Very hard to get around and find a place to park because of all the construction. Too bad the brand-new addition is tied up in bankruptcy

Given the hospital’s 2.5-star rating, I was initially hesitant about First Responders bringing my adult non-verbal autistic son to the Oroville ER after he suffered a grand mal seizure and dislocated his shoulder at… home. During my visit, a staff member explained that many of the negative reviews stem from patients within the local homeless population who present with untreated addictions and neglected health issues, often seeking care they are unable to obtain elsewhere. Many lack a primary care physician or do not follow up with one, leading them to rely on the ER for ongoing needs, and to leave negative reviews when those needs aren’t fully met. This context helped ease some of my initial apprehension. Nonetheless, given my son’s inability to communicate for himself, I proceeded to ask staff about their formal education and professional experience in order to feel confident he was receiving competent, capable care. I am pleased to report that the experience ultimately eased my concerns. The ER physician and staff were responsive, accommodating, and patient with my questions, particularly given my son’s needs as a non-verbal autistic adult. Dr. Naser appeared knowledgeable and competent, and I was satisfied with the overall quality of care my son received.

I was at work when I think I was bitten by a spider or something. But my leg was swelled up, and I waited about 2 days, which probably wasn't a good idea. When I decided while on shift to go to the hospital. Now I work… in Oroville California and there's really only one hospital there. It doesn't have the greatest reviews, but I bit the bullet and I went there. To my surprise, the whole staff was really good. The doctors are really good. The technicians are really good. The staff who did the registration are really good. I think people get turned off on the emergency rooms condition. It's in dire need of a janitorial service, that's for sure. However, I am very happy about my care that I got there. They all seemed very concerned and they did all the tests that they thought I might need. And I was very satisfied. I was in and out, didn't take too long and I'm happy for the service that I received. This place does not deserve the one star review that they have.

This hospital is very unprofessional. From the rude receptionist, to the filthy dirty facilities. I try to avoid my local hospital when possible.

It's not as bad as all the reviews. My grandmother was here once in 2020 and my father was admitted and in patient just last week. I found the nurses to be very kind and let us bring food. It was a long drive so it… helped with my trip. I had surgery at this hospital once even myself. The fact it's still there amid all the economic stuff in the local news about it- I was very impressed. Thank you for taking care of my dad!

My actual name is Jordan Giannetto, I came in to be seen about severe pain somewhere in my middle lower back. If I could give a zero I would but I'll settle for 1. This is my first experience personally so seeing all… these 1 stars doesn't surprise me. The front staff where absolutely atrocious human beings with the brain capacity of a salt slugg. This hospital needs to be investigated! They need to be shut down because of the negligence. I'm still in severe pain and they had me waiting for 4hrs to tell me no info or if they were anywhere to seeing me. I was told where waiting on a bed, where waiting on a bed. The doctors to the janitor is on a snails pace. The triage nurse and all the staff in the waiting room where shooting the breeze about there body counts and who there dating and stuff you normally wouldn't hear. Pls if you value your life don't go here. There's more but I'm suffering right now!

Incredibly horrible unprofessional staff and service I waited 8 hours for chest pain just to have to leave because I was so exhausted and not going to wait any longer. The staff sat behind the desk bad mouthing and… gossiping about patients.

f I could give a zero I would. I came from Oregon and had to re-establish a primary. I have a few disabling conditions,(Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, ,postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, complex… post-traumatic stress disorder, underlying seizure disorder. I was admitted to the hospital here in Oroville where a team of doctors, social workers, physical therapist and specialty nurses all agreed I need additional assistance through IHSS(in home supportive services). He told me he did not believe me and I am lying about my health conditions and refuses to request my medical records from the team in Oregon showing what I've been diagnosed with. I have seen him twice and my first encounter with him was maybe 5 min before he was yelling and screaming at me and getting up out of his chair at me like he was going to harm me. my next visit was a few days after the hospital as scheduled and he would not speak to me about anything. we sat in silence while read a paper and then dismissed me after I asked him to fill out the IHSS paperwork, and asked him about my labs and what results were. He would not speak to me and had me do more labs that were unnecessary, because they were done at the hospital a few days earlier. I have family that has had horrible experiences with him as well including refusal of medication for diabetes and liver disease, refusal of referals as well for necessary care. Horrible care and hopefully I can find a new primary.

