They dump their "treated" patients in downtown Atlanta without meds, id, phone , food money . Our daughter slept on the streets for 3 nights and couldn't even get a bed because she didn t have her id, and meds. I am… sure there are a lot more patients just dumped somewhere, left to rot on the streets. Shame on you!! This is about Brandy Kirkland, "treated" in July in Montezuma Ga.

My loved one spent a few days there recently and was treated properly and professionally. There was also a very good line of regular communication. Sadly she was incarcerated at Summit Ridge with the opposite experience

Great hospital but misdiagnosed a patient that was there for detox but has psychiatric issues and could have received proper care. Sent home with no medication no follow up. But staff is nice and doctors are well… trained.

I've never seen such an incompetant hospital in my entire life. Telling a patient "you need to be put on a do not accept list" to discharging patients to the street, to being readmitting elsewhere because of being… discharged to the street. This hospital needs an entire medical lawsuit in order to change at this point. The people that work here, do basically nothing but complain and do nothing. They think they can work anywhere and be paid more, making them entitled towards being treated fairly. Honestly, its a medical lawsuit waiting to happen.

The experience I had there was acceptable. The hospital was clean and the staff was friendly. I received appropriate care. I was discharged as soon as my medication‘s and sleep was established. Need more technology in… their medical system

I was sent here after having a panic attack and saying I had a bunch of plans to end my life. From the moment they were even involved they were unprofessional. They did not want to transport me there until after 8-9 PM… so I did not receive NEEDED medication that day for SEIZURES, MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER, andddddd PTSD. Not only this, but after arriving close to midnight I was put in a cockroach infested room and led past patients sleeping in the hallway on mattresses on the floor with full lights blaring. The staff made absolutely no effort to be nice, to be courteous, to care what I wanted. For example my second day I was told to get out of bed so the nurse could make the bed and then I could lay on top of the bed with no blanket. I questioned her why she needed me to even get up, and she said fine then you can make the bed when you get out of it. One of the security guards actually goes into the women’s tv room and just falls asleep regularly. This entire facility is ridden with roaches. The staff do not care. And I’m honestly questioning if the medication changes made were not to keep me there. They changed every medication I was on. Even ones I had been on for a decade. And put me on a dose of seroquil that actually could have killed me, because it was so high meant as a dose for a SCHIZOPHRENIC patient. The providers are only seen on a tv screen for maybe 5 mins every morning to “evaluate” you? Everything you do, everywhere you go, everything you eat, every time you shower, is documented and effects your release date. It’s all about your attitude in here. Fake it until you make it out ALIVE.

I read this is zero out of 10 please do not recommend bringing your kids over here because there’s people that who molest you in mind draw out at the boys side of the room. There was no female side open.

You call this a place to heal and get better!!! I was so disappointed in the staff in how they didn’t believe that there was no bugs in my room and how they thought I was hallucinating but no the hell I wasn’t. The… staff was rude to me and they had issues of the usage of when people use the phone whether if you’re a first timer or not. Also, it’s about the food for breakfast they have with grits, eggs and a meat. The cafeteria had ants in it where I was sitting. Despite these issues with the facility much of the staff was friendly. I wish there were more activities like word searches and games but going to the nurse station you gotta ask for what you want.

The psychiatrist is a great guy. The beds are comfortable. They do not keep you long 3 to 5 days max. The food is absolutely great please do not change the way the food is prepared. The food is absolutely great. They… also allow people that want to smoke smoke. If you do not have cigarettes they buy cigarettes to give out. They also will get you ice water anytime that you want it. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are absolutely great.

Since the last time I was at this hospital they have improved in many ways. 1. They are doing construction to fixed up the place 2. They are having groups with fun activities 3. The staff are more interactive 4. The… staff is really polite

One of the patients was aggressive and cussed the other patients and wanted to fight. The staff refused to do anything about it. Their answer was just look over it she doesn't mean anything by it.

I was transferred here from Northside Hospital on the December 21st. The staff here work very hard especially dealing with three different parts (to my knowledge) and all are VERY different from one another. I think a… person experience is based off of which side your placed in (I was on the psychosis side and the other two are Homicidal and Suicidal sides). The doctors were very understanding, patient , and maybe a little on nerved, but they were still compassionate. I met a lot of down to earth people being here and got to know a lot of people who’ve been through similar experiences and talking about our lives outside of the place. I think when you come here remember that everyone is human regardless of status and to be honest with yourself to get the help you need. Thank you Flint River for being the place for my help ♥️

I recommend this place. Just be vocal about your needs and take the opportunity for help serious.

This place was absolutely horrible. I was there for 6 days diagnosed with major depressive disorder. The staff was very unprofessional and not well educated on how to deal with their patients' diagnoses. Patients were… not treated with respect, and staff had no consideration for their needs nor feelings based on each inviduals unique set of circumstances. Staff argued back and forth with patients who were obviously in a state of psychosis, at times using profanity. The entire time I was there, we did not have deodorant . There was nothing to do there to keep people busy. No cards, board games,etc.... I was bluntly told that I am an alcoholic which is hilarious because I absolutely am not. The " On Screen Doc" made that assumption. The bottom line is that this place is a joke. I would not send my worst enemy there. The place needs to be shut down.

Was there in September of last year and hated it like hell, the doctor was on a screen and instead of increasing one of my meds gradually he upped it instantly and took me off the other meds and put me on another and… they also didn't give me my Blood pressure meds for 2 days until I saw their NP. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. They make up rules to suit the shift staffs needs and I wasn't allowed to call anyone for the first 48 hours I was there.

I had the pleasure of staying here recently and I must say this place isn’t bad at all… they put me on new meds that helped me tremendously and I made lots of new friends….Everyone was very nice and sweet and the place… was clean

This place is a joke...there are no groups.. and there rules and everything kept changing... The staff seemed very confused and like they didn't know what was going on.. no help whatsoever... I was also misdiagnosed… with a disorder that only 0.3% of the population has.. what a joke!

This was one of the worst experiences of my life .We had a family member sent here .We could never get anywhere with the staff on the phone .They barley answered and when they did they gave us no updates other then… "she's about the same". She ended up falling which is something that happens and is sometimes out of our control I understand that .But two days after she falls she's good to come back home ?Coming home she had no idea who any of us were and she was fully aware when she left .she's also a type two diabetic but came home with half a ton of honeybuns. She was also not clean when she got home. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

This place is great. They let you smoke cigarettes. They have group therapy. And an awesome crowd that keeps it running. Alex was such a blessing. Keeping smiles on our faces and Ashley was fantastic with group therapy.

Got there watch ed a lady that worked there put her hands on a mental patient that was not part of the security... When I arrived there I had two $100 bills in my wallet I was forced to sign and forced to leave with the… driver rushed out the door to where I didn't get the check on my stuff and then when I found that my money was missing they refuse to return it said so well sorry you sign saying you had everything... So my stay there was pointless considering not only did I lose $200 of mine however I can't even afford the prescriptions that they prescribed me

My son was a patient he was given the same medication that was not working for him. It took for me to tell four different people before it was changed. Then only on new med for 2 days then discharged knowing he was not… stable. So far all the metal facilities he has been too are a joke. No good help for the mentally ill in GA so sad.
