About LifeStance Health – Herriman

ChristianaCare operates from 4755 Ogletown Stanton Road in Newark. The site sits in New Castle County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Bear, Brookside and Elsmere. Delaware draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at ChristianaCare

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

How Much Does Treatment at ChristianaCare Cost?

Treatment at ChristianaCare typically costs $1,200 to $4,500 a month for standard outpatient. These are Delaware market ranges rather than this facility’s own published figures. Published ranges move with length of stay, so treat them as a starting point for budgeting rather than a quote.

This site accepts cash or self-payment, private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Ask whether the quoted figure includes assessment, medication and aftercare, since those are often billed separately. What you pay turns on cover and length of stay rather than the headline range.

ChristianaCare Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 4755 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713, in New Castle County. The catchment reaches Bear, Brookside and Elsmere. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

ChristianaCare Verified by the RehabSeekers Editorial Verification Team

This entry was checked by our Editorial Verification Team ahead of publication. Delaware Division of Substance Use and Mental Health licensing records and the national treatment register were both consulted. Registration and licensing are matters of public record, which is what makes them worth checking rather than taking on trust.

Public records are the source here, not marketing copy. What the register confirms is the level of care offered, not the experience of receiving it. Listings are reviewed as those records change, though details can move faster than any register updates.

ChristianaCare Reviews and Ratings

Reviews of outpatient care at ChristianaCare tend to turn on how quickly someone was seen and how the first week felt. Registration data leaves that gap open, and lived experience is what fills it. Star ratings say less than a short account of what actually happened and when.

If you have used this service, describing what followed the program helps more than a rating. Whether family were involved, and at what stage, is worth mentioning too. Waiting times, staffing and how the first appointment was handled are the things future readers ask about.

My daughter went in for what was supposed to be a routine physical and wellness visit, which should have been completely covered by our insurance. During the physical, the doctor noticed some slight discoloration on her skin. This was not something we had gone in for, and it was not presented as a significant problem. After we got home, we received a $20 copay bill for the visit, which immediately seemed incorrect since the visit was a wellness exam covered by our insurance. We then discovered that the office had billed our insurance company an additional $300 beyond the wellness visit, apparently related to the skin issue that was mentioned during the examination. I called the office and spoke with Sherry, who was very unhelpful. She told me that my wife had signed a contract allowing the office to bill for services outside of the wellness visit and essentially indicated that they could bill the insurance company for additional services. We will never go back to this office. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend paying close attention to your insurance claims and any copays you receive. In our experience, we ended up with a copay that we did not believe we should have been responsible for, based on what we understood to be a fully covered wellness visit.

I am extremely disappointed and concerned about the way my family and I were treated while waiting for my son during his surgery. We were instructed to wait in the hospital’s surgery waiting room. Approximately five hours passed without anyone providing us with an update or any information about my son’s condition. Because we had not heard anything, I called the hospital to ask about him. When I provided his name, I was told that there was no patient by that name in the hospital. I explained that my son was there for surgery and provided additional information regarding why he had been admitted. I was then told that someone would come upstairs to speak with us. Approximately five minutes later, a security officer arrived. She spoke with us but was unable to provide any information about my son or his condition. About five minutes after that, the same security officer returned with three additional security guards. Rather than providing us with an update or helping us locate someone who could give us information, we were told that we could no longer wait there and that we would be escorted out of the building. What is especially disturbing is that no one provided our family with any information confirming that my son was safe, that his surgery had been completed, or even where he was. We were left without answers after waiting for approximately five hours. I called the hospital again today in an attempt to obtain information about my son, and I still have not been able to get any clear information. I understand that hospitals have policies and procedures regarding patient privacy and security. However, the complete lack of communication and the way our family was handled during an extremely stressful and frightening situation were unacceptable. At the very least, someone should have been able to explain what was happening, direct us to the appropriate person, or provide information about how we could receive an update on our son. I am requesting that this situation be investigated and that someone from the hospital administration contact me to explain what happened and why my family was denied basic communication regarding my son’s status

Christiana Care I realize what took place was a tragedy BUT this new system was NOT well thought out. And the people you have as security guards certainly aren’t the brightest in the box. People who CLEARLY have handicaps or the elderly should be given the option to move to the front of the line. Today with my cam boot and crutches I stood in line until I got up to the guard and explained I couldn’t stand anymore in this line. With a straight face this young BOY asks “well why not?”…. are you kidding me and i pointed out my extra equipment and he says well I didn’t know. Another guard got a wheelchair however I was being made to continue in the line. A woman comes out and instructs people with badges of this week come to the other line so the new date could be WRITTEN on it…..wouldn’t that have been just as easy to do in the first place. This new system is VERY UNORGANIZED and will definitely piss more people off as it is a hassle to come into the hospital to see a sick person but have to wait in a line out the door

Love the hospital. They have great staff and helpful, caring, funny. I was there for a couple days and all were great, Nurse Josh in ER, Resident Edwards in ER. Nurses on 5B, Karen, Baleigh, Esmerald, Myrline all were so great. The docs that came in were terrific, explained everything clearly. The food staff sent up the best food ever. Cleaning staff also so friendly. I'm glad to have such a good hospital close by.

