The Insight program is a lifesaver for our family. We found support, empathy, help and everything our son needed to heal. The staff works together with each family for support, counseling, advice and whatever is needed… to help in the recovery process. We wouldn’t be on the road to better days without this program. The kids and parents in the program truly care about each other. It is a supportive community for all involved.

The Insight Program has been the most effective program, safe haven, and support group for our son after an unexpected downward spiral. The family focus and peer run recovery meetings helped our son to know he was not… alone and had a family in the community to walk alongside him. Steve, the Insight director, is one of kind. It would be impossible to mimic his genuiness, expertise, and care for the families of Insight.

Insight is not just a IOP program, it is an incredible, loving, real, and supportive culture of teens and young adults , their families, and staff that have experienced the impact of drugs, alcohol, and mental health.… We were in a state of tiredness and felt out of options and then we talked to Steve at Insight who explained that my son needed to experience joy, fun, support and just be a teen, who is now sober. We moved from MT to NC because this program was said to be one of the best. It is. Our son has traveled to other Insight groups, attended weekend events, found a core group of friends that have become our family. The IOP program is incredible, the culture of friendship and honesty and finding value in themselves is one I cannot explain to the fullest but is simply beautiful. The employee's Matt, Sierra, Steve and Heather are supportive beyond expectation and truly relate to our son and help me as a mom understand what recovery is. On Christmas Eve our son was struggling and Matt and Sierra took every call, every text, and supported our son directly which resulted in an incredible transformation that we see today. I can’t say enough great things about Insight. If you feel no one understands and you’re just spinning but desperately want to help your loved one believe me I was there and this is your place!

Truly blessed this program was recommended to us. If you have a teen or young adult who is struggling with loving themselves, connecting to others, finding meaning in life ... and they are using some type of substance… to fill the void ... you won't find a better place. This program focuses on healing the child and the family unit. We are stronger, closer, wiser and more equipped to manage all the ups and downs of life thanks to Insight.

I love this place so much. I’ve been here since 2023 and I’ve done outpatient and it was amazing program. I love all the counselors and I recommend it for your child as it was recommended for me when I first started… getting sober. 😊😊❤️

The Insight Program has worked for us. We came to Insight after a very long and windy road fighting multiple additions with our son. Our journey had included a wilderness program, residential treatment, a recovery high… school, and a local adult PHP and IOP. There were glimmers of success at each step along the road but nothing kept him stable for any length of time. After an unsuccessful attempt at college, we knew we had to find something else. We began this part of the journey at Full Circle-Charlotte and after 8 weeks, the counselor called and referred us to The Insight Program for more intensive help. Our son knew about Insight through a friend who had found success on their journey and he was willing to try. He completed IOP in July 2024 and is still actively participating in the program 20 months later. He is sober 20 months and addiction free for 10 months. What made the difference? The sober community made the difference. The Insight Program offers the kids 24 months of support after the IOP including individual counseling sessions, nightly meetings, weekend sober events, and peer support. Our son struggled off and on in the program but the kids were there to keep him on track and the counselors offered guidance and support when he needed it most. As parents, we were welcomed into the parent support groupwith open arms. We were able to find our own community of parents, both experienced and new to the journey, who actually related to our story and who offered so much support, understanding, and guidance. "It takes a village to raise a child". It takes an even stronger, more specialized, more supportive village to raise a struggling child. We found our village at The Insight Program. And I am so grateful that we did.

Faced with a serious challenge with our teen son, we didn't know where to turn. We trusted the knowledgeable and compassionate staff at The Insight Program. Their proven expertise in the area of teens and young adults… who misuse drugs and/or alcohol and who also struggle to maintain mental health balance is UNMATCHED. Participating in the program has transformed our family for the better and our son for the best! Check it out...you will not be disappointed.

It has been an honor and privilege to support young people in recovery with the staff from The Insight Program. As the Principal of Charlotte's Recovery HS it is a heck of a challenge to model enthusiastic sobriety well… but they do a great job at that and in supporting the entire family. The success stories that I have witnessed from people who completed their program is incredible and some of my absolute heroes. If your child is struggling with substance use do not hesitate to check them out. You guys are the best!

PLEASE don’t waste your time going anywhere else I promise you, “INSIGHT” is life changing. There is no where in NC that does what Insight does! (I searched for months). The way they reach these kids hearts & work with… every aspect of building their emotional health while working with the substance abuse. The parents meet once a week & I have never felt so supported in my whole life! One year ago when we walked in those doors, I was so broken not knowing how to help her. I had just gotten my daughter out of the hospital the night before from Alcohol, drugs & cutting. Everything was of control. i was scared, alone & so desperate for help. We found Hope again & a support group like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Morgan- best Counselor ever/ Steve, Matt & Hailey (Best sponsor ever) they all had a huge part in saving my daughter's life! She is Sober 1 year now🙏❤️ thank you insight I am forever grateful!

Insight has been such a big part of my life for the past 2 years. The people here are truly themselves, so genuine, and so uplifting. Insight has given me so many opportunities that I couldn’t even imagine were possible… for me. I can’t even begin to express my love and gratitude for Insight and their staff If you are a parent reading this with a troubled teen who needs help and extra love, this place is definitely worth a shot. :)

Insight is an amazing place where a strong foundation can be made. Insight has lots of love and compassion for everyone, trustworthy people, and great practices. It is a safe space for young people to grow and deal with… their challenges as they need, at their pace. Not only are they helping people stay sober, but also making the mind a happy place again.

I had been to countless therapists, treatment centers, and other various support groups before my parents brought me to Insight back in 2019 and I am forever grateful for their decision to do so. At the time, I had very… little interest in getting sober as I found it hard to believe that there was anything that would make me feel better than getting drunk/high. My first few experiences at the Insight program soon proved me wrong. To be surrounded by a group of peers my age who not only were staying sober but were excited about it and having fun doing it, was a first for me. The other kids in the program had lives that were attractive to me as a result of them working the steps and carrying principles. I was a drunkard high school dropout whose parents couldn't trust me as far as they could throw me and through the guidance of my peers in the program I became a full-fledged member of society who had not only gone back to school but was gainfully employed, had a host of friends, a relationship with my parents, and the tools to handle all of the ups and downs of life. Today I have close to 5 years sober and am an active member of AA and I do not think I could have done it without getting a foundation for recovery from my experiences in the Insight program.
