I urge parents to be aware of who is taking care of your children. This is what staff is allowed to post about your children. Bullying and clear negligence. This nurse does not care about your children. She posts about… them in disputing ways all over her Facebook and is allowed to keep her job while still posting. Very shameful behavior. Very very disappointing as a company.
As a mother of a child with significant mental development support needs, I find this type of attitude from a professional absolutely abhorrent.
This place is terrible the beds are very uncomfortable and they give you one blanket I would say it’s a very thin and the pillow is very flat. The nurse does not know how to draw blood whatsoever nor find a vein,… sticking me twice was very unnecessary and tbh this place made me not want to socialize with anybody, there are fights that happen there and the staff has attitudes and say that there is something that’s was making that place a little bit funner they would take points away and you would have to stay longer and, I’d say this place made my mental health worse and they make you do things you don’t want to do Other wise you get points taken away and you have to stay longer. I think the kids there should be able to talk to there family whenever they want to not certain days. and when you get there and you have strings on your clothes, they take them out and tear up your clothes same with shoes. And is the strings are sewed into the clothing. They will cut it out. The showers suck too you have to keep pressing the button to get water and you have to flush the toilet a couple times to get hot water. I didn’t allow them to wash my clothes but when I was there whatever they were using, the other kids complained about itching. So I don’t recommend this place at all
I hated this place. I was admitted into here when I was 11 for wanting to kill myself. I personally did NOT like the staff. They were super rude to me for crying and wanting to be home. My teachers were nice and my… therapist there was nice. I was told I couldn't bring a damn journal to school and had to keep it on the unit when it was the ONLY thing keeping me calm and keeping me from having a breakdown. The food in my opinion was disgusting. They gave me meds that were useless and didn't help one bit besides make me feel numb. I personally don't think it even deserves a one star but I kinda can't post this without giving it a rating.
Awful admissions staff. No compassion at all. Was referred by another acute stay facility and this guy interrupted me multiple times and said my child’s self harming behavior “wasn’t enough to get a bed even if they had… one.”
Went there for 11 months when I was 10 and they had me on 13 pills and I was like a zombie and horrible staff they just make fun of u fr
Posting this for a friend...Despite all the bad reviews, my daughter was just there less than 3 months ago.And she's doing grea the staff were amazing on keeping us updated , they got her on good meds despite being told… they were not 2 put her on meds. Downside they did curse at kids and she said they were mouthy and had an attitude towards the children in most of the time. But don't separate you by gender but my daughter said they kept the horrasment down. One of the children tried to hook up with my daughter and made her feel uncomfortable , but the staff immediately separated them sending the other kid to a different hall and monitored her 2 make sure she didn't bother my daughter! She said some of the food was good some of it wasn't and they made the children at least three things off their plate before they could get a desert they gave my child red dye after being told not to! My daughters almost 13! She said she wouldn't speak 2 any of the staff because she did not want to get yelled at or get in trouble!
Over all had a good experience here whenever my daughter was sent her . The staff were nice and good about communication. Also this actually helped my daughter and to get her on the right medication
So i went here not too long ago but THIS GIRL WAS SPREADING RINGWORMS- and there was a little girl on our unit who just should have gone somewhere where they have 12 and under units. Also, the snacks were mostly things… that nobody ate, and one of the cooks, the white bald guy, made the WORST food ever!!!. we are not going to eat beans on repeat bro. The staff is pretty fine, except for two- Ms. Karin and Ms. T, who i wrote a complaint abt and i hope she got fired. The staff other than that was pretty good, but if you like vocaloids, everyone there just gets annoyed by ur music taste, so hopefully you like something else... At least you can flush the toilet the make a shower hot if its too cold and you dont just get soap in a cup. would not reccomend going here but if your family wants you too, their desicion
I want to share my experience being admitted into this place. I was roughly 13 years of age, admitted for depression and acute trauma related symptoms. The staff is extremely rude and definitely not qualified to… supervise children experiencing psychological or behavioral issues. My doctor was Dr. Nemo. This is a very sick and twisted doctor. I was prescribed meds that were extremely not necessary. I experienced a side effect of my neck being stuck one way. Went a whole day trying to tell the staff before they realized what was happening or even listened to me. I was prescribed so many pills (11 to be exact), my skin turned grey. I was told by the nursing staff that my medications were required. The nursing staff tried to inject my skin with an unknown drug that I refused. I asked my mother about it when we were allowed a visit, she said she was not aware of 90% of the drugs they were putting or trying to put in my body. This place is only focused on drugging your children and letting them walk around like zombies. They do not care to even attempt to treat the problem. Dr. Nemo, if you’re reading this, just know you’re a horrible person. I doubt this place has changed at all.
I was here about a year ago for 7 days and it was honestly a good experience for me. I made good friends and i ended up leaving with a good state of mind. The bad parts of it is I only did group therapy once and seen my… therapist twice the whole time. The food isn’t the best but if you let them know they can put you on a special diet. The rooms can get super hot at night. That was the worst part for sure. Mrs Val is the absolute best teacher there.
