How Much Does Treatment at CSAPA HCL Croix-Rousse Cost?
CSAPA HCL Croix-Rousse provides outpatient addiction care, so the relevant regional guide figure is around €1,000–€3,500 (£900–£3,000) a month for outpatient treatment in the Lyon area — a market estimate rather than this centre’s own rate, as no facility-specific figure has been published.
As a public hospital-based centre, treatment here may be available through the French national health system at no direct cost to residents, with eligibility usually depending on residency and referral rather than being automatic for visitors from abroad. CSAPA HCL Croix-Rousse Reviews
If you’ve had contact with CSAPA HCL Croix-Rousse — as a patient, a family member supporting someone through treatment, or a referring professional — leaving a review helps other people understand what to expect.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth checking the centre’s public accreditation: it operates under the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes as part of the Hospices Civils de Lyon. A useful question to ask directly is what the initial medical and psychological evaluation involves and how ongoing care is arranged.
I been there !! I have a wonderfull experience with secretary and doctor. Both knows english and explain everything and show me the stand waiting. Thank you so much and Dr Máxime Bonjour very good profesional. He was in… box 6 !! Bonjour
Very good
For an MRI, I highly recommend the HCL (Hospices Civils de Lyon) and that's where I'll be going next time. The MRI department at Croix-Rousse Hospital (GIE IRM Lyon Nord, Building Y) is truly exceptional. Whether at the… Protestant Clinic in Caluire or at Croix-Rousse, the imaging technicians have always been very kind and understanding towards claustrophobic patients like myself. At HCL, the MRI room has soft pink lighting, a screen with cartoons, and a progress bar that you can monitor throughout the exam using the mirror above you. You can also listen to music of your choice, as is the case at the Protestant Clinic in Caluire. It's very comfortable this way and suitable for anxious people, compared to other MRI centers in Lyon that aren't as well-equipped. Thank you to the IRM Lyon Nord team!
Good service. Excellent care. 😊
Emergency room, very beautiful building, very welcoming staff
I thank Ms. BATAILLER, Surgeon, for her professionalism.
The staff on the phone are incredibly hostile and rude. It's impossible to get any information or advice on the necessary steps. You can't even ask questions because, apparently, everything is obvious to them, and well,… it must be obvious to us too… What a lack of courtesy, friendliness, and customer service!
I had an MRI scan scheduled at the Croix-Rousse Hospital. I was seen by a young man named Riyad, who was incredibly kind. During the preparation, I was about to go into the MRI machine when I suddenly had a panic attack… because I'm claustrophobic. Riyad was exceptionally kind. He reassured and comforted me, suggesting other options to help me through the MRI. I want to thank him warmly for his professionalism and kindness.
Disappointed by the emergency room at Croix-Rousse. The wait was already long. Then nothing was done—no MRI or CT scan to find out the cause of the pain. Just a blood test; that's all they know how to do. Then I was… discharged at an ungodly hour in the middle of the night. So this hospital is a disaster in terms of pain management and no examinations were performed. The external doctor was not pleasant at all. I do not recommend this place; zero stars. Absolutely no humanity.
Surgery on September 28th: excellent care in the reception area; the person who accompanied me to the operating room was reassuring and very attentive. The anesthesiologist and nurse were fantastic. The surgery went… well; I thank Professor Lustig, Dr. Gance, and all the staff who were present. Excellent care in the recovery room; the nurse anesthetist was wonderful and had a great sense of humor, which helped us relax. Thank you to the orthopedic department for their care, and to the physiotherapist for my first walk. Thank you all.
I would like to thank Professor Gil Dubernard's entire Gynecology team for my robotic surgery. The follow-up care was exceptional. A huge thank you to Professor Gil Dubernard for his extraordinary care following this… major surgery. Thank you to the entire Gynecology Emergency Department—resident physician, nurse, nursing assistant—all the staff took excellent care of me. I recommend this department at Croix Rousse Hospital 200%!
A mediocre nurse who sneered at my symptoms. Yeah, right, I only come to the ER when the pain is really bad. Not for minor injuries. Shameful! They told me to leave, they couldn't do anything for me, just a Doliprane… and go home. Shameful! My hip pain won't go away, they prescribed Valium, Accupan, and anti-inflammatories, but they do nothing. And you think a measly Doliprane is going to change anything?
For me, despite the urgency, the reception and the operation went very well, with attentive listening, professionalism, and empathy. Treatment is still ongoing.
A racist doctor asked me if I spoke French because of my skin color. He didn't even examine my wound, nor did he disinfect it, and refused to treat me in the emergency room. He told me to leave and referred me to a… private clinic. It's outrageous! This is France in 2026, in a PUBLIC hospital, and I'm being refused healthcare because of my skin color. I'm speechless at this reckless act and lack of professionalism. A doctor's duty is to treat EVERYONE. I am extremely disappointed in this hospital for allowing such doctors to practice their "profession," if I dare call it that, and I expect an apology.
