Rehabs That Take TEAM EAP

TEAM EAP is a name listed by treatment centers in Wisconsin. Support connected to it can extend to drug and alcohol concerns, with benefits that vary by employer, network and level of care. Programs of this kind often cover a set of short counseling sessions, while longer treatment may be billed to a separate health plan.

Wisconsin centers listed here name TEAM EAP on their own websites, and some may accept it only for an initial assessment. Before admission, contact the facility, TEAM EAP and your health plan to check benefits, network status, referral or authorization needs and any out-of-pocket cost.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

What is TEAM EAP?

TEAM, short for Total Employee Assistance Management, is a Minnesota-based employee assistance program founded in 1987. Unions and employers sponsor it for their workers, members and dependents, and it provides short-term counseling, assessment, referral, care coordination and medical advocacy rather than health coverage.

Headquarters are in Edina, Minnesota, with offices in Duluth, in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and in Papillion, Nebraska. A counselor answers the toll-free line, 1-800-634-7710, around the clock.

Employee Assistance Programshttps://rehabseekers.com/payment/employee-assistance-programs/
Is TEAM EAP health insurance?

No, TEAM is an employee assistance program rather than an insurer, and it does not pay claims. Its own FAQ sends benefit and denied-claim questions to the member's union fund administrator or health plan, using the number printed on the back of the health plan ID card.

The employer or union pays TEAM directly, so counseling costs the member nothing, while treatment that follows is billed to the separate health plan.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does TEAM EAP cover rehab?

No, TEAM does not pay for rehab. It gives free assessment and short-term counseling for alcohol or drug problems, then connects the member with providers in its network and follows up. Whether residential or outpatient treatment is covered depends on the member's union fund or health plan.

Call 1-800-634-7710 for the assessment, then check treatment benefits with the fund administrator or the plan number on your ID card.

TEAM, short for Total Employee Assistance Management, is an employee assistance program rather than a health insurer. A union or an employer sponsors it, and what that sponsorship buys is free short-term counseling, assessment, referral and care coordination for the workforce and their dependents. TEAM does not pay a treatment bill.

That distinction shapes everything about using TEAM to reach rehab. Alcohol or drug problems sit among the most common issues its counselors handle, and the first conversation costs nothing. Anything past the counseling benefit – withdrawal management, a residential stay, a day program – is billed to the union health fund or the health plan whose number is printed on the back of the ID card. TEAM’s own FAQ routes benefit and claim questions to that number.

This guide covers what the employee assistance program benefit includes, where it stops, who authorizes treatment, what a stay costs once the EAP hands off, how medication is paid for, and how to find a program that works with a TEAM referral.
