Gaudenzia Inc – Bristol Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Gaudenzia Inc – Bristol providing detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

I just escaped from there. By the grace of God, I'm alive!! Never been to a recovery or rehab horrible experience with their detox week. They told me 5 days ended up their a week! I drink here and there. They wanted to… put me on detox meds that almost killed me raised my pressure so high I could have died!! They kept telling me I was having a panic attack when they checked my pressure. It was almost at 200 over 120 and she's telling me it's not an emergency!! I know my body well and it's not a panic attack. The blood pressure said it all. They will not let me go to the hospital. They will keep you hostage and tell you it's part of your detox! Mostly all the staff gets high. From what I can see they feed you pills Day and night. Have you looking like a zombie that is not recovery in my eyes! When I refused their Ativan I'm telling them I don't feel good and they will force it on you even if you were to die! I was strong enough to fight get off that detox drug ASAP and it took me 48 hours before my blood pressure started to go back down. They do not check your blood pressure. Monitor you when you stop taking the detox drug which is deadly!! They need to shut these people down. They have fake nurses that do not care!! They take your phone and barricate you in there like a hamster in a cage and keep you pilled up so you don't know what's going on! But I'm smarter and stronger than that and left on my own to save my life and refuse to live off pills and lies!! They're just after your insurance and how long you stay there. They could care less about your the quality of life!!

First off I was given a phone number of an employee who worked there she said call anytime but it was a Google voice number ,first she was advocating for me to tell my husband to make sure I take something before I go… there to do assessment, and I had to come back the next day to do intake so she asked my husband please just don't leave her sick . So I to a place they sent me in Harrisburg the girls where nothing but bullies,

Kim, one of the “higher ups”, completely violated HIPAA when contacting a member of my family (spitefully, might I add) to disclose treatment information. I never sat down with this woman one time during my stay here.… She also refused to let me re-enter treatment upon leaving, even though I watched her immediately re-admit at least one other client. I am talking to malpractice attorneys and will be filing a lawsuit against Gaudenzia. Kim needs to be fired, I have three techs and a nurse as witnesses.

When I brought my brother here I was told that there were no beds available I explained to them that if my brother leaves here he will be dead tomorrow and so we will wait in the waiting room until a bed opens up I… don’t care if we have to sleep in the waiting room we’re not leaving! About 3 hrs later we were filling out forms and getting him a bed this place saved my brothers life!!! The staff were amazing Bob is the coolest Ms.Denise is amazing! My brother went in on 12/28/22 and today 1/8/24 and he is still clean healthier than ever working and living his best life with his family (I’m in tears) THANK YOU FOR SAVING HIS LIFE!!! My brother Kristian loves y’all!! I don’t understand the reviews at all and I’m sorry y’all feel that way but your experience shouldn’t hinder anyone else from getting help simply contact them personally to have changes made instead of spewing hate on here to others who are looking for help and a new life for themselves our loved ones I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the reviews GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

This place is a complete JOKE. It deserves NEGATIVE STARS. If I didn't have to put a star to write a review I wouldn't have. The staff hasn't the first clue what recovery is about. They are manipulate, rude, negative,… ignorant, and straight up disgusting individuals. Staff steals from the clients that come there. Staff violates HIPPA laws, and ruins people's recoverys intentionally. They are prejudice and do not have the clients best interest at heart. It's a little shoe box hole in the wall with one hallway and yet you can never meet with your counselor. This place is no help to the community it's the problem. In my opinion this place should be entirely shut down. I do not recommend that anyone goes here. It will not be beneficial for you.

It is what you make it. My hat goes off to the staff at this facility. The place is small and doesn’t have any of the perks most “rehab vets” are used to. Your day is structured and the programming is intense. Just the… stuff that this alcoholic needed in order to focus on recovery. People complain about all sorts of irrelevant issues and loose sight of why they really are there. Super kudos to the nursing staff (nurse G., Bob, Meredith, and all others); tech staff (Mr. Steve, Arnold, Kirk, Laura, and all others; and my wonderful, motivating, and knowledgeable counselor Ms. Donna. BTW: Denise, you’re pretty awesome too, as well as all the other great staff I did not mention. If you are not looking for a vacation, and you are serious about your recovery, this place will work for you. All due to the dedication and commitment of the staff.

