ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. My girlfriend was sent to this place because she was feeling lonely and has mental health problems. and their plan was to isolate her in a room for HOURS alone. not talking to anyone. keep her there… for 5 days and took her phone so she can’t talk to anyone. She experienced a man masturbating infront of her while staring at her and when she reported it. the nurse talks to the man and points at her and puts her on the spot making her feel VERY unsafe in a place like that. This place is disgusting and needs to close down for good. I’m genuinely disgusted and so lucky i wasn’t down there to handle that weird ass dude and those nurses.

My girlfriend is there and she informed me a man was brought onto the unit today who has pulled his penis out in front of multiple women and master-bated, grabbed her ass, broke two phones and has tried starting fights… with her multiple times. i tried reaching the facility for over an hour straight.. calling all the nurses stations, the crisis line, the intake line and the “0” for operator option which does not even work. The man received no consequences from staff and was allowed to continue his sexual assaults all through the day. I dont care where it occurs sexual assault is still a crime. our loved ones go into these facilities to recieve the help and care they need and it is absolutely up to the staff to care for and protect them. I have contacted Gilbert Police and am waiting on a follow up call… and no staff has returned called me off of any of the voicemails I left.

Staff leaves patients in need of ambulance and medical care long hours and even moves them to isolation (I wouldn’t want to be my roommate either during that) however staff left me unattended knowing I arrived from a… stay in a medical facility, did not evaluate or assess me correctly as the hospital that finally got called to get me about 24iah hours later, when the NiGHt nurse came on even though I had asked for one 4 times that day. Other penitents were more concerned than staff bringing me water and asking if I was ok. The 48 ish hours I was there I was not checked on about what I was eating after coming to their care after huge health ailments and being put on a pure diet they offers me one ensure each day I was there suring meds ..then come to find out they kept my belongings when the ambulance took me stole a 50$ phone case, all my clothes which was literally a pair of seats and a shirt not alot but all I have when I live over 2.5 hours away. once I was transported by ambulance to Gilbert mercy care where I was admitted 4 days, whom quite likely saved my lif. ironically I wasn’t suicidal or homociddal nor a endangerment to anyone, however I agree with statement of rude crude and uncaring mean nurses. thank I wasn’t in psychosis or needed kind words of support from staff. Who mind you run away if you approach them while ill! A man literally outside where u have to ask to be let in jumped up from the table and was like don’t come over here lol also the psyche ward is not a fun environment as it is but the smoke breaks should be even though out the entire facility. You also should not have family member drop off tobacco without double checking that said person is at that facility. We were told during intake if we wanted cigarettes we had to buy unopened packs and have them dropped off I did that but they left my brother drop them off at location in Avondale after signing documents to ensure I would receive them. Theefpre donations are being revived without being given and you should check on your loved ones belongings. favorites should not be a thing and to think both of my SMi diagnosed siblings stayed here both with also highly bad experiences. I truly hope for the care of the patents in this facility it gets blasted out of the water and fixed for what it should be not what they claim and they kept every single person that night to fill beds insane… which in turn makes sense who knows how Avondale location is but we all see why we can’t have our phones at Gilbert

My family member was here. This place was absolutely useless. She literally asked for therapy (including groups), they kept saying they didn't have any that day. What kind of place keeps patients inpatient and doesn't… do several daily therapy groups?! She couldn't get a referral for outpatient therapy. They only had 1 working phone for patients to use to call family. They waited over 24 hours to give her her clothes after they had been delivered (including her meds that she needed). Just beyond useless all the way around.

If you want the bare minimum in treatment for addiction only, this is your place. If you have other issues ; psychiatric or eating disorders, they will warehouse you for a week and then dump you out with absolutely zero… supports in place. They don’t even monitor patients or have any accountability from top to bottom. Please don’t send your family member here.

9 HOURS plus I sat waiting to be taken into a unit from 4:30pm when I got into unit clock said 2:30am. Then they laugh at you when you finally break and panic and are told to "be an adult." Absolutely no excuse to wait… 10 HOURS when in crisis while the other employees gossip and laugh. Digusted. Someone has already died in the past James Slade due to this absolutely inexcusable time management. Painful hours on top of hours. I believe he could have been saved.

