About Salvation Army Addiction Trt Servs – Honolulu
Salvation Army Addiction Trt Servs operates from 3624 Waokanaka Street in Honolulu. The site sits in Honolulu County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include East Honolulu, Maunawili and Waimanalo. Hawaii draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Salvation Army Addiction Trt Servs
Withdrawal management covers alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine is available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together.

Salvation Army Addiction Trt Servs Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 3624 Waokanaka Street, Honolulu, HI 96817, in Honolulu County. The catchment reaches East Honolulu, Maunawili and Waimanalo. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

I had a genuinely great experience during my stay at detox. I went in expecting to be miserable and counting the minutes until I could leave, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. I met some really solid people… who were going through the same thing, and having that support made the whole process not just manageable, but surprisingly enjoyable. The staff was friendly, supportive, and went out of their way to help me with applications and next steps for treatment. It honestly felt like a much‑needed break from real life—a chance to step back, reset, and really look at my goals and where I want my life to go. By the end, I actually didn’t want to leave, which still makes me laugh. I’m hoping this is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience, but if I ever do need help again, I know exactly where to go. Thank you to the entire ATS Detox team for being such an important part of the beginning of my sober journey. One day at a time, and I’m grateful you were there at the start.
Proud graduate and going strong.. the absolute blessed place to get a new start...
Dirty, bed bugs.
I called for 5 days straight and would not be admitted because of fentanyl use. I was never even given a call back and the screening lasted but 1 minute until I said the word fentanyl. I quite doing the fentanyl ans… have still been discriminated against for a detox that is a lofe or death situation for me yet is a burden to them as I’ve been hung up on twice and I’m getting a lawyer for false advertisement. On their webpage, it says the only eligibility is to be 18 years old and a substance abuse problem. Period my experience so far has shown me that that is a very untrue statement and false advertisement. I would have given them a zero if I could have. There is absolutely no compassion for the addict and there is no one there that is not just there for a pay check which is really sad being they are the only detox on the island.
Detox is a place to find out what you really want to do in life. It's certainly a great start. I'm glad they have a place like this. At the same note don't waste the chance you've been given. I didn't.

I had a terrible experience here. I volunteered to come to this program after experiencing difficulties trying to quit by myself. Ended up being a horrible experience. I would not recommend this treatment program. The… workers here don’t care about the clients as the majority are people coming out of prison who don’t want to be there.
This is a disgusting “treatment” center that capitalizes off addicts that are stuck in Hawaii’s jail system and trying to get help. The curriculum itself is identical to the programs they have in jail that doesn’t focus… on rehabilitation or learning to transition back into society. The “counselors” do the bare minimum to keep their funding alive and try their best to keep the people in this program stuck inside their system. If you have the choice I would strongly recommend getting help elsewhere. There are a lot of other programs on the island that actually have counselors that care and are empathetic and trying to help you transition safely to society.
I find it funny listening to people giving this place ad reviews because the staff isn't nice to them. You apparently know nothing of addiction or recovery. You baby an addict, you bury an addict....period.
Do they Dispense Suboxon
I would like to express my absolute disgust with the staff at this facility. I was trying to get information for my nephew to call and receive treatment. The first person I spoke with was Ericka. While trying to explain… my nephew's needs, she cut me off and said that she was with a client and have my nephew Ryan call. Okay I have Ryan call and he speaks with Steve. I'm on the phone with Steve first trying to explain why we're calling. Steve to me doesn't sound very pleasant. Ryan answers some of his questions and then hangs up. I ask, what happened? Ryan says Steve asked him for his medical information that he currently doesn't have. Okay so I call back. I get Ericka again and again I try to explain what's happening. She is very clear that she doesn't want to speak with me but with Ryan she would like to screen Ryan. I say to her he already did that with Steve. She says no he didn't Steve is right here with me. Steve replies that he tried to ask Ryan questions but felt that Ryan wasn't compliant. (Ryan needs help he probably didn't want to talk to someone). Then Rene gets on the phone tells me she heard the whole conversation. She goes on to say that maybe I'm the problem and that they would like to speak with Ryan. Okay I ask who will be doing the screening? To which she replies is none of my business. Nice.