I just wanted to take a minute and shoutout two nurses that happen to be so amazing, a married couple Bradley and Lisa France, like the country, they knew exactly what I needed and asked all the questions I had. What a super team. Please kindly promote them to the top of the company.

Love this hospital but the Emergency Room always Suck! It's always slow andd unorganized! You have 65 pts in the ER but only 2 nurses once you get to the back to get fully checked in. I have chest pain and having a hard time breathing but somehow I'm still waiting at 2 hours and cant even get a oxygen mask or breathing treatment until I get to a bed.

Some horrible L&D nurses and the worst chief resident! Nasty people who judge and they’re not shy about it.

I feel the quality of this hospital has seriously declined over the last year. I have had some amazing doctors there, but many doctors seem to be leaving. No labor and delivery at Union. I had a fantastic surgeon - gone. I loved my PCP, for more than 20 years - gone. They will be working to replace her but how long will that take. The staff that are left are so overwhelmed; it is becoming a safety concern. Incredibly disappointed

Negative stars would be more appropriate. Christina Care you suck so bad! You are an embarrassment to health care. Too many things to even list regarding how bad you suck. I’d say stay far away from anything related to Christiana Care.

This hospital diagnosed my mother with stage 4 lung cancer, spread in different parts of her body and we were informed they sent her biopsy results out for further molecular testing and bookmarker testing that we were expecting to receive results this week. We were informed by university of Maryland hospital in Baltimore that Christiana never sent my mother's biopsy out for further testing. And now we were forced to continue to wait for results, going on over a month now.

While I understand times are tough, please train your staff to have a respectable bedside manner when dealing with patients. I’m frustrated and disgusted it with the attitudes and lack of patience I witness after being in your ER for 5 hours. Do better.

If you want care and compassion, this is not the facility for you. Doctor seemed caring and his assistant, Barbara, also seemed caring and competent. However, the staff at the office was horrible. My mother decided on surgery, but the scheduler was at lunch. Thought she would call in the afternoon or the next day. Silence. I finally called on Friday, explained that I would bring my mother, but couldn't drive at night. Christina gave a date that was completely open and said my mother could have a time that she needed. We tentatively set the time of arrival at 8:00 or 9:00. On Monday, I got a text stating that she was scheduled for an appointment two weeks later at 1:00. I called and asked for Christina, but she wasn't in. The person who answered the phone said that the second date was for a post-op visit. This date was not discussed by Christina or authorized by me....just made. The person continued by saying that my mother's surgery appointment was now at 11:30 and surgery scheduled for 1:00 pm. (Have you ever had surgery on time???) This means that I will probably have to go home in the dark or else leave without knowing how she is. Today I tried to explain this to Christina, saying I can't drive when it is dark and did she want to be a part of involuntary manslaughter? She hung up on me and never called back! I called the doctor's assistant, but she didn't want to get involved and referred me to another or the same Christina. This Christina said OR decides on times and there was nothing they could do. If my mother wouldn't come in at 6:00, someone else would and then my mother's time would be pushed back no matter what time we arranged. OR doesn't want gaps and there was nothing she could do. It is obvious that no concessions to either my safety or my mother's safety or the public's safety is important to Christiana. I either drive at night or wait for hours for surgery after prepping! No one apologized for the rudeness for hanging up on me (I was told Christina placed me on hold...really! She didn't say so and the click was clear.) It is obvious that the unconcern from the office, its staff and the hospital shows how it feels about its patients. My advice: Like my mother will have to, just live with the medical issue and avoid dealing with Christiana. Please note that the hospital's response is a standard canned response that is probably AI generated. Nothing indicates they care.

06/18/2026 took my father to the hospital to get seen for kidney stones. Ended up getting seen by a doctor and was told to stay overnight to pass them here. However once we were transferred to the waiting area to get a bed not one person checked up on him. For over 8 hours no one came to move him or give him an iv to help his stones pass. Nor did they give him any pain medicine. They did however come over to check his blood pressure which was 167/95 (stage 2 hypertension) the highest it’s been since he got here and they still did nothing! Rather than saying when we would get a room they told us if we were tired of waiting we could leave at any point. Even though the doctor was the one who told us to stay here to pass the kidney stones! Unbelievable I can’t believe the hospital has nurses that are rude and that there is no consideration for patients unless they are dying. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do better.

Hospitals and healthcare is out of hand. They no longer care about your wellbeing just your wallets. It seems to be a prerequisite in the healthcare industry that you must be very good at lying. With new things like MyChart you are able to read what they say about you and it’s appalling how they say they had certain conversations with you that actually never happened. They are very judgemental and do not have your best interests in mind.