It's impossible to contact them or reply to their emails to cancel an appointment received by email; unprofessional.
A huge thank you to the staff of the emergency, intensive care, and cardiology departments. I received very efficient and compassionate care. I am so glad to have such a wonderful hospital nearby. Thank you again.
Hello, Following my visit last night, I am still very upset to leave my very negative review of the Croix Rousse emergency room. I don't doubt the competence of the emergency physicians, but the student intern I saw… yesterday left much to be desired. How can someone be so jaded at such a young age? I left of my own accord after a 6.5-hour wait. Admittedly, my case wasn't life-threatening, but I experienced firsthand the fear of being in a hospital today, when we should be reassured and safe. While there was only one doctor for the entire emergency department, there were many nursing staff who were truly unfriendly and unreassuring, with no communication whatsoever. One intern examined me while I was seated and barely touched my abdomen. I saw people who clearly had serious medical problems... I didn't hear a single comforting word from them during my 6-hour wait. Since I left of my own accord at 6 a.m., I haven't stopped thinking about it. Many people say that hospital resources have deteriorated, and I certainly believe that, and we need to support our public institutions. But frankly, yesterday I saw many appalling nurses and hospital staff, and I don't think that was a problem of resources. I am so saddened by what I saw and heard. The emergency room team lacked the most important thing: humanity. Frankly, it's frightening... Marion
I went to the emergency room because of severe pain, and I was immediately seen and helped. The doctors took me seriously, gave me pain medication, and treated my kidney stone. I highly recommend them; they are a… fantastic, well-organized, and very kind team! Thank you so much!
I can't reach the sleep medicine department... I've been on hold for over 30 minutes, and I've made multiple calls during business hours to no avail. They don't offer an email address for communication, and the… receptionist doesn't answer. It's frankly worrying, especially since I'm going abroad for several months and can't get a simple medical certificate prescribing the need to use my CPAP equipment. I risk having a stroke if it's confiscated at customs. You urgently need to review your communication processes.
The young woman handling the administrative reception at the emergency room (the front desk where you present your health insurance card and supplemental insurance card) on August 24th around 1:00 AM was nonchalant and… unpleasant. This adds a negative burden to bear, one that could be avoided, especially when coming to the emergency room for a consultation. This behavior only adds to our health concerns. Is this a problem with this person's interpersonal skills, or does she need better training in reception?
I want to thank the emergency room doctor who answered my call this morning. I had been waiting for his call, but nothing since. I went to the emergency room, but it was impossible to see my brother. There was no one to… speak to, except at reception, who told us that I couldn't see my brother or the doctors. I was able to leave information about my brother, his appointments... In short, I tried calling the emergency room again, but no one answered. I'm going to bed worried and without knowing what's happening to my brother. Is he still at Croix-Rousse or somewhere else? What exactly is wrong with him? I don't blame anyone, but why is there no answer? No one is picking up the phone, even though it's a Sunday! I reiterate my gratitude to you all for your work and professionalism, and I eagerly await news of my brother. Thank you.
Hello, I arrived at the emergency room one evening, practically dead, and left feeling perfectly fine. The staff were very kind and took good care of me. Thank you. My two children were also born in this public hospital.
Shameful and inhumane emergency service. I arrived with a shard of glass on the sole of my foot that had been causing me pain for over 10 days. I was alone, in tears from the pain after walking and from feeling… helpless. Instead of helping or ordering an ultrasound, the receptionist told me, "You can still walk, it's not an emergency, come back when it's infected and you can't walk anymore." How am I supposed to come back if I can't walk? I even begged for a prescription for crutches to relieve the pain in my foot and allow me to get around: a complete refusal. They told me they could be bought at a pharmacy. I replied, "Yes, but without coverage," and they told me to see a general practitioner if I wanted coverage. Finally, I was shown the door with a simple "Please leave." Zero empathy, zero humanity, and a complete lack of assistance for a patient in distress.
Since they don't answer the phone, I went there for nothing. The addiction service isn't taking new patients except for alcohol, which isn't my case. I wasted my time. The secretary gave me a list of centers and left me… to figure it out myself. Ugh!
Excellent staff. I highly recommend them!
Hello First of all, thank you to the emergency medical services (SAMU) for directing me to the Croix-Rousse Hospital at my request. I arrived in the emergency room mid-morning in early August with mild chest pains… during exertion. Everything was quickly put in place for my care, diagnosis, and intervention. (ECG, blood tests, coronary CT scan, coronary angiography, stent placement) By late afternoon, everything was sorted. After an overnight stay for observation and having good discussions with the cardiologist, pharmacists, and nutritionist, I was able to go home the following morning with clear and reassuring explanations. At every level, the teams—from the emergency room to imaging and post-operative care—demonstrated kindness and professionalism. Thank you again to everyone.
Thank you to Dr. Poudret and all his emergency room teams for my care, their smiles, their kindness and their compassion.
