Embark Behavioral Health – Rockville Detox and Rehab Services
The register shows Embark Behavioral Health – Rockville providing partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Embark Behavioral Health – Rockville Address, Location and Contact Information
The facility address is 1445 Research Boulevard, Rockville, Maryland, 20850. Rockville sits in Montgomery County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Amazing service, Mahlet is the best.
Our family’s experience with Embark Rockville has been nothing short of life-changing. Our son came into the program at a really difficult point, and over the course of his time there, we’ve seen real, meaningful growth… — not just in his behavior, but in how he understands himself and navigates challenges. The team didn’t just “treat” him, they truly got to know him, met him where he was, and helped him build tools that he’s actually using in his day-to-day life. What stood out most to us was the level of care, consistency, and intentionality from everyone involved. Embark played such a pivotal role in his journey. They created an environment where he felt supported but also held accountable, which isn’t easy to do. They also worked closely with us as parents, helping us better understand how to support him in a way that’s constructive and consistent. This wasn’t just about getting through a program — it was about building a foundation for long-term growth. The impact on our family has been significant, and we’re incredibly grateful. I can honestly say that our son would not be where he is today without Embark.
Our family is incredibly grateful for the team at Embark in Rockville, MD. The care, dedication, and professionalism they showed throughout our daughter’s time in the program truly made a difference for our entire… family. I especially want to recognize Haley, Muge, Carter, and Caitlin. Each of them went above and beyond to support our daughter while also guiding us as parents through a very challenging phase of our lives. Their compassion, patience, and expertise created a safe space where our daughter could grow, reflect, and develop important life skills. During her time at Embark, our daughter learned practical tools and coping strategies that she will be able to carry with her for the rest of her life. Just as importantly, we as parents felt supported and understood every step of the way. We are forever grateful for the care, guidance, and commitment this team showed our family. Thank you for the meaningful impact you’ve had on our daughter’s journey.
boi i love embark so much. i went there for about 10 months (way longer than i needed to) but it was great and i miss everyone so much! staff are the coolest, they all know what their doing and try to help clients to… the best of their ability. staff always make therapy fun even when it can be a boring topic. i remember most of the clients i have met and i really loved them all. everybody has their own personality and their own experience to share, i think it is really special when everyone is engaged and having fun. I have made so many friends that i can stay in contact with after leaving, which is really cool. i think one of the hardest parts of being there so long and then leaving was to leave the memories and people that i have been with for so long. The space is really comfortable! the group room has beanbags and theres experiential tables where clients can do cool stuff and homework ugh. there are also a good amount of therapy rooms for individual sessions as well. hoorah. at the start for me, i hated being there everyday and i didnt like the staff very much, it was probably because it was a change from school.BUT when i did give them a chance and actually put in the effort to try to get better, it was amazing. learning all of the skills i can use when i need is really nice to have and has really helped me recently. they were so supportive of me toward the end and it was so sad, although i had to move on💔 i recommend this place 100000% because i truly had an outstanding experience with them and now i am in such a better place than 10 months ago😎 now this place may not be for everyone and it is good for people to be in the right space that makes themselves comfortable and gives the space to grow. may everyone who comes to this place for what they need, seek the help they need to thrive in life because everyone deserves to have the life they want. oh and i cant forget to tell you that vic fuentes is MINE. always. i dont have a nickname for that one guy but he knows who he is- he knows knows my king kachow miss everyone💕💕 yall keep shining and uh dont forget about pete the cats cool legacy and did i mention vic fuentes. yes.
My child attended IOP at the Embark in Rockville. I am very happy with our experience there. The approach this facility takes to help kids and their families is beneficial to both child and parents. The staff is kind,… caring and attentive. The therapist my child saw, Andrew, is very good at his job. My child felt comfortable with him and they made great progress together. He also conducted our family sessions which I found to be pleasant and productive, even when dealing with delicate issues. I would definitely recommend this place to those who are seeking mental health intervention for their child.
Embark was incredibly helpful and professional in our experiences working with them. Their team helped get our daughter where she needed to be. I highly recommend them if you have a need for their services . Anoa, our… daughter’s therapist was incredibly helpful, tactful, and persistent in helping our daughter get where she needed to be cannot say enough good things about our treatment and therapist at Embark.
Our daughter went through the IOP program at Embark Rockville. The team there is very caring and good with the kids. Her counselor Anoa was a huge help in our daughter’s wellness. I’d recommend this location to any… other families who have a child facing mental health and wellness issues.
Incredible, caring, well-informed staff. Smooth administrative process. I am eternally grateful we found Embark to support our kiddo and family.
