Where do I start so much drama so much negativity from both clients and staff and when you try to report it they disregard everything u tell them then when u get tired of being disrespected and pop off it’s your fault… and when I tried to report to miles about the issues I was having he flipped it around onto me and I was pissed and then he called me sarcastic and I have serious mental illness and was suffering at that program and they did not gag and they made me and my gf hate each other acting like they’re relationship counselors just the lack of professionalism and straight up disrespect from Brooke penny and jamie was out of hand penny told a client your not allowed to speak in group you talk too much and Brooke always had a nasty attitude towards me and penny yelled at me for leaving group 3 mins before it ended and I left due to the room being packed and hot on top of that I was very overwhelmed like I said I have mental illness severe and they def did not take that into consideration so def do not send your loved ones here if they have mental illness or get stressed outv easily they ended up transferring me cause I spoke the truth and blamed me for their shitty staff and they never were on time with case manager appointments and the therapist I had there was always saying triggering things and not respecting my boundaries and I wanted to switch therapists and they threatened to transfer me because if it like I don’t have the right to change therapists if I’m uncomfortable and feel like my boundaries were crossed so honestly I feel like my feelings were disregarded I was mistreated for sure and miles needs to get himself together and treat his clients that are paying to be there with respect and not brush off that I’m paying to be there through my insurance which is not free to begin and the environment was so stressful it counter acted the 26 days I was there cause I was stressed the whole time I was there so thanks for not having my back and making my life harder and turning my girl from the outside not a rehab romance turn against me and hate me when they didn’t know our dynamic so thx miles your the best man
I am a spouse of an individual that just completed a 28 day inpatient treatment plan. To be honest I am not even sure how we ended up with this provider, however it ended up being a true blessing. Not only was my… husband taken good care of, I received several calls from his clinician to provide updates regarding his status, but also them checking on how I was doing and asking if I had any questions/concerns. I was also given their contact numbers in case I needed to reach them at any point. My family feels very fortunate that our Husband/father ended up at this facility.
I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another… place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.) Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion. It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea. I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days. The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again. They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings. But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself. It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice. It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
Moving Mountains Recovery is an Amazing facility. The staff who work there genuinely care about having their clients get well and offer so much support to the families. I highly recommend this facility.
Great staff, great program. Just overall wonderful community to be apart of
We had to send my friend to treatment and they helped us with the intervention and they were so incredible to work with from start to finish. It’s been 6 months and my friend is doing SO WELL and she’s so happy she went… here
This place is a great place if you know anybody that suffering from drug addiction. They are very professional, caring and friendly with their patients. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you are struggling with addiction… and get the help that you need.
Without doubt the best recovery for drugs & alcohol facility in New Jersey highly recommended
From the moment you step foot into Moving Mountains Recovery in Randolph, New Jersey, you can tell that this is not your average treatment facility. Every single detail of the space has been carefully designed with… purpose and care, from the warm, modern décor to the peaceful surroundings that immediately put you at ease. The atmosphere feels more like a luxury retreat than a clinical environment, and the attention to detail is absolutely stunning. Every room, every common area, and every outdoor space reflects a deep understanding of comfort, healing, and serenity. But as beautiful as the facility is, what truly makes Moving Mountains stand out is the staff and the treatment itself. The compassion, professionalism, and expertise of the team here are on another level. Every therapist, counselor, and support staff member genuinely cares about each individual who walks through the door. The therapy programs are comprehensive and deeply impactful, blending evidence-based treatment with holistic healing that helps clients rebuild their lives from the inside out. In short, the facility is breathtaking, but the staff and treatment are what truly make Moving Mountains Recovery a life-changing place. They have created an environment where people do not just get sober, they learn to thrive.

When our family member was struggling with addiction, we felt completely lost. We didn’t know who to trust or where to turn — until we found Moving Mountains Recovery. From the very first phone call, their team treated… our family with genuine compassion, patience, and respect. What stood out most was how personalized their approach was. They didn’t just focus on getting our loved one “clean” — they focused on rebuilding a life worth living. The combination of therapy, structure, and activities that build confidence and purpose made all the difference. We saw real growth week after week. The staff communicated with us throughout the process, helping us understand addiction and how to support recovery in a healthy way. Today, our family member is sober, stable, and hopeful for the first time in years. We can honestly say Moving Mountains Recovery helped save a life — and gave our entire family a second chance at peace. We’ll always be grateful.
Moving Mountains is a great place to recover. The staff is truly supportive and caring. I recommend them to anyone who is seeking help for themselves or a loved one.
