Treatment Services at Serenity for Life
Residential care is the only level of care offered, and the length of each stay is set by clinical progress. Daily programming combines individual counseling, group therapy and, where it suits the client, family therapy. Therapists draw on CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and EMDR, together with brainspotting, somatic experiencing, psychodrama and nature-based gestalt work.
A psychiatrist and a psychiatric nurse practitioner manage medications, and nurses monitor physical health throughout the stay. A registered dietitian guides nutrition, while integrative wellness sessions add yoga, meditation and breathwork. Residents are supported in attending AA and NA meetings and in building practical life skills such as cooking and money management.