My son was transferred to Embark Rockville following treatment at Embark's residential facility in Montana. Two days into the IOP, I realized the clinic was not a good fit for my son; however, we proceeded. The… following items are a brief summary of the issues: - the IOP psychiatrist wanted to change my son's medication regimen on day one prior to even meeting him. I asked about using our own psychiatrist and was told that was not an option. - My son and I were driving from over an hour away. Unfortunately, I suffered from food poisoning one morning. I emailed the office admin at 5:19 a.m. to advise that we would not be able to make the drive that day with me being sick. I was told I would be charged a late-cancellation fee of $125 due to not giving 24-hours’ notice. I'm not sure the staff understood how food poisoning works; it does not give 24-hours’ notice. - The therapist assigned to my son would not meet with his therapist from the residential program to gain insight into my son's progress and goals. My son was in the residential program for over 90 days. One would think working with a therapist who saw my son twice weekly in addition to group sessions would help with providing the best care possible. Instead, the IOP therapist pushed her own agenda. - My son went to Embark's residential program for extreme anxiety and depression. He was never seen for substances-abuse issues because he did not have them. The welcome packet from the IOP states, "some clients may require medication compliance or substance use testing. [...] testing [...] is dependent upon several factors: client's length of time in the program, history of medication compliance, history of substance abuse/misuse, and progress toward treatment goals." I was never told by staff that my son was tested. I was told via LabCorp when I received a bill for the testing. I decided to withdraw my son from the IOP after encountering these issues. The regional director reached out saying I would be receiving a call from Rockville's clinical director to discuss my decision. After a bit of phone tag, I emailed the clinical director to advise when I would be available to speak with her. As of May 24, 2024, I am still awaiting a call back from the clinical director. Interestingly enough to note: the negative reviews I read prior to my son attending the IOP have been removed. I do not expect my negative, yet honest, review to stand the test of time either.
Embark Behavioral Health was a supportive and transformative place for our family. Our child received attentive care and support while also learning valuable life coping skills. The staff are compassionate and worked… closely with us to ensure we had the skills to best support our child. We are grateful for our child’s progress and for the support tools we all gained as a family!
Compassionate and knowledgeable therapists in a caring and mindful program. I am grateful we sought help here.
Embark played a huge role in the improvement in our family's lives. Too few teens or adolescents get the help they need to navigate today's challenges. I would recommend Embark to anyone who has a child in crisis.
This place has been a godsend!! When individual therapy was getting us nowhere, Embark has opened up, supported, and equipped us with tools to move forward on our journey of healing. Thank you! I also want to give a… 1-year update...I still consider Embark to have been the best therapeutic choice we made. Things are so much better for us. We continue to use tools we learned there. Embark helped our family through some really dark times. Thank you.
I would give Embark 10 stars! The entire staff works together meaning they communicate with each other for the better of their clients. Dr. Gill, psychiatrist, was amazing at determining medications that were not… working (unprescribed them) and switching them out for ones that did help stabilize client. Alyssa, individual & family therapist, was also amazing. In my opinion, she is a strong therapist meaning she listens to what clients are trying to say, the activities helped with understanding each other, she made it feel safe to speak about tough topics. The best part is the phone coach where therapist is available before and after hours to help both family and or client with tough situations. It also helped that the team did not isolate the family members, they focused not just on the clients but also the family as a unit. Families are involved each step during the journey. I highly recommend Embark when more help is needed outside of regular therapy.
Warm, caring, and very, very knowledgeable therapeutic staff. Alyssa is especially brilliant at what she does, providing an exceptional level of insight and care to our teen and our family. We learned a lot and are… grateful for Embark’s responsiveness, and for our time there.
Embark is an amazing, comprehensive, and holistic place of care for adolescents. Our daughter benefitted greatly from her time there. We felt that our daughter was in good hands and being treated with the respect. The… family therapy was remarkable and effective.
My sons team at Embark was amazing. Although he needed a higher level of care while he was there the growth the he and or family achieved was phenomenal! We hate to leave them but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for your… adolescence mental health needs!
Having my son go through the Embark program has been a wonderful experience for us. Every staff member gave us %100 of their attention and energy, addressed our concerns immediately and provided high quality service for… us. We felt that our son was in good hands and being treated with the utmost respect. Alyssa was one of the best therapists we have ever worked with. The family therapy was remarkable and effective. Muge was the steadfast liaison between school and the program. They helped us make sense out of our emergency. I would highly recommend this facility for any teen with mental health issues.
Embark is an amazing, comprehensive and holistic place of care for adolescents. Our daughter benefitted greatly from her time there.
We have had the best experience at Embark in Rockville. The PHP and IOP are structured to support the patient AND the family. All of the staff have been attentive and responsive to our needs. Especially our therapist,… Atim, who is exceptional. Atim has helped my child to make tremendous progress in healing and in achieving personal goals. Atim is also an excellent family therapist and has helped us to understand each other better and to communicate more openly. The atmosphere at Embark Rockville is calm, cozy and welcoming. I would highly recommend Embark Rockville to families who looking for a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
We just met with the staff to get an introduction and walkthrough of the space and will be signing our daughter up for DBT therapy asap. They have been so kind and generous with answering our many questions, from the… very first time I called a few weeks ago through today. They were very thorough during the screening process to make sure she gets the right care before we begin. We have been searching for DBT therapy in the mid-northern Montgomery County area now for almost a year with no luck. Spots have been either filled or just too far away to make it work. We feel very lucky to have found Embark and that they had openings. Their space is modern and beautiful and my daughter felt right at ease being there. I have no doubt the investment in time and work during in her therapy here will provide lifelong returns for her future.
Our first impression of Embark is that it’s amazing! The modern decor and comfortable furniture suggests that you are attending a spa retreat! The Enrollment Director was extremely welcoming and very supportive. Parents… will feel at ease knowing that their child will be in good hands.
I had the pleasure of visiting Rockville’s open house last month. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming! They were all very knowledgeable about the services they provide. I’m not a therapist, just a member of… the community who knows families that could really use this service. The therapists clearly explained what type of therapy they provide, and I feel confident in recommending their program to any family in need! Thank you, Embark for being so warm and welcoming. Oh, and the space was absolutely beautiful as well!
Incredible space & staff! Thank you for your life-changing work each day. ~Mandy
