Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services – Syracuse Detox and Rehab Services
Recorded services at Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services – Syracuse are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services – Syracuse Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are where patients and families describe Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the Syracuse facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
Terrible intake process and an incredibly broken, dangerous system.I have been trying to get outpatient care here for over a month. After finally completing the initial intake, I was shocked to find out that I have to… see a counselor multiple additional times just to get on the schedule for a psychiatric evaluation. The amount of obstacles and bureaucratic steps they involve is completely unacceptable. When people are in dire need to see a psychiatrist, this clinic forces you to jump through a million hoops before that can even happen. By the time they actually schedule you, who knows what will happen? I am feeling like a ticking time bomb right now, and their complete failure of urgency is impeccable. They completely minimize your mental health needs and leave you hanging when you need help the most. If you need timely, urgent psychiatric care, look somewhere else.
This place was amazing! I came in and the receptionist was so kind and supportive. The nurse listened to everything I said intently. The nurse practitioner was phenomenal! She listened very well and assisted with… everything I needed. This is the best care I have received in a long time.
Very kind people focused on helping. Everyone there have been a great help to me.
To few staff actually care about patients. Some nurses car, councilors are definitely more caring as a whole than nurses. Look for another place unless you are homeless and have no other options.
Nice people but why on God's green earth is there no air conditioning in the building?! Sont they realize heat makes people more agitated?
I was Feeling down and I decided to come here I Forgot the name of the lady that was helping me but she was the sweetest , she listened and gave me advice If you’re going through anything please come here Im getting set… up with a therapist Monday and I couldn’t Be more happy .
Terrible place. Unfortunately this is the only place that will manage my medications, however instead of just giving me the medications my doctor recommend, they add all kinds of unnecessary medications. They have no… communication with your primary healthcare provider. They refuse to refill medications without an appointment.
All I can say is I'm glad I'm in Madison County. New York State Is not good for treating those that need services, especially mental health services. I get the bare minimum where I am. You have to go to treatment,… meaning a therapist and NP/Psychiatrist to get your Medicine. I guess this is the protocol for most places. I've gone to this place before when it was on James Street. I didn't like it. St. Joseph's outpatient facility was the best. I got my medicine there with no qualms!! They need to do better but, it won't happen.
The absolute worst! I am fed up! Have been dealing with them since September, seen a counselor 3 times. Appointments get cancelled with no notice, they say it was never in the books, no one ever returns a phone call and… when I do get someone on the phone I am told someone will call me back, but they never do. It’s very sad because every other place in the area has a long wait list, so Helio claims to be able to get you in asap, only to be given the run around after the initial consultation. This poorly run office actually causes more damage and makes whatever you are dealing with 10 times harder.
Been going for a while good people and a great experience
I went to helio health after I saw a you tube video about ADHD. I was blown away!!! They were describing me, to a tee!! I was laughing the whole time because I did everything they were saying someone with ADHD does. So… I mention this to doc, she smiled and laughed, hahah ya ok, your not getting adderall, here's lithium, try this.
This place is a joke
October 2025 Update: I left. If my rating was 0/10 before, it's only gone to the negatives since then. I still would NOT recommend this place for therapy. 12/16/2024 UPDATE: Helio Health gave my full name, my phone… number and my address to a local taxi company WITHOUT MY CONSENT and won't let me file any kind of formal complaint. I was told, "there isn’t technically a complaint you can file – we have feedback survey QR codes in our waiting room you can scan and do – but theres not an official complaint form you can submit. It was a mistake by one of our staff members and we can’t do much more than correct it and not make the same mistake again" I have never requested a taxi, I have my own car and drive just fine. I'm here for ANXIETY! THIS DIDNT HELP! but yeah, "where hope meets healing" 12/09/24 UPDATE: What's crazy is somehow the receptionists, MED SUITE and appointment schedulers have found a way to be MORE ignorant! (except Judy, we love her) But now we get to throw in the ladies that sit up by the door where we have to get scanned with a metal detector before entering. My current therapist and med prescriber are saving my life but that has nothing to do with Helio, Jen and Courtney deserve all the credit there. I'm genuinely wholeheartedly not sure how there are five star reviews here. I do work hard here, despite what the positive reviews suggest. I'm incredibly kind person who's incredibly dedicated to healing. This place sucks, they need to do better. 11-16-23 UPDATE: No improvement, it was lovely of your office to expand a receptionist area just so that there are *that* many more ignorant and unhelpful faces to be met with to start. It is wholeheartedly baffling how nasty the HELP staff are to you before you can even get a word out. Don't work there if you hate it so much but don't take it out on the people who NEED the services provided by this office otherwise. I sincerely wish each of you actually showed your name badges so you could be reported right up the chain. Still 0/10 recommend. I've wasted 5 years giving this place a chance, and what a waste of time it has been! I've had 9 different therapists and 2 different psychiatrists due to their high turnover rate in employees, their other staff are 9/10 times WILDLY ignorant and truly will not lift a finger to help you any further than they're required, if that. I've had 3 employees here treat me the way I would want them to, compared to the 50, 60, 70 different folks I've come in contact with in my time here. Honestly, the only reason I haven't left is because Syracuse doesn't seem to have much else available for successfully helping treat mental illness. Simply put, I don't recommend care here.
