Eric and the staff at Viewpoint were super helpful pre-admission. And they have provided life changing help to dramatically change my friend's life. They are responsive to all questions. Great place
My son was a 21 year old with schizoaffective disorder and substance abuse (marijuana) when he started at Viewpoint. We had tried several other treatment programs and always walked away with him going right back to the… drugs and his mental health out of control. At Viewpoint he became drug free, recognized how to manage his mental illness and has learned to live life. Through weekly family conversations, I knew how my son was doing throughout his entire journey. When he made enough progress, Viewpoint worked with us to help transition him into “the real world”. I am so blessed to now say that my son lives independently, works 5 days a week, exercises daily, is drug free, and is managing his mental health on his own. These are all life skills that Viewpoint instilled in him while he was there. THANK YOU Viewpoint, for helping my son get his life back!!!
One of my family members recently completed a nine month residential treatment program at Viewpoint and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people and treatment providers who run this facility and the… facility itself. This particular family member has an intractably difficult mental illness, which has been poorly controlled for 25 years. She is not an easy person to treat, but we feel inside somewhere is the mother and wife that we grew to love so much over the years. The Staff ant Viewpoint accepted this and worked under this regard, and were loving and respectful to her as well as expert in her treatment. She has been to many facilities and I cannot think of one that compares in any way to Viewpoint. If you're fortunate enough to be able to access their treatment I can promise that the efforts will be the best that she would get anywhere in the world. God bless the people and treatment staff who make this facility available to those in dire need.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful! I reached out to check bed availability and confirm they took my insurance, and while they didn’t contract with my particular plan, Eric was quick to give me suggestions and… really helped me feel like I wasn’t alone in this process. Above and beyond hardly covers it, and they weren’t even getting paid for the time they spent with me! He checked in with me a couple times through the process without being pushy, and really was a big reminder for me - Help is out there if you choose to seek it out. 💜
My time at Viewpoint was the best thing happened to me and what I needed. I developed the skills to live healthy and happy. Everyone went out of their way to help me. If you want to get healthy from me tal health and… substance issues, this is the only place that worked. Thanks so much.
My daughter had an incredible experience at View Point, She thrived in their program after experiencing years of mental health issues. Other programs didn't work for her. Thank you sooooo much for returning a daughter I… have not recognized for years. The staff are amazing and communicated with me throughout our journey. We are so grateful as a family.
Viewpoint’s approach to treatment for mental illness and recovery really helped a loved one. The services were consistent and the staff were highly engaged - they really care about their patients and go the extra mile… to meet the patients needs. Beyond satisfied with the treatment provided and so thankful for the growth my loved one made in this program.
My daughter came to Viewpoint after experiencing a churn program designed to put her back on the street way before she was ready. Viewpoint has been amazing. The staff are consistent and incredibly gifted at their… calling. My daughter had several compounding issues like hormones, and things that aren't usually in the mix, which the staff worked with, pivoting and taking as long as needed. What brings tears to my eyes is that after a long program, my daughter mentioned that on the flight back from visiting family suddenly she could understand what she was reading paragraph by paragraph, like when she could speed read and understand everything rathers than what she'd become accustomed to like a child reading things word at a time. She is thriving now with her treatment and relationships. We talk/text daily and she loves having a new relationship with us that was never possible before. Orchids to the staff and everyone at Viewpoint!
The time I spent at Viewpoint literally changed me from a lost, mental train wreck, in to a person who has learned, the life skills, coping skills, and insight to be able to live with independence, and happiness. I had… lost hope that would ever happen. Thank you so much for your love and compassion. You gave me peace in my life, and for that, I am forever grateful to Viewpoint.
Been here 4 months and this place has literally changed my life. I did not want to be here, but stoked I stayed, because my mental health is far and away better then it has ever been. Thank you Viewpoint!
Our son entered the Viewpoint program at a very low point in his life. We chose Viewpoint in part because of Dr Vaughan’s expertise in the use of clozapine, a medication he had never been offered in over 20 years of… serious mental illness. The staff was knowledgeable, dedicated, and compassionate. They regularly communicated with us and considered us part of the team. Our son learned social and psychological skills, and became more confident in navigating his recovery journey. He now lives independently and is a contributing member of the community. The program has been a game changer for our family. We are forever grateful to Viewpoint!
This was quite a journey, I learned a lot here that will help me in the future years. I had failed some programs before because I did not feel connected with the staff, or maybe it is the excuse I made! But I truly felt… connected and a part of and Viewpoint was exactly what I needed to learn the coping skills and life skills to have the confidence that I can live a healthy life. Not sure if I ever felt that would happen but here, we are. If you want genuine help around caring people for mental health and substance treatment. Go to Viewpoint.
My son came to Viewpoint completely lost and broken. He was dealing with substance abuse and severe depression and was losing hope. We have tried several other programs to no avail and his continued downward spiral.… Viewpoint changed that for him and us, my son is home now, healthier than before. He was giving coping skills he needs to succeed in life, our family is forever grateful.
