If you have Dr. Pumphry Ruiz as you physiatrist and have issues with panic and anxiety attacks due to severe trauma and ptsd. I pray you do not have any other medical issues because she will treat you as a drug seeker.… She will refuse your regular medicine because of a prescription given by a neurosurgeon for an UNRELATED issue because she insinuates you will misuse the medication. I have been with her for 3 years almost and I have NEVER EVER misused my medication and have ALWAYS been open about what is prescribed by others and STILL to this day she treats me like a drug user and seeker. I’m a medical professional I know what I can and can’t take together and it is humiliating and completely disgusting to be disregarded and spoken to as if I am ignorant and untrustworthy. This is not the first time this facility has failed either 3 years later and I dread going to these appointments to be made to feel small disregard and belittled. I have been on the same meds for YEARS! Never slipped up never broke trust. I will never go back to this place and allow her to treat me. I pray for all her other patients that they do not get treated with such disregard and distrust the way I have for YEARS! The ONLY good about this place is the receptionist and the one therapist I saw but will no longer see because I refuse to ever be talked down to or treated like this ever again.

This place is horrible. They go behind your back and take it upon themselves to act out on. I understand sometimes. But then not to notify the mother. Especially when you are calling the cops. Duh hello. We are parents… and I have my rights. Stop putting or adding things

I would not recommend going to this office at all. I have had 3 appointments now with providers at this office where each time I’ve had to remind them of my chief complaint as they focused on something else. Then when I… finally saw the nurse practitioner, Jacqueline Toal, when I had to remind her again that my concerns were not the focus and path they were taking with my care. She used something I told her in my hobbies as reasoning for degrading my diagnosis from my PCP, told me I just needed more sleep, and became argumentative when I expressed concern for how disheartening it feels to not be heard and listened to by the mental health providers in this office. She continued to speak down on me and backing me into a corner acting as if I was making this issue up and it wasn’t previously diagnosed by a Dr elsewhere. I have never left a doctors appointment feeling so small and disregarded and in tears. I left planning on attempting to continue care and to work through it but I ultimately decided to call back and cancel all services with this company. When I did this the receptionist asked if it was another provider which leads me to believe this is a common complaint at this practice. The receptionist and the assistant Christian were the only saving grace this office has. I HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else where the providers actually care about their patients and their jobs- I’ve never had this issue like this from a MENTAL HEALTH provider anywhere else.

I have been a client at sinnissippi centers for a very long time off an on. I've had quite a few counselors. When the Byron office opened, I transferred there from the Oregon office and switched counselors. They told me… that Brandon would be my new counselor. I was very very hesitant having a male counselor. However, I'm so grateful for him and thankful that I gave him a chance. I feel sooo very comfortable with Brandon and I literally can talk to him about anything and everything more than I ever did with a female counselor. Brandon remembers who I am and my story without having to go through files and paperwork before or during my appointment. He gives me constructive criticism, he makes me feel validated and important. I enjoy my sessions with Brandon and look forward to each appointment I have with him. I highly recommend Brandon as a counselor to anyone seeking help! 10 out of 10 stars! Brandon, you're amazing and ty so much for doing what you do and making an impact in my life and I'm sure many other's!
