Kingwood VA Clinic – Humble

Walked in to an empty waiting room at 8:25 am . Told I will have to wait till 11:15 am before a simple blood drawl. No one is in the waiting room.

Thank God for this place I been going to Micheal De Bakey since 1997 it still out control to park is insane. My blood pressure is always out control. This was hidden jewel. Staff is amazing you can get in and out. No… high blood pressure

Over the past 30 years of being a VA patient, I have had the opportunity to see many different facilities and staff members, and I can say with confidence that the Team at the Kingwood VA Center stands out. They are… consistently patient, thoughtful, and compassionate in the way they approach care. Even in situations where they are clearly understaffed and most likely overworked, they never let that become an excuse for providing anything less than their best effort. It is important to note that this is not their fault—it’s a challenge of resources, not dedication. What impresses me most is their genuine commitment to making every patient feel heard and cared for. It’s easy to forget that the staff are working with individuals who, by definition, are often not feeling their best—yet they continue to show kindness, patience, and empathy day in and day out. I’ve seen them go the extra mile, whether that’s taking a little more time to explain something, listening carefully to concerns, or finding a way to make the experience a little easier on the patient. In my experience, the Kingwood VA Team embodies what veterans hope for in their healthcare providers: professionalism, respect, and compassion. They make the effort to do right by their patients, and that effort truly shows.

Good luck having them answer the phone. Always usually put on hold 30 minutes or more. They are really busy?

Everyone seems to be really nice and helpful here ..

All my appointments get canceled at this location. Every time I contact this clinic I am given excuses as to why I cannot be seen. Always rudely told they are not accepting any appointments. Apparently this is an issue… among many. I live close to this facility yet have to drive out to conroe or downtown Houston because of the lack of service provided here. This place should hire more staff, relocate or shut down completely. The funds wasted here could be sent to another more deserving facility that actually helps veterans more efficiently.

The Humble Outpatient Clinic is a blessing. Dr.Decatur is very skilled, dedicated and knowledgeable and truly cares for his patients. When life happens & my pcp doesn’t have availability I see PA Miller in the sick call… clinic, he is personable, friendly and I appreciate the exceptional care he provides me and the other vets. The nurses are always helpful and polite & the front desk clerks are knowledgeable in assisting me with any questions/concerns I may have. I got more information from her in 15 minutes than I did when I spoke to the VA downtown for an hour and she was incredibly nice too which is something I didn’t receive in Houston. I am thankful for everyone who serves me at this clinic & will continue my care with these folks for as long as I am able.

We recently relocated to Humble, TX, i called to ask what steps i needed to take in order to get my VA Card renewed and get everything setup here in Texas.Kendra was very very helpful in answering my questions and… pointing me in the right direction. Thank you

I moved up North in Houston because my house was burned in SW Houston... set up appointment online and was called next day only to be told I am unwelcome at their clinic because they arent accepting new patients at this… location. Lady sounded bored and half asleep like she hates her job. Not my fault I had to relocate! They need people on their phones with people skills and at least pretend they can be helpful. she didnt even say "I'm sorry but we are accepting any new patients at our location." But instead she somewhat rudely denied my request for my annual check up. whelp, happy birth month to me!

when I call or check in with Kendra at the front desk, I’m greeted with an unenthusiastic employee. She speaks to you like you are the inconvenience in her life. I don’t know if the pleasant receptionist works at this… location anymore. She was great and helpful. The medical staff is great. I actually receive help from the Lab, Nurses, PA, Docs, etc.

20 Years in the VA system and this is the best clinic that I have been associated with. As a patient they have shown respect and have always provided me with A+ service.

I live 5 minutes away and can't be seen. Becoming a patient isn't even an option.

Don't even waste your time calling if you're not an established patient. They said it will be years before they take new patients. What a joke! They shouldn't even be on Google.

Most unhelpful and unfriendly for newly separated vets. Couldn’t be bothered to give the time of day. Thank you for your service.

Office staff are very organized and always professional. Appreciate their office staff and the work they perform for me

I would like to first start by saying I drive 40 miles to see Mr. Miller. He is the one I can always count on. The staff and Mr. Miller has taking care of me since I arrived to Texas in June of 2021. I have the Conroe… clinic I could go to but the care does not compare. Mr. Miller and his crew goes the extra mile to insure my needs are met. I wish I could let the United States VA Department know. The Humble VA Outpatient Clinic is the standard all clinic's showed be measured by. So again thank you for being there. Some people walk a mile for a camel, I drive 40 for a great VA Clinic.

Still waiting over 3 months just to see a primary care doctor. Still waiting to see a gynecologist for my women's health. Still waiting another 6 months for dental. Waiting months just to get basic quality service… because I'm disabled. Community Care isn't offered to me unsure why not. I should have stayed at Katy Clinic and just drove very far, but at least Katy doesn't set my appointments months out like Humble clinic.

Happy to have a facility much closer to home and with parking. The staff is friendly and very responsive. I hope they continue to grow and offer more services and support in the humble area.

Get your check in and wait times under control and it'll be 5 star. The staff is great and very helpful. The place is small but it's clean and functional.

Clean, easy parking, I have been twice and the wait wasn't too bad at all. Dr. Decatur and Nurses are nice. Phlebotomist did a good job. Overall pleased to having close to me.

I am beyond thrilled to have a VA Clinic in my back yard.