This place is a nightmare. They need an immediate investigation and shutdown. Do not let your loved ones go there for any reason. Once admitted you will never be able to speak to anyone and once you do they will lie to… you and everyone there will have a different story. My daughter is in there now and I’m afraid she may be the next fatality caused by this place. Last word from them was they were going to discharge her but won’t tell us where or when and she has a severe brain injury, Korsakoff syndrome but they don’t care nor will they listen to us. She is suicidal and cannot care for herself. Please avoid this place so you don’t go through what I and so many other families are with this place. Look at all the reviews and how negative they all are.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. This is the mental health facility that, back in February of this year, nearly killed me due to medical malpractice and neglect, used outdated medical practices on me like… trying to get me out of a functional seizure using AMMONIA, even after I told them that makes my seizures worse. Staff ended up leaving me covered in my own pee and vomit while still in a full blown seizure, unsupervised in my room for 30 min. I was even accused of faking my seizures by several staff, including nurses and doctors, and not only were they were called “behaviors”, I was also being threatened to be kicked out of the program if I kept seizing. I was accused of faking my mutism, accused of only speaking “when I want to”. I was actively denied access to ASL interpreters several times, ignoring my legal rights. I was only checked in here because when I called my local crisis unit, they informed me that no local mental health facility would be able to accommodate me because of my mobility needs and speech aid and interpreter needs. I was taken to the local emergency room to be placed somewhere that would supposedly be able to accommodate me properly. As soon as I arrived, I was shown that was not the case. I was forced to write everything I needed to communicate with any and all staff down on a piece of paper with these flimsy pens that members can use. I have stacks of paper and journals full of all the writing they forced me to do, and written down several times is my request for ASL interpretation and text to speech abilities. All ignored. It wasn’t until the last couple nights of my stay that I was finally moved to a wheelchair friendly room, leaving me to depend on staff the majority of my time there in order to help me transfer, as neither my bathrooms nor beds had bars for transferring. I was forced to wheel myself, despite informing staff I was not in the right wheelchair for my disability (I require a power wheelchair ) and ended up with severe shoulder and hand injuries from overuse. Then, when I would ask for help being wheeled or transferring, a nurse proclaimed several times “THIS IS NOT AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY”. Which is so ableist and disturbing coming from a NURSE. When I complained about this to a doctor, he defended her words saying, “Well, that’s true”, but if I had been placed in the proper bedroom with the proper accommodations, I would need LESS assistance, not MORE. Over the last few months, I have tried time and time again to get ahold of the facility over the phone to get access to my medical records from there and I have yet to have ANY luck. I also don’t understand how a facility that deals with people who have disabilities, can be so absolutely ableist in so many ways. There is so, so much more I could say about the lack of dignity every member that enters this place receives, like the lack of comfy clothes to exist in if you arrive with no clothes. SO many staff members here need to be investigated and fired.

Do not go here for help or send a loved one. The “psychiatrist” is a joke. Doesn’t listen or show respect. Talks down to patients. And essentially accuses you of lying. If you actually get to speak with a therapist…… you’re lucky. Because they tell you you’ll be speaking to the therapist later that day, or tomorrow, but that time never comes. After being admitted, and they were going through an assessment or intake or something, after every question about my mental health, I was asked “why?” For instance, They were going through their questionnaire, when I answered yes to having depression I was asked why. When I answered yes to anxiety, I was asked why. Every. Single. Thing. If you’re ill while there, good luck. (I.e. vomiting for 5 days straight. Barely even able to keep down water), the most they did is offer anti-nausea med. Which were also thrown up. When you can’t take the meds, the psychiatrist is trying to get you to take… some of them treat you like you’re just a difficult patient. Could barely walk up stairs after released because I was so weak. I think I only had a couple staff members that seemed nice or like they cared. But certainly not the people that had the most influence in my “care”

