Enlightened Recovery – Atlantic City

Beautiful and peaceful place to begin recovery. Being right on the bay and watching sunsets creates such a calming atmosphere during probably one of the most difficult times of my life. The staff are super… compassionate, supportive, and genuine. I always recommend this detox to anyone looking for a safe and healing place to start their recovery.

I came into Enlightened's detox facility feeling completely broken, and unsure if I could even make it through the first few days. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me with genuine respect and compassion.… The nurses and medical team were on top of everything. 24hrs nursing team that really cares. Great food, breakfast made to order daily. Even during the snow storm.

I am not a first time winner, and have been through other facilities before. None have been like what I experienced at Enlightened. I tried to detox on my own from a legal drug sold on every corner, which I used to self… maintenance for my PTSD. It was horrific and I realized shortly after, I could not do it on my own, even after being Telehealth prescribed Suboxone the same day. My body was shutting down from the severe stress, I had a total nervous system collapse, and entered a withdrawal psychosis that I had never experienced before. And I was completely alone. The call center made me feel safe the moment we started communicating with the woman’s empathy, concern, and understanding. She helped me navigate getting to the treatment center, which I still don’t know how I got there successfully. I packed almost nothing from my apartment, and was graciously given items from the donation closet, and new socks to help with the leg pains. I still wear them sometimes, to remember how painful the withdrawal was, and how strong my legs have gotten since wearing them, as I literally couldn’t walk the first couple weeks from the pain and muscle atrophy. They fed me amazing food full of good stuff to help get me stronger, including delicious protein shakes as I was a walking skeleton with my cheeks sunken in. The cooks also played a role in a therapeutic sense, and filled my soul with encouragement. The counselors had their hands full with me, being I have ptsd and was in psychosis. However, they listened when I tried to articulate things I wasn’t capable of, and spoke words in ways to get me back to who I was before this drug took over. The techs helped me with hard moments, and showed compassion and patience. They are truly a solid foundation of the entire process, and treat the job as an act of service even in the high stress situations they find themselves in. Even the director Luanna played a pivotal role, helping me in a way that truly saved my life and set me on track when I wasn’t even on the train. lol. I had only planned to stay for a short time in the detox before going back home. The counselor James truly cared, but also challenged me, and I needed that. He asked me what I was willing to do, and I will never forget answering, “anything.” Because of such a solid foundation built at the detox center, I agreed and completed all phases thereafter that they suggested of me. So far, the results have been successful to achieve long term sobriety, and I do all the things they told me to do to stay clean. I am eternally grateful for them being a part of my journey and help saving my life.

Superseded my expectations wildly. This was a complete wellness retreat. The staff is amazing, kind, empathetic and also in recovery. Everyone cares about how you feel physically emotionally and spiritually. The insight… they have on what we go through is paramount and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. (I feel kind of guilty I had it so good). If you are on the fence about where to go or weather to go or not, this is your sign to check into Enlightened. Today. Everything is going to be alright. I promise.

I’ve traveled from treatment center to treatment center from the time I was 18 years old. I landed at enlightened not sure what to expect or how it would be different from any of the other 9 treatment centers I’d been… to. From the techs, staff, therapists, alumni groups I feel apart of the enlightened family and continue to be involved in everything they have to offer.

Enlightened Detox saved my life. From intake to discharge, they made an unfortunate situation into a great outcome. I never thought I would need help for my alcoholism, but I’m glad I chose Enlightened

As far as I’m concerned enlightened recovery should be the #1 rehab facility in Nj. If your considering going here, don’t hesitate! But have realistic expectations of the detox process, it’s not easy but the staff is on… 24/7 & literally there for you even if you just wanna cry about what your going through! Theyll give you comfort meds & if all you need is for them to just listen and give you that pep talk you need to get through, they’ll take the time to care & listen & be sympathetic. Kim, Bobby, & Sam were my night staff and I can’t say enough about how kind & understanding they are. Renee in intake; absolutely amazing human being! James, my counselor, I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Added onto all of that is just how clean & comfortable the facility is. The food is ahhhhhmazing! And the dr on staff gave me so much personal attention, I don’t think I could’ve kicked if I went anywhere else. I know the difficult process of picking the right place & I am 100% sure I know I couldn’t have gotten better care anywhere else. If your considering enlightened recovery, don’t hesitate. You will get the care you need at enlightened.

