The management of NJCRI are NOT working in the best interest of its clients. They allow turmoil and toxicity on the second floor and don’t care about the young adults, but care about the politics of business. Don’t… recommend if you want stability.
The best clinic out here I swear love this place everyone deserves a raise 😭🥰
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH big Ron & Shonda! Especially Shonda!! You sent me to ELEV8 on 12/22/25 & I am proudly 180 days Clean and Sober!! Oh yeah, their hep-C program too TY!!
Excellent staff and service. A wonderful team.
Trans healthcare is high quality here.
They need to invest more in sanitary hygiene practices for these folks even though they’re less fortunate doesn’t mean they have to get no cleaning
IF I COULD GIVE 100 stars I would!! Nurse Sheena and Kevin are absolutely incredible!!! What a team Dr. Slim has. From the very first call, Nurse Sheena felt like a blessing from above. Her compassion, urgency, and… genuine care is unmatched. Kevin was just as amazing—attentive, kind, and truly dedicated. They took my cousin in immediately for blood work and exams—while everywhere else had weeks or months of waiting. They even helped secure a specialist appointment for the very next day. Like Amazing 🙌🏼 From the front desk to the third-floor reception, every single person was warm, welcoming, and caring. Even the cleaning staff checked in on us. I seriously felt like we were paying extra for some kind of VIP service… but we didn’t at ALL. Most importantly, my cousin walked in feeling scared and left feeling hopeful and inspired to get better and that means everything. Nurse Sheena and Kevin—HUGE kudos to you both. Your compassion and dedication truly make a difference. We need more people like you in healthcare—honestly, the entire industry could learn from you.
I am blown away by the dedication and compassion of the team at NJCRI! 🤲🏾 Every single staff member I’ve interacted with has shown incredible professionalism, kindness, and care towards patients. It’s clear that this… organization is built on a foundation of love and respect. I’m grateful to be part of such an amazing community thank you NJCRI for always making a difference! from the support I’ve received to the opportunities for growth NJCRI truly invest in its people I’ve seen firsthand. The impact they’ve made in our community and it’s truly inspiring. Keep shining NJCRI. ❤️✨🙏🏾
I gave this one-star review because I was set up for a appointment and I come here for my appointment a little early only to be told that the team is on the field nobody is upstairs but nobody called me nobody emailed… me nothing! That is so wrong especially coming from a place that supposed to help you
I called a few weeks ago and was transferred to a case manager to ask about HIV care, she was very rude when giving me instructions and kept talking over me. I asked if I can get an appointment since I’ve been out of… care but she refused even after I told her that my doctor passed away and the office was now closed. She was rude and unprofessional. I asked if there was another case manager that i can speak to since she was rude, and she said no she is the only one and is the case manager supervisor. I asked to speak with the manager and she also declined…. I just decided that if I have to deal with her, I rather get care somewhere else. DO NOT GET CARE HERE! I will be reporting her.
A few days ago, this supervisor at the clinic door (third floor) was super rude to me. I asked if they could do a pregnancy test, and she just snapped at me like, “No, we only see people with HIV.” She didn’t even let… me finish talking, didn’t look me in the eye, and just walked away. I was honestly shocked. I only tried to speak Spanish ’cause she looked Latina, but she just said, “I don’t speak Spanish,” and that was it. She told me she’s a supervisor, but honestly, she doesn’t act like one, her attitude was very unprofessional.
I tried to make an appointment, but it's too difficult, no recommendation.
Great place they help people with homelessness housing and can point you in the right direction if you are facing any type of hardship
I have mixed feelings on NJCRI. I went here on and off for about 3 years, and there are truly some wonderful people who work here. But the big problem is that employees are just casual and disaffected towards the… seriousness of the issues that bring people here. There is a lot of chaos. The psych department is a mix as well. There is a heavy focus on addiction, but not a lot of organization. Employees here are again, very desensitized. I had a professional here tell me someone ODd right in his office, and he was laughing about it. I know Newark has a huge problem with addiction, but professionals need to do better and keep it professional. There is a lot of unprofessionalism in Newark with public health agencies, and a lot of people fall through the cracks. Some of these people really need to do their jobs better.
I did a walkin close to end of office hours at 2:30pm. I received amazing reception and instructed to self check in. It was an understandable wait for a quick visit. Ms. Holley, my phlebotomist was gentle and willing to… prepare me for the amount of blood drawn and it was painless! She also gave me the full band aid treatment!) LabCorp, thanks for assisting our doctors and your visitors endeavours.)
I used this practice as a Primary care for a while and now waiting (36 min so far) for my scheduled appointment. I got a call asking why I kept not showing up to my appointments despite them changing my doctor and… canceling the appointments. The entire practice is a joke from previous experience having issues with their misdiagnosis, billing, and disorganization.
Excellent service provided. They make you feel safe and welcome from the moment you walk in the door.
Terrible service staff members skip your name in the shower list🚿, Somebody new comes they let them shower first 🚿 and they do their laundry first 🧺, You a old client they ban you, they don't let you shower 🚿 and they… don't do your laundry 🧺, You just waste your time over there, They tell you to go to another homeless agency for help