I have so much confidence now to be able to live a healthy, productive life after leaving Viewpoint, that I thought for the last few years would never happen. I now have the tools that I learned at Viewpoint to be a… productive person, a great mom, and to now have a smile on my face. Thank you so much to everyone at Viewpoint that took the time, extra time to take my mental health to a new and really healthy level. I am forever grateful.
I have learned so much at Viewpoint about myself, and what I need to do to stay healthy, that I cannot thank them enough. The other clients here made me feel like I belonged, as I felt alone when I got here. I finally… have good coping skills, and life skills to succeed, and never thought that was possible either. The staff went over and beyond for me. highly recommend Viewpoint to anyone suffering with mental health and substance. Thank you again.
We can't express enough how grateful we are to have found Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center! Truly an amazing team! Dr. Vaugh and Dr. Summers, as well as the staff are a great a team! We would always highly recommend this… treatment facility, and we still keep in touch on a regular basis to provide updates!!! Thanks!!!!
Had an awesome experience being able to improve my mental health and improve my lifestyle here at Viewpoint Dual Recovery. Thanks to the unwavering support of staff and peers, would suggest anybody who's in need of help… to definitely consider Viewpoint. When I came here, I was pretty sure I would not be able to live independently which was important to me, but now I am confident that I can. Thank you, Viewpoint, for changing my life.
I stayed at this treatment center for quite some time and had a great experience. All of the staff are very supportive and the progress of all the other clients including my self have grown tremendously at viewpoint. I… would highly recommend considering this center.
I stayed at Viewpoint for 6 months for mental health and addiction issues. The stay genuinely cares about clients. House managers, therapists, and other staff all do their jobs very well. I gained a lot of perspective… from going to AA and other kinds of meetings, weekday groups, and finding and working with a sponsor. I would recommend Viewpoint to anyone seeking to improve their mental health and get clean from drug use.
The clinical staff here really pushes you to strive and do your best. When I first got here I was welcomed into open arms with people who truly do care about your recovery. The med staff is always very attentive and… always there to brighten your day. My house managers Brandi & RoseAnnie really made my experience. I was able to build strong healthy relationships with staff who does their best to help you grow. Bevan, my therapist never failed to show her support. Thank you Viewpoint!
The staff was super friendly I was able to fully gain knowledge and experience on not to only how to handle my drug problem but issues with my mental health as well. This is a great place to be if you need help, would… highly recommend to anyone looking for mental health help or drug abuse treatment and counseling.
Our loved one recently began a stay at Viewpoint and my review today is about our admissions experience. The complexity of finding a loved one care which every family member can agree upon is hard enough in any crisis… situation where time is limited. Add to this the complexity of accomplishing this goal when the family is coming from a divorce situation (a factor that often isn't acknowledged but is very real for many families - even a peaceful divorce such as ours). Eric went above and beyond making the time for long calls with EACH of us to answer all our questions not just about the program but about how we could share the financial responsibilities. He was also instrumental in facilitating the timing of a door-to-door transfer/admission for our loved one so that continuity of care and our loved one's safety could be maintained So far, the rest our experience with the clinicians, doctors and counselors has also been excellent and the communication from all levels of staff has been outstanding. Viewpoint has restored our hope. We feel comfort to know our loved one is in safe, caring hands, and we remain optimistic that we will soon be able to provide a follow up review of the results of our loved one's care here. UPDATE: Following discharge, I continue to have only good things to say about Viewpoint. Our loved one's stay was what was needed to reclaim the life they truly want and deserve. Thank you to all the staff at Viewpoint for an experience that our loved one to this day says was very positive for them and that they look back on fondly, not just their friendships and the companionship with the other residents, but the staff, the activities and meetings they were able to take part in and also the local job they had there which helped them regain their confidence and belief in themselves. Thank you for always keeping us well informed also, and for helping coordinate discharge. Grateful, hopeful and empowered is how we remain feeling today! Thank you all for your dedication to a very underserved need in our society.
This was my first and hopefully last time in a treatment program. While it was not easy (it never is, or so I hear), I learned a lot of valuable life skills that I will be taking with me into the real world. Things such… as effective coping skills, stress and anger management, budgeting, planning (for my future), social skills, developing self-esteem, how to get and maintain a job, be independent and responsible, and more. Being an addict and drug user for more than 15 years, it was also nice to achieve my longest length of sobriety since my teenage years while here. This, in return, has helped me develop a very clear state of mind, one where I am now more confident than I've ever been and competent in terms of my ability to function as a healthy and "normal" human being. The staff at Viewpoint are kind, knowledgeable, experienced, and generous, and are a large reason for my success up until this point. In particular, I would like to thank my therapist, Tim, who went above and beyond in every imaginable way to ensure my growth and success, and Vlad, who did the same, in addition to making me feel as comfortable and at home as possible. The staff - especially Tim and Vlad - always saw the best in me and encouraged me not only to believe in myself, but to continually push myself in order to achieve my true potential, which has always been a goal of mine. Now, because of my time at Viewpoint, I feel that I am finally ready to make that happen, and I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity that was given to me. If you work hard on yourself while you are here, learning, growth, success, and, of course, sobriety are the only inevitable outcomes. I give this program 5 stars based on its effectiveness. It may not provide everything you want, but it certainly provides everything you need (to succeed).
