If you're serious about your recovery, there are much better places than this place!

The fact that I just got hung up on by Cassandra Peasley a casac who is in charge of managing newly sober women because she could not answer questions or give me my records without asking her boss Kelly Fahrenkopf, she… is incompetent of doing her job and because I wanted my records because I needed them in a timely manner and couldn't wait until next week she hung up on me. She should not be giving advice to newly sober women if she couldn't answer a simple question about how to give me my records. Mind you I call back I got a hold of another worker there all I had to do was sign a new release and I got my my records emailed over to me within 15 minutes. Shout out to Oriana Fillmore for helping me get what I need without any attitude. If you ever go to Acca Women and Children's Program in Albany New York do not have Cassandra as your casac all she does is talk about herself her own life and other things that I will not disclose because that is mean. Thanks for the TED Talk.

Queenbury mens facility is the worst place ever for someone in recovery..they do nothing for the clients..they have absolutely nothing for them to do other than sit around and look at each other for days on end sparking… gossip and turning on each other out of boredom. No structure they can't leave the property and now they have taken away transportation to AA meetings even. So unprofessional..they have females doing overnights in an all male facility. They fill the beds just to fill the beds and collect the money. They wonder why they can't keep staff. The staff know it's a set up for chaos and dont stick around. The staff they do have are basically babysitters. Nothing positive takes place there, most people are mandated and are there to avoid jail.

Queensbury location is phenomenally outrageous very prejudice very discriminative. One thing goes for one person and not the other. Being pushed with multiple referrals due to their inconsistencies and trying to cover… it up. A lot of the clients don't want to leave their rooms because of the morale & negativity. ALOT of Favoritism. If I could give zero Stars I would. A lot of brainwashing making the clients think they can't do things for themselves they have to wait until they're into reintegration. Medical Care is limited unless it's really necessary and then it depends on who you are. I could go on with a list of things but I'm trying to be fair. I wonder if you pull up the history on this place or if anyone came forward the truth would come out....Eventually it will!!!!!

(Queensbury Men’s Residential location) First off, people are given false information about this program to get people in the doors. I started out enjoying this program, but quickly realized that nothing of any real… substance was to gain. Groups were constantly cancelled, and in the two and a half months I was there I can think of only 4 groups that had any impact on me. Every other group consisted of handouts and read alongs. One of the Case Managers, Susan Dornan, was one of the absolute worst excuses for a human being I had ever had the misfortune of being in contact with. She made each and every person in the program feel unappreciated, stupid, was very rude and condescending, and had zero passion or care for any of the people there. It’s dangerous to have a person like that working in a place like that, where people need care and compassion, which she had none of. Complaints were made by many people on several different occasions over the months, and nothing was ever done. Staff would actually laugh it off and say “thats just how she is!” Rules were always changing. What was okay one day, wasn’t the next, and there was no justification behind the changes. They would change things just because, and it caused a lot of frustration and resentment. If they were to get some staff in there that knew how to run a group, then maybe there would be some substance to the place. It got so bad that I started getting depressed by being there. Until they get some decent people, don’t go there.

The most unprofessional, and unhelpful rehab facility I have been to, out of sparc, st marys, mcpike, new hope manor , acca albany, acca in Queensbury was a very terrible experience, corrupt, no structure, no groups… (they claim I was missing groups yet the groups were always canceled, and ,if there was one it would be a free YouTube movie. Where is all the government money going??? Because it's NOT going to the "program" quality . Bullying, harassment and threats were used against me, staff took my mail, took away my rights and my lawyer got me out after 3 horrible weeks of hell there.
