I enjoyed my time here thanks so much
Hi I’m Pj , I discharged from this facility maybe about a month ago and I have to say this was a decent program. I don’t expect much from a rehab facility , it’s not supposed to be a fun vacation (which took me a while… to realize). This place helped me create some of the most wholesome companionships and also gave me the opportunity to better myself. All tho there are definitely things that could be worked on it’s not a bad place to send your kid. Shoutout to Candice , Danielle , Julianna , barn lady Jennifer, And Madison for helping me get through the hardest part of my life .
Hello my name is Jackson. I went here from February 2024 - May 2024. And again August 2024 - September 2024 | This place is really what you make it. It’s a truly unique experience that you won’t get to experience ever… again. The campus is super cool and refreshing. They have a barn with horses, a mule, and a donkey. They have a pretty cool ropes course, a big house that you share with 13 other kids and staff, a van and a car that they take you to places in (AA, NA, Activities), and 2 pretty cool chefs who make surprisingly good food for a treatment center. I had the pleasure of working with Valerie. I’ve worked with so many therapists over the years but she truly sticks out from all of them. She’s incredibly nice and very good at her job. Although when I came back home after my first trip here I ended up falling back into my same habits but worse. Which resulted in my coming back to foothills for a second time and wilderness after that. This is not foothills fault for not giving me enough resources. It’s my fault for not taking it serious enough. I’m currently in my 8th treatment program in Utah 320+ days sober. And I can say this program was a part of that sobriety. Watch of for staff that give kids substances, kids that get substances on outings, and kids mistreating other kids to fit in. Before sending your kid here, I recommend you do a lot of research to truly see if this fits your kids needs. Good luck 👁️
Absolutely horrible program. I completed the program 2 years ago and my treatment was full refunded after, so that tells you a lot. When recent clients say Bridget doesn’t care they are not lying, as it was the same… when I was there. Makes sense that she got demoted back to clinical director. If you ever want to send your kids here don’t do it. They give no care accept money. When I was there the RG’s and landscaping guys were awesome and great people but after the departure of them I saw how bad the foothills hiring process was. Bridget I always said this will not be the last of what foothills sees of me. Y'all are going down.
Parents BEWARE. This program is constantly understaffed and helplessly mismanaged from the top down. They are currently down to 2 therapists when there should be five. The boots on the ground employees are given no… support so the turnover rate leads to constant instability. Look elsewhere.
Foothills helped me to mature and grow mentally much more then I would have had I been at home, I feel like the majority of the staff really do care and I think it’s a good place for recovery and a big shout out to… Casey he helped me a lot and is very supportive and tries to connect with the kids there.
The one star reviews seem to be from people who were removed from the program due to choices they made ie…consequences were enforced. It is a homey, clean facility with a beautiful campus. A wonderful facility with… caring and present staff. The support our entire family received was amazing.
The therapy aspect was great shoutout to cianna and so was the food and the animals but bridget the owner sucks she prioritized literal freetime at the end of the day over aa and na visits and some of the staff were so… unreasonable and as far as actual recovery goes its not a good environment most of my friends from this place have relapsed and so many people quit while i was there so was really unstable and rather than stop taking in new kids and take a while to find solid staff they literally hired a guy who tackled one of my friends to the ground because he refused to get off a computer game also the shower and bathrooms were so disgusting its not even funny and there was no chance to get any sort of privacy or personal space besides the bathroom conner james and chef nick and chef jacob were probably my favorite workers there tho and ofc jennifer and val and ash were all wonderful ✌️
Howdy there, my name is Watson Carter. I was sent here in July and was kicked out about 3 months later in September. I tried writing a review a few months ago but it was taken down multiple times. Good looks. Anyways,… the 'facility' smells like excrement and sweat. The vast majority of the staff are incompetent. Some of them have zero professional or even personal history with any kind of addiction. The 'recovery' is below subpar. Essentially, you will spend the majority of your time in two rooms: The carriage house (where you have tri-daily AA-esque meetings of the same topics cycled over and over) and the "gym" (a repurposed garage with a set of weights.) I can confirm that most of the guys in my milieu had zero intentions of retaining their sobriety after discharge. Would it be too far too say that that is almost entirely the fault of the staff? I think not. Hope you have insurance, cuz' this baby is $600 a night! Awesome Sauce!
very bad treatment the only good thing is the food. they often will lash out sometimes results in loss of necessities like medicine
This place helped my son grow up and take responsibility for his actions. The staff was supportive of me as well, as I learned how to best support him in his recovery. I am so thankful.
As a local mental health clinician, I have referred multiple families to Foothills for adolescents in recovery. The staff here is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. Recovery for an adolescent can look different than… what it looks like for an adult and I feel like the dedicated staff understand the differences.
The treatment here is terrible. It’s a comfortable place and very cushy but treatment wise and setting you up for success this place is not it at all. Treatment here is a joke
finn always helps us
Was alr lowkey helped a lot with my mental not so much with my drug use but I don’t use hard drugs anymore so ig it worked
saved my life
