Pathways Community Mental Health – Escanaba

Went here to get help but they have not help with the things I need to work on and they are more than annoy me about asking me about my relationship status that’s none of their business

My daughter goes to pathways. She was seeing a provider and due to some mixups they discharge her from not being able to make it to two telephone appointments. She started seeing a new provider. I got her back in there… Amanda Brown. She finally goes in there to see her for the first time by herself, she said 15 year-old kid and she’s got problems. Abandonment issues with her dad isn’t around and this supposed Psychologist, Amanda Brown within 10 minutes my daughter called me and said that her our session was done that they build her insurance for by the way because my daughter said she didn’t know what she wanted to talk about. She didn’t like all teenagers wanna talk at first why didn’t this woman try to help my daughter? I love how someone people try to be these labels like psychologist or physician just for the bragging rights obviously instead of wanting to really help and get to the root of the problems, Amanda Brown I just can’t believe how you don’t give a crap about my daughter enough to sit there and get rid of her in 10 minutes for an hour an appointment and then you tell her that her other Psychologist that she really really had a bond with Kirsten was fired, which is really messed up to. I’ve been boiling pissed about this and woke up and had to write this. I cannot believe how unethical and wrong this is you basically abandoned my daughter just like her father did 10 years ago thanks a lot pathways or Amanda Brown rather having a Psychologist that don’t give a shit about anybody especially a 15 year-old with a lot of problems. There was two things she was gonna work on with her which I listened to and talked about last appointment and she didn’t care to do nothing with her thanks a lot. I’m sure my daughter feels really good after being thrown out by her now not worth talking to her that’s what a Psychologist is supposed to do pull the stuff out of the child. What is wrong with you?

No help.these people are useless and refused to help my 14 year old grandson. They should be investigated.

They do the best they can with the limited help the state provides.

A few years back before my first attempt, I tried getting help here multiple times because my doctor kept referring me back to them. After being denied twice and going through hours and hours of interviews, I wasn't… going through that process again, and I asked for a 'rejection letter' to give my doctor so he would stop trying to get me back into them. I felt I was wasting my time and mentally getting worse. They were only giving me verbal denial over the phone so I had no proof I was even going to them to give my doctor. The lady running the desk resorted to screaming at me for asking nicely for a simple rejection letter because I didn't want to go through the interview process again just to be rejected a third time. A nice man (i presume a real counselor or mental health professional) had to step in because she was being so horribly disgusting to me. I was not in a right place at the time and it was the last thing I needed. My mental health problems are from severe child abuse and trauma so her screaming at me didn't feel great! Couple years later, they are no different. Good luck meeting their criteria. If you need mental help, go to Marquette, or ANYWHERE BUT HERE! They are so horribly disgusting to mentally ill people.

Absolute joke. Someone I know tried to seek mental health through these hack jobs and was turned down because she didnt fit their criteria. Dont even bother calling because you're going to waste a half hour of your life… interviewing on the phone then coming in for another 2 hour session just to be told you aren't worthy of their assistance. No wonder there is such a drug/suicide problem around here. You try to get help and the people who are supposed to help refuse.

Great place to get help with a lot of different things.. Wonderful staff members as they are very professional caring and understanding...

Been a patient for 2 years, no progress yet or any progress in sight

Just want to say I called to express my concern for a loved one and suicidal and was hung up on! Thanks for your help