As much as people share their bad experiences and reviews about this place it changed my life. When I was 12 I was having bad anger issues and suicidal thoughts to the point I was scared of the harm I was causing to not… only myself but others. I came here and I asked a staff member the fastest way to get out of there cuz I was scared. He told me to just cooperate with the doctors and therapists and tell them exactly how I feel so they could help me. I seen and did some crazy shit while in there, but all in all I came out as a complete bettered version of myself and I wish I could tell the kids in there the same thing I was told. Don't fight it, just let them inside your head and take the medicine they prescribe you and it will change your life.
That are so rude a girl tried to jump me all of her little friends and the workers literally sat there and watched as I gripped her t-shirt and pulled her away from me because I did not want to get into a fight I was… trying to do easy passes get in and get out the girl comes on me just starts pouncing hitting me and I pull her away I have an anxiety attack and they literally sat there and do nothing about it I sat in the corner blood dripping down from my face they do nothing about it I have two black eyes my eyes literally dripped blood the whole time I was there I got days added and the worst part is me and that girl were in the same room and she ended up choking me in my sleep so I do not recommend going there
I was here last year for 2 weeks and when i say this place is bad.. it’s BAD!! the staff do not care about you or help at all and do NOT do their job. We barely had any treatment like groups or therapy. i saw my… therapist 2 times the entire time i was there and only 1 was a session and it was the day before i left and then when she discharged me. the food sucked and we didn’t get much food. The staff is also very rude to patients and have violated HIPAA while i was there more than once. on my last day there they also wouldn’t let me have a phone call even though it is a patient right to have a phone call as long as we are being compliant, which i was. don’t send your kids here if you want to actually get them help!
I was a patient here a few years ago and let me just say it was absolutely hell, most of the staff was rude and disrespectful towards the patients, I’ve had staff watch people get beat up and do nothing about it. Also… one night there was three girls wanting to fight me and the staff WILLINGLY left the room for 10 minutes only to come back to me having a panic attack in the corner covered in my own blood, then proceeded to sedate me because I was panicking. I also had to clean up my own blood from when I got jumped while the staff members watched. I do not recommend anyone to send anyone here.
Sending your kid to a place like this is never a fun experience. But sometimes it is a nessacery. It was scary but the employees that I interacted with made my concerns valid and explained stuff so I could understand it… the listened to my fears and helped ease them.
I went there last year. It wasn’t good. I remember that a teenage girl had choked an eight year old, and they still kept her in the same unit. A girl had to move units because she was so terrified of her roommate and… her friends trying to jump her at night. I got chased by one of the girls. She ran to me on all fours and I was terrified. I ran to the orderly and she just sat there doing nothing, and then she just left. The showers were either really cold, or really hot, most of the time cold. My roommate had a shirt gone missing and they barely did anything. These two girls would threaten everyone and try to start things just to fight, I had to befriend them so I wouldn’t get hurt. One of them ripped pages out of my friend’s journal and wrote things about her wanting to kill herself. They didn’t do anything. It’s horrible and you’re only lucky with who you get as an orderly.
I was there for 8 days after a suicide attempt in march and my friend just got out today. We both experienced the same abuse. Staff members would hit you, throw things, scream. I saw a girl try to hang herself and the… staff just laughed. I didn't see her the next morning and I have no memory of the staff ever stopping her. The place is dangerous and no one should be sent there.
My son was admitted for a week. Most of the staff is ok, my son said the nurses are grouchy and yell at you if you ask questions. My son had a reaction to his meds, during that time I had made two attempts to call since… it was his scheduled night for his call home. The nurse who answered the phone said he was standing in front of her waiting his turn for the phone. I waited an hour and called a second time. The same nurse said he had refused to call home and was sleeping. A few minutes later a different nurse called to inform me of the medication reaction, 3 hours earlier. He had been asleep for 2.5 hours and could not have been in front of the nurse nor refused his called home. Upon our return him I went to the pharmacy to get his scripts, one was not covered by his insurance. The pharmacist called to request a change in medication our insurance would cover. She was yelled at and treated rudely. Also, double check any belongings on discharge. My son was sent with an expensive backpack. I assumed it was in his clothing bag to be washed. It was not.
the staff was strict but most of them were very sweet and the nurses were the sweetest!! made my time there very enjoyable and relaxing
its okay as long as you act well you be okay yhe staff is okay but inly the weekend staff the week staff is bit iffy for me . I liked the guy who ran the boys unit but hes always grumpy but if your chill and then hes… chill he said somthint abput my bulimia like called me out whete every boy was there in the morning like sayint “ This dude is smart blah blah somthing about me building puzzles from the inside then out and quote and quote “ he does stuff that not every boy does he does stuff different somthing lien that idk it jusy felt werid witj me idk if i shpuld be offended or not bht this was in February but pretty much chill just some staff are a bit much oh and the staff talked aboit this one patient like basically like gossiping about tjem i mean like what??? But its okay i guess im usallt a good kid i was just there for my bulimia and depression dor about a week i miss the kids tho they get me
They give kids 10:00 minites undress, shower, wash hair, get dressed and brush teeth. My grandaugther has been there almost 30 days and didn;t even eat few days because food is nasty. The employees bring outside food in… and eat in front of the kids. Most female employees are very rude.
It was just really bad