I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. My brother did a five-day treatment program, aside from dosing him someone else’s meds, it was what transpired during his discharge that was the most disappointing. I arrived to pick… him up and he was panicking, I asked the nurse what was going on and he said “how much time you got, we can’t seem to locate his items we logged when he came here, I’m gonna check storage”. His passport and phone were his only two lifelines to money and starting a job. It was very apparent the nurse knew someone took the items or simply couldn’t be hassled to do the bare minimum. After 45 minutes of him disappearing, I told them it was obvious the items were long gone and asked what the next step was. The front desk guy says “here’s the phone number to check on the status”. I asked if someone will actually answer as the entire time he was there, I spent nearly an hour on the phone trying to get someone to pick up. He said “that’s my number, I can transfer you to the CEO if need be”. My brother started calling the next day, then it seemed they started screening his calls and refused to answer. At this point we are left with no choice but to file theft charges with Gilbert PD so they can review cameras. After reading reviews, the loss of patient’s possessions seems to be a common occurrence. Taking advantage of humans at their most vulnerable points is as low as it gets. Between replacing a phone and passport it cost $425, I am wanting answers or reimbursement.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Absolutely awful, our daughter self admitted and was told it would be one day, they tried to keep her 8 days and would not let her sign the AMA even though she self admitted!! The med dr even… said she was no harm to herself or others and would recommend her to be discharged and they still kept trying to keep her. I think this is all for insurance claims and money in their pocket. Communication is horrid my daughter sought help and she lost trust and will never reach out to 988 again which is scary. she was also not in a safe space she was attached twice and i could hear screaming and fights going on when i was on the phone with her.

After coming here over the past few years, I agree and disagree with allot of these reviews. Yes, it's true that when you first get here the intake process is extremely long and some people complaining on here say that… others are following them in the room? The staff there are in charge of keeping an eye on everyone while the evaluation process is done. No, this place is not perfect but it's absolutely better than most facilities around here. If your loved one doesn't fill out an ROI then the staff will not talk to you regarding your loved one...it's HIPPA LAW! People need to stop complaining about Copper Springs...go to groups, sleep, eat right, and stop complaining about everything here. Obviously there is, and has been, a huge staff shortage and these workers are trying their best to help you or your family member with resources to help make a change in life. All I'm reading are people complaining about dumb stuff. Tell ya what...go to CPEC CBI then talk to me. You're lucky to even have a place to seek some sort of help...negativity might be part of the problem here with these comments...get your s together, stop complaining, go back to school, and then help others in your situation. The food is good, the place is cleaner then most others, and groups are all the time so utilize them. Communication about and with your family that are here is limited for a reason...techs are everywhere so safety isn't an issue...if you complaining people think you need better, then have fun searching it out because they're very limited in Arizona. Thank you to EVERY STAFF MEMBER working here and the Dr's are exceptional as always.

First off all the nurses only pass meds another then that they don't do anything else. You can stand in front of them and they will act like you don't exist. Discharge planner is no help. Had to wait 5 hours after I was… discharged to get a ride from my insurance. Only reason that happen was she never put in the order and told my husband she would. Saw her on unit just watching tv. I'm like go do your job and get me a ride. Tech's and only some are the only ones that would even look at you. Rico was a loud one but he is the best they have there. He was always looking out for me. CEO is on unit sometimes and doesn't care what is going on. 90 percent of this place is a rehab. People are coming off drugs and it's not a fun thing to be around. I wouldn't go here for mental health. Food has to much pepper on everything. Stay away.

Big joke ! What you see there is really what you get a s show !!!!They don’t give proper care I sent my brother there 3 different people had different diagnoses the same day , staff doesn’t communicate with each other.… Treat the patients like cattle . They tried to discharge him without even getting him stable then another person would call same day and say he isn’t ready for discharge and full circle. They never answer messages or the phones . Beginning to wonder if the staff is on drugs . They tried to argue with me saying that the rehab facility my brother came from ever would have drugs circulating with patients when the state confirmed it. Now to top it off they won’t answer SSDI case manager to release hi records and we will be reporting to state concerning this issue . Do not put yourself or your loved ones in this facility

I will go somewhere else! And I had to pee and no one would help me .

I'm a parent and so far I'm hearing this place give a lot of medication and hear that the staff don't communicate. My loved one is getting different diagnosis. Let's see how this works out. I hope these reviews aren't… all true.

