Pine Rest Christian Mental Hlth Servs – Spring Lake

I will NEVER use Pine Rest services for myself nor any of my family EVER again, and I will never suggest a person use them. Words and diagnosis got twisted and I was made to feel helpless and attacked while trying to… get my child COUNSELING! I have never felt so bombarded and pressed down on by a counseling service in my life, and I've gone through the system since I was a child. Your facility has caused me further MAJOR MENTAL TRAUMA since our visit. DO BETTER!

I've had Derek Burt for medication management for years and he always been very knowledgeable and proactive. I've got a lot of neurological things going on and he is always willing to take what my other doctors say into… account. Linda Johnson is my therapist and I cannot say enough good things. It's taken me so many years to address the traumas I've been through and I appreciate her honesty and knowledge so much. I always know that she's being real with me and that is so refreshing! The receptionists are all amazing as well. They know who I am and that is a comfort in a place you don't necessarily want to have to go.

I’ve seen Dr. Steven Hull and highly recommend him. Dr. Hull is very human, as in, he’s real. He cares about the person he is treating. He is knowledgeable and is able to quickly and thoughtfully express why he is… suggesting an idea or plan. At the same time he is a good listener. There has never been a time when I wondered if he heard what I was trying to say. He asks appropriate questions, and he is efficient. I always feel better when I leave because we have accomplished what we needed to in that visit. He has a positive outlook, and he will not compromise on his standards, which, for me, helps develop trust. He is tops in my book.

A one star is way too nice for this person!. Jorden Engelhard is the most incompetent therapist I know. Complete lack of communication. I have emailed him , called him and wrote him letters with no reply as he continued… to chase my ex wife around .I had a court ordered psych evaluation on my troubled adopted son he refused to acknowledge or give any guidance on. He ignored a professional Brains evaluation on my adopted child because it pointed out exactly what I had been concerned about! He will not give unbiased counseling services. He was to interested in chasing my ex wife around rather than focusing on the real facts of my adopted sons issues and struggles. How is he practicing in this field is beyond comprehension!! Stay away!!Very strange individual and completely unprofessional. What a quack !!Warning keep your kid away from this guy!!Keep your kid away from this guy!! Note : If there are any positive reviews they would definitely be from woman. I would suggest if you’re a woman and fit a certain criteria then he will go above and beyond for some strange unknown reason even if it’s to the childs detriment if a child is involved. Stay away

I have been seeing Jordan Engelhard for about two years, once a week. He's been extremely helpful with my anxiety disorder and my depressive disorder. I would recommend him to those looking to find validation,… reassurance, and those looking to make changes for the better.

I have NEVER felt so comfortable in therapy as I do here! Amanda is AMAZING! If you are in need of therapy, I HIGHLY recommend coming here! They treat you like a person❤️

The actual worst. Hope you don’t have to deal with Jessica. She’s awful. Always being told I’m not an exception and I’m not a priority and that other people are more important than me and my medications. Seems like an… ironic thing to tell a mental health patient. I’ll be actively looking to switch doctors, clinics, anything so that I no longer have to deal with this person or this clinic because it has been an absolute nightmare for me.

1 for 3 on following through on appointments. At least this time they gave me an hour notice instead of just not showing up for the appointment.

I’ve been going to Pine Rest now for over ten years. I used to get medication from my doctor until I switched doctors and my new doctor told me “I’m not a psychiatrist and I’d like you to see someone who knows all about… mental health.” So she referred me to Pine Rest. I love that I can see both my psychiatrist and my therapist all in one location so they can communicate with each other to do what’s best for me! I’ve never had a single issue there except with one person and I handled that by switching to someone else. The receptionists are all super friendly and helpful. The medical assistants and nurses are very kind. I recommend this place every time I know someone needs to be seen. And it’s always clean and an inviting atmosphere. Thank you all!

The most help I've had in 20 years. Up to date services and glad I made the trip from Muskegon.

I have always received a high level of care from Pine Rest and Dr. Kopanol. She listens well, asks me questions, explains things to me, and is happy to answer any questions I have. It is clean and the staff is nice. The… phones are often busy, but If I leave a message they always respond the next business day at the latest.

Too many patients to even bother to return phone calls. Seems to be a hassle to address anything. You have to leave a message for a call back because the phones are rarely answered.

They were nice but some of those nurses weren't who they seemed. I heard my friend talking about one of the nurses threatened to draw blood everyday unlesd she started eating a cooperating