Words cannot express how grateful we are to all of the kind and caring people who helped our son at Viewpoint. He has been home 2 weeks now after 19 months. After the first phone call with Eric, it took about 4 months… to get him to agree to go there. Eric was patient and not pushy, talking to our son every so often and reassuring us. Finally our son agreed to go. He was in such a low place, that at first it was rocky for him. But once he was there and throughout his stay, we had lots of contact with his therapists and we felt very connected to what was happening with him. (We are still in touch with them!) We visited every 3 months and each time we saw improvement which became more and more significant as time went on. We felt that our son was in a safe, and caring environment where they took the individual into account and treated him with respect and compassion. This was his 4th place and that had certainly not been the case before. In addition, we learned the hard way, that the term "dual diagnosis" is slapped onto many treatment places that do not fit the bill. It is crucial that the mental illness piece be adeptly handled first, or at least strongly in tandem with the addiction, in order for someone to engage in psychiatric therapy and addiction treatment. That is what they do at Viewpoint. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our Viewpoint family-Tim, Bevan, Dr. Vaughan, Eric, Joe, Arora, Vlad, Chris, Amy, Carolyn and all the rest, including the house managers. You have given us our son back.
The staff at viewpoint are all extremely caring and professional. They do their best to ensure you are getting the help you need and take any problems that you may have very seriously. They are compassionate and… empathetic and sincerely care about your recovery. Viewpoint allows you an opportunity to work on improve yourself and setting up a future that will allow you to succeed in life after treatment. The therapists and house managers work with you to make sure you are happy with the direction your treatment is going in and are always open to making changes along the way. My life has drastically improved since attending viewpoint for treatment and I would highly recommend their services to anyone dealing with addiction or mental health issues.
I'm writing my review based on my admissions process and my sons first week at viewpoint. I contacted Eric on a Tuesday regarding my 19 year old son who we have been trying desperately to help for the last 3 years in… many different ways. He responded immediately and had us set up and we were on a plane to Arizona the next day. Everyone so far has been very helpful and has kept us very informed on his progress. We could not be more thankful this experience so far.
Thank you to Erik and the staff at Viewpoint Dual Recovery for your care and your service. The changes I see in my nephew are amazing. True professionals who actually care. Thanks again to you all.
5 Stars is nowhere near reflective of how we feel about Viewpoint Dual Recovery!! Our 26 year old son has been using alcohol and cannabis for 12 years. He was originally diagnosed with ADD/ADHD & Bipolar II in his… teens. He was resistant to therapy, refused taking medications and continued to self –medicate over the years. Over the past decade or so he lost 3 close friends (suicide & overdose), multiple family members, 2 beloved dogs, and recently his girlfriend (love of his life) to cancer. He has been suicidal and really didn’t care about life. He struggled in multiple ways with life. He hit rock bottom and went voluntarily for help on July 4th. Things went from bad to worse when he tried to sign out AMA (against medical advice) because he was suicidal and was put under petition. He became completely psychotic for 5 – 6 days and was ultimately hospitalized at Banner Boswell Medical Center for medical management. When he was under petition we knew we had to act on his behalf to get appropriate care. I called Viewpoint in the early morning and left a message. Eric Erickson, Director of Clinical Outreach and Admissions, contacted me within the hour and we spoke for nearly an hour about my son’s issues & the program and whether it might be a good fit. Eric put my mind at ease that Viewpoint could address both my son’s addictions and mental health issues. My husband & I went to visit Viewpoint the next day and got to meet Eric & Chris K. (therapist) to learn more. We walked away feeling confident if there is any hope for our son it would be through Viewpoint. At this point our son’s psychosis was worsening and he was still under petition. Eric was instrumental in helping get our son released directly from Banner Boswell Medical Center to Viewpoint rather than being readmitted to another county medical health facility. We were thrilled to learn Chris K. (the therapist we originally met with) would be our son’s therapist. Chris is an amazing, caring person. He made himself available to us and helped us understand our son’s issues and his treatment. Chris recommended many books to help deal with things on our end! He was realistic and to the point which was perfect for our son and for us. Dr. Vaugh (the psychiatrist) called me directly upon our son’s admission and evaluation to discuss his diagnoses and plan of care. Over the nearly 90 days our son was there at Viewpoint he made he made the most amazing transition! He acknowledged his mental health and addiction issues, accepted help and worked the program. He worked through his withdrawal, and faced his demons and decided he wanted to finally live for himself. I can only credit the grace of God, and the good and caring people at Viewpoint who are exemplary!
It's hard to find help for recovery and mental health when so many places don't take your insurance or simply turn you away, when I contacted viewpoint and they didn't take our insurance Eric did everything he could to… help me find somewhere that could help us and work for us. Thanks to this we were able to get my husband the help he needed or else we would have probaby given up. Thank you for caring Eric