I arrived at Copper Springs after receiving what I believed was a secure transmission from surviving members of the Jedi Order. The brochure clearly implied this facility was a discreet refuge for Force-sensitive… individuals seeking shelter in the aftermath of Order 66. Imagine my disappointment. Upon arrival, I informed the staff that I was a Jedi Knight in hiding and urgently needed to establish communications with Ashley Eckstein, whom I know to be a trusted representative of Ahsoka Tano, as well as Dave Filoni, one of the few historians preserving accurate records of the Clone Wars. My requests were repeatedly denied. Red flag #1. The staff claimed that neither individual was available to speak with me. Convenient. Exactly the sort of thing someone would say if the facility had already been infiltrated by Imperial Intelligence. Red flag #2. I attempted to warn other residents that the Inquisitors were almost certainly tracking Force signatures in the area. Instead of thanking me for my vigilance, staff members insisted that there were "no Inquisitors" and suggested I attend group therapy. Group therapy! As if discussing feelings is going to stop a double-bladed lightsaber from cutting through the front doors. The facility itself is alarmingly vulnerable. Hallways offer minimal defensive choke points. Windows are plentiful. I observed no anti-TIE fighter emplacements whatsoever. At one point I was fairly certain a maintenance worker was actually the Grand Inquisitor wearing a disguise and nobody seemed concerned. Most troubling of all, I was never issued a lightsaber, emergency comlink, Jedi robes, or extraction coordinates to rendezvous with surviving members of the Rebel Alliance. To future Force-sensitive refugees: do not be fooled by the marketing. This is not a hidden Jedi enclave. This is not a secure safehouse. If the Empire discovers this location, everyone inside will be forcefully enrolled in another mindfulness workshop before being captured. The Force was not with this place.

This place needs to be shut down! I was here for one day and they nearly killed me I am allergic to a ingredient and they had to rush me to the hospital and then was embarrassed they kept me on suicidal watch which I… was not their for and then brought me back and again I was supposed to be discharged the same day when I went there they were so slow at processing and thought it was funny just to hold me and the physician stated I was supposed to be released the same day why was I still here this is what I’ve been telling them all along. Also the 9-11 was a joke they didn’t even have proper medical care for this emergency. I can’t elaborate but will keep this updated. I’ve been calling leaving messages to get their insurance information so they can pay the bill from the hospital but won’t return my call and went there several times said nobody was able to help. I will give them one more chance then it will leave messages no choice to seek legal counsel.

This facility will lie about what you say to fill a bed! I went for an assessment to find out which group therapy would be best for me after I requested it from my therapist. She referred me there knowing I was not at… all a danger to myself or others. I’ve just been through a lot and wanted additional help processing it in an online group setting. When I called they said I had to come in for an assessment. I was almost immediately locked in a room unsupervised with men and women who were clearly going through withdrawal or had severe mental health issues. I knocked on the door to tell them I felt unsafe when a man kept following me around the room. I was told I couldn’t leave until my assessment which took HOURS! They did not care that a SA survivor didn’t feel safe with men following her around the room. When I had my assessment I told them about wanting group but at that time I was so freaked out and just wanted to go home. They then informed me I was on a 24 hour hold. I told them to call an ambulance because I was having a heart attack (I have had three already) I was almost certain it was just a panic attack but again so freaked out I didn’t want to be locked in the room with those men any longer. I got to ER told the doctor everything and was like I’m so sorry. I will go sign your discharge papers. He came back only to tell me the facility faxed them saying I was stock piling medication to end my life and that I said I wanted to crash my car…. First neither of those things came out of my mouth nor would they ever. The doctor even said he didn’t believe I would harm myself but because they sent the fax he had to keep me. They will lie to fill a bed. RUN far far away from this place. Also they left my meds unsupervised with another patient and would not give me my records despite having to go back to my worst nightmare to fill out their form.

Do not send your loved one here unless you are prepared for frustration, stress, and a lack of accountability. My brother is autistic and requires clear verbal guidance and assistance with paperwork. He went to this… facility for an outpatient therapy program but was mistakenly processed into inpatient care. He clearly told the front desk he was there for outpatient therapy and even asked them to confirm. Despite this, staff instructed him to continue filling it out without clarification. What’s even more concerning is that his therapist, Eddie who has seen him before continued the intake process without recognizing or correcting the mistake. Meanwhile, staff called my mother saying my brother never showed up for outpatient therapy, causing panic when he wasn’t answering his phone. An hour later, they called back to say he had been admitted as an inpatient. My mother asked for an explanation, Eddie eventually said that if my brother is checked out, he would call the police and that he could be placed somewhere worse where we wouldn’t be able to find him. That kind of response is completely inappropriate and unacceptable, especially given my brother’s condition. We went to the facility in person and asked for a supervisor. He was the only staff member who showed any compassion, but ultimately said there was little he could do beyond reporting the situation. When my mother spoke with the director, she saw nothing wrong with what had happened. There was no accountability, no resolution, and no corrective action. This experience was deeply upsetting and handled with a complete lack of care, communication, and professionalism.