The truth is, a lot of people that require the services this location offers aren’t gonna give a 5 star because it’s a structured environment, some people don’t like rules. My time there as a client wasn’t like a… vacation and I had to put work in and this location was there for me every step of the way and over a year later I became an employee which I also enjoyed very much. All I’m saying is I been free from all substances since June 18, 2017 and Gaudenzia Lower Bucks was my last stop. It is what you make it

I'm 13 days out of detox at Gaudenzia Lower Bucks, which I was hesitant to do because of the reviews here, but I just don't understand them. I had the best experience here. I loved all of the staff there, along with… everyone there detoxing or for rehab. The director, intake, kitchen staff, counselors, and everyone else were amazing. The Nursing staff is EXCEPTIONAL! The staff and everyone going through it with you were always so quick to help. Some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. I'm sorry not everyone had the wonderful experience we all did, but those reviews are much older, that's all I can comment on that. If you're out there hurting, please give it a chance. If it's so horrible, no one is going to force you to stay. Just reading this means you're ready to take that step. If you see me on the street and have questions, by all means, approach me. Good luck! 1💘

Do yourself a favor and make sure you get placed elsewhere upon intake. Due to the lack of beds and an 8 week waiting list at the local shelter this is the best option for the homeless struggling with drug/alcohol… addiction. Sad to say but if it wasn't for the phenomenal nursing staff and the few proactive counselors and techs employed I wouldn't even be able to rate this place. The only kitchen/cleaning staff employed is the cook who verbally abuses the Patients, so the Patients are responsible for cleaning the building and serving the little bit of food supplied. Upper management corruption is undoubtedly a major issue. Patients obviously in need of higher care are being accepted just to fill beds and that's not only unethical but inhumane. Excercise and a nutritional balanced diet are extremely important in early recovery but this is not an option. I am truly grateful to be separated from the drink and the drug today but this place needs to be investigated. Thank you all who took the time to read this. We Do Recover!!

This place is not a place to go. They are miserable, no compassion or at least professional. They say can you come back tomorrow!???! They don't even want to do the assessment. Tomorrow can be too late. Detox is… dangerous. Don't go there.

Don’t get me wrong! The place has some great souls in there. And I am blessed that I got to meet some of these people! Because some REALLY do care. It can definitely use some improvement, but what business can’t? The… ONLY problem I had in there is the Nurse name Bob!! Smh. He is Unethical, lacks empathy and really does not belong in a job setting such as this one here! He is the ONLY reason why I will NOT give 5 stars!! Other than that, thanks for the wonderful help you guys provide. Hopefully you can change many more lives.

Absolute worst treatment facility I have ever been to in my life, I’ve received better treatment in a county jail. Only spent 48 hours here and they even managed to give me COVID before I left.

Staff as soon as we walked in the door discouraged us from being seen. Said they were swamped. There were only 5 patients in the facility. First told us to leave a number and they will call in the morning to do the… assessment over the phone. Told them we would prefer to do it while here. We then got paperwork to take out to our car because we couldn’t sit in the waiting room because of Covid. We filled out the paperwork and brought it back inside. Was discouraged once again to do a phone interview the next morning. Told them no we will wait out in the parking lot in our car. Less than 5 minutes later staff came out to say they do not except the person’s insurance to go to the one on Springarden Street. We were aware that this was incorrect information and asked to see the supervisor. She came out and apologized and said that he person who told us the incorrect information was new and didn’t know any better. So that was at 6pm. It is now 11:30 pm and we are still sitting in the parking lot waiting to complete the assessment. We asked twice when we would be seen and was told we were next. That was over 2 hours ago. It is not crowded. There are 3 people here waiting. One said they were here since 1:30 pm. My complaint is... IF YOU ARE NOT IN THIS FIELD TO HELP OTHERS’S THAN FIND A DIFFERENT JOB!!!!! Period!!!!
