Their turnover is horrible I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy

This place saved my life. Was going to throw an crisis, and my therapist has been the most helpful. They also worked out a plan with me because my insurance became an headache. I can’t be more grateful for a family… services in Poughkeepsie.

The billing department here is a hot pile of garbage. If I didn’t like my counselor and psychiatrist so much, I would’ve left a long time ago. They don’t bill you for each session, I went months without receiving a bill… and then got blindsided with a letter saying I owed them over $2k. Luckily I had enough money in my HSA to pay it off, but now the billing department is saying they “need more information” to actually process the payment. I’m at a complete loss of what to do from here.

My experience has been excellent. They are good, kind people who work hard to serve their community. I don’t have any complaints or problems with anyone and those that have may want to look at themselves instead of… complaining. There are other places to go and I hope you find what you’re looking for.

My counselor went on maternity leave and now my cast got closed out this is not far at all I don't understand why nobody called me or sent me a letter this is crazy now I need my meds and can't get them

I was very impressed with my therapist, Bruce, he was caring and understanding, always available, the psychologist Dr Sign or whatever his name was disrespectful, but all the other where top of line professional

Broke Dr.-Patient confidentiality, DO NOT GO HERE! Just money makers, they do NOT have your best interest in mind.

Finding mental health providers that you "click" with is always a dicey proposition. But these folks are kind and dedicated. My only complaint would be the short amount of time and resources they have to share with each… client. Trouble lurks under cracks in the sidewalks so to speak. But we are far better off with these folks here, than not having them here. Thank you HVMH.

I recently started therapy here and its great. Front desk people are friendly, therapist is great and no problems with medications or appointments.

Once you get into their system, they're okay. But the intake process is a cluster****. They changed systems after I hadn't even been there 2 months and made me sit and wait, cancelling my main appointments as they re… entered all of my information. If you can go months without seeing someone this place would be fine, but if you need a regular schedule, good luck.

Singlehandely the WORST place to go in the Mid Hudson Valley. I was with Ulster County Mental Health before Hudson Valley MH (Mike Hein's Baby) came about. At first they were alright, but then they cut staff, they watch… the clock, overcharge insurance and your copay goes up once they find out you don't pay on the sliding scale and you have insurance. The therapists are ineffective, there are no group activities for people, it's in and out. They keep prescribers for medication for about 5 minutes so none of them get to know their patients. They're terrified of low dose meds and point blank tell you they won't lose their license to give you what you need. The desk is so understaffed and the receptionists so underqualified I was on hold for over 45 min a few times. I ended up looking up each of the board members and writing emails to them complaining. Even after that, the phone just gave me the "passoff" and every single extension I tried to get so I could get service put me back to the operator and that mailbox just rang and rang. I put it on speaker and when they answered 20 min later I let them have. Don't bother going to these people. You'll never get better. They're a complete waste of time. It's very sad that mental health services have been pushed down the toilet like this. This is the Kingston Clinic.
