Atlanticare Behavorial Health – Atlantic City Detox and Rehab Services
Atlanticare Behavorial Health – Atlantic City is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Atlanticare Behavorial Health – Atlantic City Address, Location and Contact Information
The facility address is 13 North Hartford Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, 8401. Atlantic City sits in Atlantic County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

does mental health just not exist on sundays
if i had a thousand dollars for every time they answer the phone when you call, id still be broke
The receptionists come off a little rude. I had a great therapist and the group therapy sessions were nice. But I don't think the psychiatrist understood what I was going through at all and the medication did not help.
I started seeing Brittany at Atlantic Behavioral Health at the beginning of last summer. In the beginning, things were fine when our sessions were over Zoom. However, once appointments moved to in-person visits, my… experience began to change. Brittany was fully aware of the personal challenges I was dealing with at the time. I had been very open with her about my depression, my living situation, and the difficult circumstances I was going through in my life. One thing we had talked about was that I struggled with showing up in person, which is exactly why I was making the effort to come into the office instead of staying on Zoom. I was actively trying to be more consistent and push through that difficulty. On one particular day, I knew I was running late and informed the front desk so they could let Brittany know, since I didn’t have direct contact with her. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had already been canceled. While I understand that offices have policies about late arrivals, what happened next was very uncomfortable. I was standing at the front desk window when the staff turned to Brittany and asked if she would still take me. She scoffed and said, “I’ll take her,” and turned around, not realizing I was right there and could see and hear her. When she realized I was at the window, her demeanor noticeably changed. Once we went back into the therapy room, she suddenly became much nicer and more talkative than usual, almost as if she was trying to overcompensate. Instead of feeling supportive, it made the interaction feel awkward and disingenuous. After that appointment, I sat in my car and cried for about an hour. The situation felt incredibly disrespectful and dismissive, especially considering I was trying to push myself to show up in person despite struggling with depression and consistency. We scheduled another appointment after that, but I ended up missing it because I was going through an extremely difficult time. Instead of any kind of follow-up or concern from a therapist who knew I struggled with depression, Brittany simply dropped me as a client without ever communicating that to me. I didn’t realize I had been removed as a client until a month or two later when my father passed away and I attempted to return for support. That’s when I was told I was no longer in their system. For a mental health provider, especially when working with clients who openly struggle with depression and difficult life circumstances, compassion and communication should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported during a time when I genuinely needed help.
They will not answer the phone or voicemails left even in an emergency. I’ve been out of my psychiatric medication for over a week and every time I’ve gotten through to someone, even though they assured me that it would… get sent to the pharmacy, they have dropped the ball every time. This has led to instability and emotional turmoil, and now I can’t even get through to the office. Use this place only as a last resort
Never answers their phones, staff is rude, and i felt no sense of urgency when it came my mental health treatment when I needed a med change or a refill.
This place has literally been a nightmare. All they ever done is what ever they want and they act proud of it. After my doctor canceling on me on appointments I had to wait months for they then didn’t want to send the… medication so they ignored me until a really nice lady in the front helped me get one of his cancellations. (No thanks to her co workers) I know think the ookkkkkk
I really feel that they dont care if I live or die
Refused to fill prescriptions that were already in place for me. And went for two appointments and was never called back after checking in. Place is a complete waste of time
I have had the best experience with Atlanticare behavioral health located in Atlantic City. The staff are knowledgeable and so caring with every step that they have taken with me. My therapist were Brittany Rebecca my… psychotherapist is Dr A and they are all absolutely wonderful and caring individuals! I highly recommend attending this facility
Excellent service; the Hispanic community is well taken care of.
Place needs a zero review My wife went there cause her psychiatrist retired she needed a new one she goes there and with out her records from her Former doctor they said she needs to stop her meds they also wanted to… increase one of her meds she said her previous doctor lowered the dose cause she couldn't handle it my wife tried telling the doctor that the doctor replyd that was then this is now and tells my wife she needs to do other things and she needs therapy with out knowing her story she asked my wife has she ever been suicidal my wife said no she called my wife a liar. These people supposed to be doctors they should know you don't stop a persons meds cold it can be dangerous,,,if anything happens to my wife there will be a malpractice suite ,,, they also asking her stupid questions that has nothing to do with he needs they need to shut down This place will be reported to a review board
Good
My appointment was at 11:30am it is now 12:49 pm and they are just now saying I need to reschedule this is very unprofessional. Why would you allow me to sit here this entire time when I could be at work ? The only… reason I gave one star is because I can’t give ZERO . How can you say you value me as a patient ??
I am only giving this place a 1 because of the resident who works here who is phenomenal and very attentive and helpful. Otherwise, the actual service and front desk receptionist are filled with some of the most rude… staff I have seen. On one occasion, I brought my mom in for group therapy to which the receptionist left her to wait for 40 mins and then called me to pick her up. I was confused and went in to speak with them and at this point, is when they called the therapist and apologized and told her she could come in next time. On other occasion, we tried to get her into the online group therapy session in which they didn’t allow her access too. We waited another 30 mins. When I brought this up to the receptionist and she apologized and said if this happens again, to call and she would call the therapist to allow my mom into the meeting?? Another issue is that no one answers the phone and if you leave a voicemail, they never return your call. The receptionists are never not rude. These are just a few of the many instances we have experienced here. This place is supposed to be helping those who suffer mental health problems but is filled with the rudest people. If you are looking for a safe and welcoming space, I do not recommend this location.
The therapists and doctors are very attentive and care what you have to say and really try to help you see things clearer. They've helped me with coping skills and helped me to navigate through a tough part in my life.… It's not the easiest thing in the world, to be vulnerable around strangers but the staff really made me feel welcome and at ease. And if I needed to meet with the doctor they did all they could to get me right in.
I called in desperate need of some assistance in which a lady by the name of Megan answered so I asked if this number was the right number to link me to the access number which Megan said no this is a walk in and there… open from 9:30 to till 11 ok that needed that information as well waiting to see if she was going to asked if there were any thing else she can help me with and after she gave me the times of operation I got nothing else from her I kinda felt a little intimidated to ask questions so lead me in the right direction towards what steps or resources any to help me to get the help I needed. I felt she was real short with me, rude waiting for me to Hangup and left me not knowing who and how to reach out for help I hope this review give reviewed because she don’t know if someone is on the edge and about to hurt themselves. I’m giving me review to hope for better service and a lil compassion with the receptionists Thanks
Ais Atlantic city closed a case this person just started going there went to first appt went to 2nd and was told case cloed and no reason why when they were told person be out of medication since no one prescribed at… first only said well call 911 if needed compassion one of their “values”? they sure don’t have that right to claim it
