Hannick Hall – Newark Detox and Rehab Services
Hannick Hall – Newark appears on the register for residential treatment and sober living. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Transitional accommodation appears on the record for the period after intensive treatment. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Hannick Hall – Newark Address, Location and Contact Information
The facility address is 407 East Union Street, Newark, New York, 14513. This address falls in Wayne County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Hannick Hall – Newark Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Hannick Hall bring together what patients, families and referring professionals have said about the facility, on RehabSeekers and around the web. Individual experiences differ, so read more than one.
I went there and not only was I kicked out for something another girl did that was in my room, my brother went to pick up my belongings when I was dropped off at the jail and guess what? They stole all of my things the… brand new comforter set my mother had mailed me, my clothes shoes, even the stuffed animal I have had since I was a toddler. The main counselor on the bottom floor can’t remember her name had absolutely no explanation as to where my things went and on top of that that one lesbian or transgender that led the group walks yeah talk about picking favorites … what a joke that place is so unprofessional. I relapsed many times after they falsely accused me of something my room mate did and then kicked me out violated my parole and sent me back to prison thanks a lot !
My experience at Hannick Hall has been deeply disappointing, especially as a woman of color. The program fosters an environment that feels racially biased and unwelcoming. Any time I respectfully addressed issues with… staff misconduct, including their failure to uphold policies fairly, I was accused of "bullying." It’s clear that constructive criticism is neither welcomed nor acted upon. The treatment of Black employees and clients is appalling—they are often disregarded and disrespected. The hypocrisy within the program is staggering. Staff members openly drink on the job while preaching sobriety to clients, which is not only disrespectful but also undermines the credibility of the program. One of my biggest regrets was bringing my daughter, into this environment. Hannick Hell (rather than hall) is not a healthy or safe place for children. New admits have brought in drugs, which creates a dangerous atmosphere, yet nothing is done to address these serious breaches. For those navigating court proceedings regarding their children, Hannick Hall adds further harm by making false allegations to CPS, causing unnecessary stress and setbacks. The program also seems to actively hinder progress. When clients are ready to move forward, they delay the process, then attempt to push women into unsafe living arrangements. Despite this, I’ve remained sober—but that is solely due to my own hard work and determination, not the program’s efforts. While I am grateful for having a roof over my head, the toxic environment created by unprofessional staff and a lack of genuine support has made this experience far from rehabilitative. The peer advocate and staff do more harm than good. Their actions degrade women rather than help them overcome their struggles, creating an oppressive rather than empowering atmosphere. Hannick Hall has failed to fulfill its purpose, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone seeking true recovery and support. Honestly the program is all about money and they don't care what happens to clients. There praying on their downfall
I was there from 11/16-6/17. I wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for Hannick Hall. It changed drastically just after I graduated... when insurance and big pharma took over and got rid of the heart and soul of that… place, claiming she "wasn't qualified". She was more than qualified. Shame on Catholic Charities for chasing money instead of the real well being of women who suffer from addiction and their children.
I've been here twice unfortunately and it is an absolutely horrific place. They do not care about helping addicts and actually go out of their way to tear families apart. You may survive if you go alone but DO NOT bring… your child unless you want CPS to end up taking them.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR SOBRIETY AND YOUR LIFE. THEY PUSH YOU BACKWARDS. TRUST ME!!! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU REALLY DON'T CARE.:NOT ONE POSITIVE THING TO SAY AND I HAVE LETTERS FROM 6 OTHER WOMEN… STATING THEIR EXPERIENCE HERE. THIS PLACE IS BEING REPORTED!!
Horrible place. I was there very briefly a few years ago for alcohol addiction. But the couple of days I was there I felt like I was in a different world. The place is so run down and dark, depressing. I felt like I was… isolated completely from other patients and the staff never cared about what I had going on. Neverrrrr go here or send your loved ones here
Try getting a hold of anyone at this facility!! The constant lack of efficiency when it comes to just answering the phone leads one to wonder what in the world people are doing away from their work area! There are… plenty of people who are qualified to answer the telephone. This facility needs to hire one!!
