTREMELY PREMATURE,SHE WOULD ALWAYS ASK ABOUT HIM .I MISS YOU AND PETE HE WAS AN AMAZING COUNSELOR THAT HAD TO LEAVE I WISH I GOT TO SAY GOODBYE TO HIM BEFORE HE DID ...BUT MY LIFE HAS CHANGED IN SO MANY GREAT WAYS REACHING GOALS AND HAVING COUNSELORS THAT ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME AND I KNOW THEY DO BECAUSE 3 MOTHS LATER THEY ACTUALLY REMEMBERED A CO WORKER OF MINES NAME WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FINALLY SOMEONE THAT DOESNT JUST TALK TO ME BUT REALLY HEARS ME THAT IS A FIRST IN MY LIFETIME...AND THATS THE TRUTH ..!!!!

It's like an assembly line, they don't care about certain individuals. Unfortunately I have to ride in the medical van great service however at least once a week I have to walk home due to having to wait for counselors to arrive to correct some mistake in computer And have to be seen to get dosed. Medical van on a schedule and cannot wait. Staff does not care that you have no ride home. They have no empathy. They truly treat you like a junkie here. I have witnessed several times the staff making fun of clients. Very uncaring and unprofessional.

Called yesterday,(2/27) no one answered recording said leave a message but went into a loop, so it just replayed message. Called today, somebody actually answered, but did has already in a bad mood, (9:45 a.m.). I asked a question, then no reply, and then transferred me. Very unprofessional. Sad to think some people's lives may depend on this place.

Better make it on time and hope there isn't a 3 mile long train you have to wait for because you can call and they will say ok, but when you getter there they will say "sorry we can't accommodate you". They have no consideration for the ones that are doing good and actually working. They think everyone should be able to make it up there during the 6 hours there open. Even with a month of clean urines you will still continue to have to go every single day. There's minimal recognition for the ones that are doing the right thing. They consider everyone is continuing to get high and messing up.

While a lot of good came from my time here, you are not treated as an individual with your own needs and circumstances, and they are completely incapable of any error of any kind. Even after 12 years as a model client, all it took was one failure to communicate a new policy to me, and I was no longer welcome in their program. There was no working things out-even though I had followed the rules for 12 years without incident, none of it mattered. It was devastating to me, and no doubt had the potential to be catastrophic. Mine is only one example of the thousands that have passed through their doors.