This facility is severely lacking as a mental health resource. The environment, particularly the waiting room, felt unsafe, and the front desk staff were consistently rude, condescending, and hostile. As a vulnerable… population seeking help, these conditions are unacceptable and deeply concerning.
Very Very condescending and I am trying to find another place to go, refuses to let the one that cares for me at home to attend in the program, this is totally not right and goes against the principal rules because he… called them out on their mistake on a positive test when I wasn't, trying to get into my mother's psych Dr, as far as the crisis center I can't speak of but I might find out today because I don't have any want to eat and I have been having hallucinations
In early June, I had an initial meeting and examination with a psychotherapist (Open Access meeting). I was in very poor condition and cried for almost the entire hour of the appointment. It was extremely difficult for… me to acknowledge that something was wrong and begin seeking help. I found Helio Health and truly hoped they would be my salvation. After the session, I was told that I needed to see the nurse, and that I would then receive a call to schedule my next appointment with a doctor. Just a few days after my first appointment, I met with a nurse and began waiting for the follow-up. However, they forgot about me and only remembered at the end of August, when I had to email them myself to ask where my follow-up call was and what I should do next. Unfortunately, my condition worsened. I had placed great hope in the clinic, but they failed to provide the help I needed. I am simply grateful that nothing irreversible happened to me.
This facility is a glaring example of how our mental health system is failing. It’s not care, it’s a business, and a shameful one at that. If you have the means, seek treatment outside Central New York where… rehabilitation is taken seriously. Nothing about this place reflects good healthcare, only profit. And for those who work here and still feel proud of what they do, it’s time to take a long, honest look in the mirror.
I went here for a mental health evaluation and explained my symptoms to the two men in the room. (Which I much later learned was OCD). They told me that I was homicidal and a danger to both myself and others, and that I… show signs of borderline personality disorder. And that I am unhealthily obsessed with others. (They told me that me worrying about other people's safety means that I'm untrusting of them.) Every time I tried to clarify I was ignored. Every time I was asked a question and was truthful, they said I was practically lying. I've never been more offended from anything in my entire life than from this place, and I now have a massive distrust in the mental health system.
I walked into Helio health back in April 2025, was told to come back 5 times to complete the process and was told someone would be calling me within two weeks to assign me a therapist. 3 and a half months later and with… multiple providers calling on my behalf, I finally got an appointment, that they’ve now cancelled and rescheduled 4 times. I truly hope the wait is worth it. For the people who don’t have the strength or will to wait, this place is a death sentence. I can only assume they’ll cancel the next appointment too. I’m not impressed and sure I will end up having to go to the hospital. They call weekly to pretend they care and to let you know they still don’t have you scheduled. Smh Update: I got in with a male social worker when I asked for a female doctor. He has more anxiety than anyone I know and has a desk full of fidget toys. His office has a safe space and rainbow. 45 minutes sessions every other week and the first 7 times you’re there, it’s all intake information. Wouldn’t it be more beneficial and save time, if you have your patients do an intake packet before their first appointment? I need someone who will actually will help me. This place is for methadone, not for people who suffer from mental health issues. Now I have to wait longer to get a new provider or go to a new practice . SUPER COOL!
I love this place they help me out a lot
They could Definitely do a Better job selecting a Front Desk. Very Rude and Impatient. And Aggressive.
So. I was assigned a Tcw. Worker. She was great at first but then said she was going to get me. Case management. Referral for long term cas casem anagementt. I haven't had a appt. Or any calls from her. Or any referrals… for case management. It's like drop. And. Forget it. Jaclyn Kennedy. I'm. Very. Upset with this. And. Obviously she isn't as. Dedicated to. Getting back to her. Clients to helping in matters. If she doesn't. Call u. Or etc for 2 mos. Not a call. Email. Text. Nada. Could I plz get a newtcm. Soo.. my counselor Carolyn Diehl is the most phenomenal woman I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'd like to say a few things about this lady. She completely changed my life even though she'll never say it had… anything to do with her thats its all you. You put in the work ... yea yea yea but she really has. I've had the pleasure of working with her for a little over a year. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, courageous counselor in my entire life. She has saved my life more times than I can count by her group sessions where i've met some amazing people and built some great connections with over the last year. Her 1:1 sessions and yes her emails as well. She always checks in with you even though that may just be her job she never forgets and is always there anytime you need her. I've been through a lot this year losing a lot...and gaining even more. And I can say from the bottom of my heart I couldn't have gotten where I am today without her. She deserves the world on silver platter for the work she does day to day. And P.S to the agencies management she definitely deserves a raise for the work she puts in. She gave me my life back. Yes I know..everyone will say she's just a counselor. But, to me she's so much more. Thank you for being so involved with the work you do and caring as much as you do. I don't think I could ever repay you for being such a wonderful human being. There's not many people out there anymore that do the work because they actually care and I can say from my own personal experience she does. With her whole heart. To anyone that gets a chance to work with her stick with her she'll push you to be the greatest versions of yourselves. In the end I promise you'll thank her. You are one remarkable human being and I just want people to know you the way I know you. Thank you for everything you've done for me. Im so glad I walked in and decided to put the work in to change my life. To everyone who was ever involved in my care over at Helio I thank you all so much. You guys do such a great job. Even if I am just one person. Know that you saved my life. So, again thank you. #HelioStrong 👍💯😁🩷🧡💛💚💙💜
