I have two kids and I will admit I have waited for some time before posting this, for the sake of my kids and myself. My 12-year-old has IED, PTSD, ADHD, and depression. My 10-year-old has ADHD an anxiety. Our family… was referred to Boys Town as a way of help with the changes of two pre-teen kids with problems that we were trying to work through. First, we were placed on a 19 week wait list. While we were in crisis mood. With out any support. Once we were approved for in home program we went through the two-hour interview. I was left feeling like I was still unsure what to expect with the next visit. When the next visit come my 12-year-old was already having a hard day. Our worker asked her how it was going. Her response was with a very big attitude! Her little brother picked up on her mood and decided to pick at her. Resulting in my daughter going off physically shoving him and got a little verbale as well. I was handling it know that this child would get her headphones and go for a walk 10-minute walk and be good. To my shock I was told that Boys Town was mandatory reporters and that they were going to be calling PD. 5 metro officers showed up at my front door lights on. 45 minutes after our worker left. My 12 year old was calm and set peacefully speaking with them. As they were leaving the admitted that they were confused on why it was called in, they did not see a child that was a danger to them, us or herself. What this has done has been to further traumatize my daughter. This happened at the start of 2026, she is now with a therapist that has been able to build a trust relationship with her after 6 months this past week. That is why I have waited to post this review to give her the time to try work through the trauma Boys Town brought her that day.
I will never go back to behavioral health Boystown again after the way they treated my daughter’s psychologist and all his patients after they let him go without warning then tossing all his patients like their mental… health didn’t matter to them at all it was a goodbye we got rid of him now we don’t want you either good luck to ya here’s a list of some other people you can contact but you can’t stay with us. Well we’re following our psychologist Dr Kiss wherever he goes because ya he’s that good sorry he made to much money for you Boystown your loss you can’t afford him.
