Syracuse VA – Binghamton Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Syracuse VA – Binghamton are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Syracuse VA – Binghamton Address, Location and Contact Information

Records give the address as 203 Court Street, Binghamton, New York, 13901. Binghamton sits in Broome County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Worst VA around I have been there watched one of the people at the front desk playing solitaire on the computer I was standing in front of the five workers and on my phone with them and still waited of someone to… acknowledge me and 10 minutes later one of the ladies very nasty said can I help you like I was disturbing her I informed her that I had been on hold on the phone for over 30 minutes and still on hold her response was not her problem and what could she do for me.nasty rude workers that need to be replaced with people who value their jobs and respect our Veterans. For if it weren't for them they wouldn't have a job.

I used to think the VA I was at before was terrible but after going to this facility, I realize how lucky and fortunate I was at the prior VA. Terrible tableside manner there are days where they get off of work before… it's even two or 3 o'clock during the middle of the week. You have to be on top of them to get anything done like you're their supervisor.

Even if you're 100% service-connected permanent & permanent/total, I do not recommend this clinic. If you are a women & are assigned Dr. Webster, I absolutely recommend changing doctors immediately. He doesn't… understand really anything about psychiatry beyond "just think positive thoughts". I don't know why a doctor would be clueless as to why anxiety is increased when you're told you have ONE TO TWO YEARS LEFT ON THIS EARTH. This VA clinic won't even give me a psychiatrist, even though I have seven ratings, one is 100% SC P&T for PTSD. But they wonder why the number is 22 per day. The ONLY reason I have late-stage cancer is this exact clinic's refusal to listen to me about my symptoms for years. Told me I didn't need a Pap smear for five years. I came with late stage cancer. After begging for a hysterectomy & even a simple Pap smear, now they have to pay $22k every 45 days for me to stay alive. I believe this is why the VA won't give me a psychiatrist; they're hoping I'm one of the 22 so they don't have to pay to keep me alive when they could have just spent $5k on a LEEP procedure when they found precancer cells. They could have just paid $10k one time for a hysterectomy. THIS VA WANTS PATIENTS TO DIE. Now, I'm being punished & lied about for switching doctors. I tried to switch doctors years ago but this doctor told me it wasn't possible. I found out, years later that it actually is possible. Then I read his notes & he has made such a false statements, I'm left with no choice but to take action via an advocate. I'm filing a complaint about this doctor with every agency I need to in New York State. I'm looking into legal options on how to get this lie removed from my medical records. I also have a line in with my state senator & have been asked to explain everything to them in detail, which I will absolutely be doing. This "psychiatrist" has accused me of being a drug-seeker for trying to get help with autism & ADHD. Autism doesn't even involve medication. He also said I'm not autistic because I "have empathy & can make eye contact." This means he is totally uneducated about autism. Autistic people have empathy & the eye contact I do make is FORCED & UNCOMFORTABLE but if I don't make eye contact, I'm labeled "rude" or a "liar" so I HAVE NO CHOICE. He doesn't even KNOW women are misdiagnosed & struggle getting a diagnosis until they're adults. His PTSD "treatment" is literally "just try to think positive thoughts". He was absolutely baffled as to why I had increased anxiety after being diagnosed with STAGE FOUR CANCER. Now since he has passed these lies onto my new "doctor", they are making sure that they make my quality of life, whatever life I do have left, as miserable as possible. It's like THIS VA IS INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO LET ME DIE. I am so disgusted over the outright provable lies this man has said about me, all because I switched doctors because this man refuses to listen or hear me out in any way, which, the VA not listening to me is the ONLY reason the cancer is even a thing. They did nothing to help me in any way & are now actively harming me. This clinic is a total nightmare. I have only known of one single good person there in the entire almost 15 years I've been going to this VA. You are truly putting your life in what I believe to be extremely incompetent hands. They are the only reason I have to be scanned every 90 days for cancer cells for the rest of whatever life I have left. They are making my quality of life as miserable as possible because my infusions cost them $22k every 45 days.

I had a 9:30 appointment Thursday June 12 with Dr Mehta. I waited 45min and I was just leaving when he came in. I said I had to leave for a oncology appt. He started yelling he was the only doctor there he was stressed… out. I ask why he was yelling and he again said he was the only doctor. I was walking down the hall and was yelling unbelievable over and over. A veteran should not be treated this way.

The list of misdiagnosis is far to long and hurtful to list here. If you only need to check and see if you heart is beating they'll do just fine. Too bad the behavioral health is in the same building and has to be… associated with the medical section since they do a pretty good job. New update 11/22/22 Today I witnessed an elderly veteran being told to wait outside in 20 degree weather for someone to come and talk to him. He was walking with a cane and not a problem for anyone. I went out and talked to him and told him to come back inside while another vet told the receptionist he was to come back indoors. Myself and two other vets stayed with him until someone from the back came and made him go outside again. I passed by them on my way out and they were being disrespectful in their tone towards him. It might seem a little picky but would it be too difficult to add the words please and thank you to the vocabulary of the people that work there.

After receiving care at a major VA Medical facility, the treatment/care here is somewhat subpar. There seems to be no sense of urgency, and I have had to return to the clinic on several occasions due to mistakes being… made!😥It's like visiting Mayberry? Veterans deserve better from people who are there to SERVE THE VETERANS!! I will be transferring my Primary care back to NYC VA.

After weeks of attempting to get an appointment for my 89 year old father, we had a video appointment. The doctor told me to call his nurse "Theresa" and have her schedule physical therapy & home health checks. She was… not empathetic to his needs, more concerned with her own and getting covid. she informed me that she could "put the requests out there, but it would be 1 to 3 months before he could get any service" she said everyone is suffering now and I needed to understand she would not put other nurses at risk???