Worst hospital I've ever been to. You'll be there for 10+ hours guaranteed, you'll get ignored and not given your medicine. Sure, the people are friendly (for the most part) but that doesn't make up for the… mistreatment. I also requested a different doctor and they refused.

I had major surgery on March 10, Hysterectomy (2nd.floor 217B)..In dire pain this nurse (?) Simran was such a Horrible, Dispicable, non-caring person..She refused getting me some fruit etc stating they didn't have any… (?) Very extreme Cold human..I could not wait to leave come that 3rd.day in the morning..i was in constant pain and crying and she would walk in to say very sarcastic "Miss Michele do you know you have high Blood Pressure?" "Miss Michele have you had a BM?" tapping her fingers at the end of the bed and walk away swinging her hair..I asked her to place the BP towards my wrist rather than the upper arm since that hurts..She got soo pissed off and walked out of the room.... I will be soo surprised if there were no others complaining..She obviously hates her job!!!!!

The one star is because we had a few kind nurses, and my son received a popsicle, and the nurses gave his stuffies a ride on the hospitalbed on our way to check out. Really, I'd rather give a "quarter of a star",… though, because the rest was so bad. We had to drive an hour for a tonsillectomy appointment for my son, that was made in December. We had been told he'd be able to take an oral medication to help him calm down before, he'd get a toy, and that they were experienced with kids on the spectrum. We had to be there by 5:30am... so we left at 4:30. Then had to wait 2 HOURS to finally go back to start getting ready for surgery, and by then he was an anxious wreck. Once we got to the area they would start getting him ready for surgery, it was apparent no one there knew ANYTHING about pediatrics, especially those with sensory and anxiety issues. Also turns out the anesthesiologist ONLY does IV, no oral medication prior to relax. They denied it to our surgeon, who seemed just as disappointed and surprised. There were employees at the desk giving each other back rubs, everyone seemed clueless and inexperienced. We were begging for help and losing patience by the time we got back there, and most of them looked like deer in headlights (except Leo, who was so kind and helpful... he was a lifesaver in that moment. He and our surgeon seemed to be the only people who really had experience with what was going on). In the end, the surgeon and I opted to not do the surgery at this hospital. Also, it's disgusting! The floors are filthy, there was a pubic hair on the hospital bed, dust everywhere, dirty walls, cobwebs, dirty door curtains, chipping paint around windows and on walls. My son found an old mouse trap covered in dust and massive spiderwebs in the lobby as we left... Gross! While I am EXTREMELY frustrated with our wasted morning, I'm incredibly thankful it caused our surgery to be cancelled. I think I would have worried about sanitation and safety they entire time. They had his gender wrong when we got there, and SEVERAL times while we were waiting today they asked if he takes any medications... all stuff they should have on file by now. Never, NEVER, again will we come back to Oroville hospital. If your doctor ever refers your child, or anyone, to this hospital, I recommend immediately requesting they send a referral to somewhere in Sacramento or Roseville instead.

I've been going to Oroville hospital for better than 15 years now. Back then the pre op people were a lot better then the hospital people. Now, I'll go to Chico before I go through the pre op in Oroville. The Orvoville… hospital is great now. The pre op people are unprofessional, rude and very slow.

If I could rate 0 stars I would the nurses are mean and have no compassion , if you are tired and over worked take time off . No reason to have attitude and be judgy I really hope if you have been treated terribly like… my friend was you report the people who don't deserve to work there . I can only imagine how mean they're behind closed doors . Please hire people who actually want to help people and care . Please avoid this hospital. And if you do RECORD on your phone for YOUR own healthcare and safety Just incase .

I've been in quite a few hospitals all across the United States, but Oroville hospital is the worst! They treat you with attitude and force and don't give you the information about what's going on. In the ER the nurse… accused me of over dosing and I'm not a drug user. Turn out I had a clot close to my heart. It's up for sale for a reason