Enlightened Detox is a phenomenal rehab facility where my needs are accommodated and I feel like I'm at home. Detoxing off alcohol is hard, but the nurses and staff made it more comfortable in this process. If there's… any detox to send your son, daughter, friend or parent this is really the place. I have been to numerous rehabs over the last couple of years and I will say that my growth and foundation starts here. I am ready for my next chapter and look forward to living a life in sobriety starting at 27. Shout out James and Renee for making my stay here awesome. Thank you Enlightened !

Enlightened Detox Center is a wonderful facility. The counselors were knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping everyone grow. The staff and nurses were caring, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile… to make sure we felt supported and safe. The food was consistently good, and thoughtfully prepared. The groups were meaningful and well-run, providing real tools and insight instead of just surface-level discussions. Overall, Enlightened Detox Center delivered a compassionate, structured, and uplifting experience. I’m truly grateful for my time there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive place to begin their recovery.

This was the first Detox I have ever went to and it was such a wonderful experience. I was extremely nervous about coming here because this was my first time coming to any treatment facility but this place made me feel… right at home. The staff here treated me like family and made me feel welcomed. The food here as well is extremely good. This facility helped me Detox safely off the substances I was using and gave me a second chance to change my life around. I am forever greatful for this facility and all their wonderful staff. They really do care about everyone who comes through here.

My detox experience was great. While I detox I was offered classes to start my recovery. Great program and excellent counselors! Thank you for the help on staying sober!

This place was monumental in saving my life and I’m eternally grateful for the opportunities they have blessed me with. Last week I was able to travel to Costa Rica with Enlightened as a part of their new alumni abroad… program. It was one of the most amazing and unforgettable experiences of my life. I was surrounded by great people in a beautiful place filled with adventure and a lot of laughter.

Enlightened Recovery makes such a huge impact on our community! The graduates from their program are equipped with the tools needed to succeed in recovery. They learn and practice how to live a brilliant SOBER life… ahead. It is worth every penny.

This is an amazing treatment center that prioritizes their patients well being as a whole through holistic practices and therapy. The rehab priorities the family as whole with family therapy sessions. I always felt… supported and cared for while in Enligehtend solutions detox, php program, iop and sober living supports after. I was introduced to recovery communities and people who were on a similar journey was able to create meaningful connections. They’re dedicated to helping you rebuild your life.

This place is NOTHING like what it advertises. There is no conpassion in the staff (in fact almost all are still active users of some sort.) *** THIS IS JUST ANOTHER BIG-BRANCH FACILITY TRYING TO WOO YOU IN *** DONT go… here. There are hundreds of detoxes that genuinely care and want to help you. This is not one. Dont be fooled.

I went to enlightened on October 8th 2023 and I’ve been clean ever since! I’ve been in and out of detoxes and rehabs and I never really got it right cus I wasn’t serious, however I came here at my lowest I’ve ever been… in my life! I felt barely human, my drug of choice was fentanyl so you could imagine the rough shape I was in, I weighed as much as I did in middle school when I went in and I was 27 at the time, but anyways, I went in with my face looking to my feet cus I was so ashamed to even look anyone in the face and the people there were so kind the techs and nurses and staff treated me with such kindness I’ve never experienced in my life and especially the people who did my intake the one guy with the beard I forgot his name but I’ll never forget that he told me “ look at me don’t look at your feet, it’s okay bro it’s okay you don’t need to be ashamed your here and everybody here is like you too” he really welcomed me and I really appreciate that and I’ll never forget that this place got me back up got my strength back up and the beds and rooms are nice tvs in each room, even the other patience everyone was cool, nobody had a problem with anybody and the groups weren’t boring like some places might be, this was the only detox I was in every single group because it was the first time I had a good time without getting high, my casr manger and therapist were chill and took care of my disability with my job, this place is really god sent, I know it’s almost 2 years since I was there but I really had to thank them and make this review cus I don’t believe I would still be here if it wasn’t for all of them, thank you enlightened solutions I won’t waste the opportunity you guys gave me back in life thank you, Bernard M.
