Won’t even get a chance to step foot in the facility as I was canceled on 5 days before my first appointment. What a disgusting way to treat in need first time patients.

My wife was interrogated over a $300 payment while checking in for her weekly appointment during the final weeks of her pregnancy. She is nine months pregnant, and we have consistently made our scheduled payment-plan… payments. Due to a processing error with one scheduled payment, however, we were required to have a phone call with the accounting department and were treated as though we were people who simply refuse to pay their bills. Theda has received tens of thousands of dollars from us and our insurance throughout this pregnancy, so being treated this way over a $300 payment was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. I have personally witnessed people who came in without insurance and simply stated that they did not have coverage receive what appeared to be better treatment than we received as paying patients. This experience was unacceptable. Shame on the accounting department for the way this situation was handled. After this experience, we will be switching providers. I should mention however, the staff outside of billing has been excellent. I strongly recommend staying clear of this facility.

Had surgery for my perforated appendix, they are insisting on charging on inpatient status despite the fact that I didn't meet the criteria (I went home in less than 48 hours, had no abnormal vital signs or… complications) consequently insurance has denied and I have to pay out of pocket. The billing staff is awful, they are rude and not at all helpful

I am incredibly grateful for many members of the team who made a difficult time much easier. Dr. Mihiladis, Charissa Williams, Ashlei in the lab, Shanda at check-in, and infusion nurses Jacs and Rachel consistently… treated me with kindness, compassion, professionalism, and respect. Their care made a meaningful difference in my cancer treatment experience. Unfortunately, my overall experience was affected by several concerning interactions. One nurse repeatedly commented on my prognosis in a way that made me uncomfortable and also made inappropriate, negative generalizations about Native American people. I also found an inaccurate and upsetting statement documented in my medical record, and despite reaching out about my concerns, I experienced delayed and incomplete follow-up. In addition, I received no communication regarding the results of an ultrasound until I asked about them at a later appointment. Cancer care requires not only excellent medical treatment but also respectful communication, cultural sensitivity, accurate documentation, and timely follow-up. While I remain deeply thankful for the outstanding clinicians and staff who cared for me, I hope this feedback encourages improvements so that every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their treatment.

My husband had a 10 foot fall from a ladder at work on April 9th and he was taken to this hospital as it was the nearest one to the job site he was at. The nursing staff was pretty quick to answer his calls when he… needed them which is why I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. As someone who has dealt with a different hospital where overnight nursing staff let him go without pain meds overnight for a 12 hour period having compassionate nursing staff who actually cares for my husband when I can't be there is worth it's weight in gold. The hospital definitely dropped the ball on communication with me as well as the workman's comp nurse case manager who is responsible for being the liason between the care team and the workman's comp claim processor. His chart was noted I had concerns about transport home given he is in an external fixator and has to keep his leg straight and we live over 70 miles away and don't have a vehicle to accommodate for that. Despite my concerns they just released him right into my care. I was never informed of PT/OT appointments so that I could be there for training on how to help him safely manage a flight of 14 stairs to get to our main bedroom and the only bathroom with a shower. As far as I know the only doctor he ever saw while he was there was in the ER and a brief chat with the surgeon before his external fixator and now he is going back for surgery on 4/20 and we don't even know what the plan is. I submitted a formal written complaint to the hospital about the many things that went wrong during his first admission and to be completely honest I'm concerned about leaving him there for another visit. This time we won't be navigating stairs if we can avoid it as I have ordered a hospital bed for the main level that the doctor prescribed. I am having good luck with the orthopedic staff at least but that's a different review.

They employ Doctors who publicly state they will not give proper care to patients with opposing views. I contacted them directly to discuss and was ignored.

I had surgery there recently. I have a complaint about the pre-operative process. I do have a compliment on the post-op too. The two nurses that did the pre-op it seemed like, well the one that tried to do the IV on my… left arm blew it…..twice. The other one that was doing the stuff on the computer (Teri), well, it sounded like she said the one that blew my veins that she knew there was going to be a problem when she saw me. So, I don't know if she was talking about me (didn’t she figure that I’d hear her?) and how can she just tell by looking at me, without looking at my arms. I don't know why there would have been a problem either because I had at least 64 oz of water the day before, in addition to my tea and three servings of chicken broth and 1 1/2 servings of Gatorade. I have never had an IV on the back of my arm. It's always been on the inside of my arm or on the back of my hands. So, I'm not sure why they said 'there's better veins there'. Well, obviously not if the one nurse blue both veins and the other one complained about how I looked. The 1st nurse slapped me very hard on the arm, too. I will say, however, that the postop nurse, Ella, that was my discharge nurse…..she was great. She was very helpful, So maybe she needs to teach the preop nurses. Also, it seemed like the Teri wasn't quite sure what she was doing because she said something about not being sure what they needed for what she needed to do. It seemed like she didn't quite know what they needed for the type of surgery I was having? Not very happy with how pre-op went. My arm as looked horrible for the past week too. Here a few progression pics of it. Also, I tried contacting patient relations, but have heard nothing back, so I guess they don't care.

Nurses were ALL fantastic. I had a c-sec and had a great experience. The rooms are very very small, and that is the only downside.

If I could give this hospital lower than one star I would. This hospital has some of the rudest staff members that I have ever encountered. From the unhelpful nursing and support staff to the doctors that are… dismissive. This is the shining example of what happens when management doesn't hire quality staff, they hire what's left over. I have and will continue to drive the 15 minutes out of my way to go to another hospital rather than the 4 minute drive here.

I am pregnant and have been taking nausea medication along with an anti anxiety med. I started to get extreme muscle tightening in my shoulders, neck and jaw to the point that my face was contorted and paralyzed. Was… there for about 5 hours to be told that it was TMJ. Sent me home, still at a 9 for pain and after my dad and I objected. Monday comes along and now my arm is extremely tight to the point I can barely use it and extreme brain fog. OB suggests I go back to the ER. Which was hard to do since they wasted my time the first time. I get back in a room and in a very short amount of time a new Doc comes in and knows exactly what’s wrong with me. I’m sent home perfectly fine within an hour. What I ended up having could have killed me if left untreated. It was a pretty “easy” diagnosis if they would have just really looked and listened to what I was telling them. Extremely disappointed in this ER. Thank God for that second Doctor or I might be dead.

Very easy parking; good hallway labeling and wall signs. At first glance, you do not see the 5th&6th floors until you get off the elevators. The room view is a picturesque window framed(like a wall painting) with ducks… and geese moving on the pond waters.

I didn't get seen at the hospital. My daughter was brought in with a gun shot wound on Christmas night. They took very good care of her until she passed. They made sure we were ok. Any questions we had they answered to… the best of their availability. They even cried when she passed and even held me ,her mom when they told me she was no longer with us anymore. They even sat with me when I went over paperwork with the Organ donation crew. They made sure she was as comfortable as she could be. So I want to say a great big thank you to the ICU nurses that worked the weekend of Christmas night thry the December 30th.

Here for cancer care so far… not impressed at all. Sad of the lack of options i have in this area!! I got stuck with Theta care as Froedtert is my main doctor and they don’t have much up here!! From screwing up my port… surgery it’s literally horrible compared to the old one I had in at the Carbone Cancer center that was perfect!! To palliative care I am not satisfied at all and will be asking for a different recommendation considering there’s only one provider she keeps pushing Certain Meds that aren’t really appropriate the more research I do. She will discuss certain medications with me and say she’s prescribing them and then I will get home and it’s a completely different medication that she sends in!! Usually something useless!! Very very unhappy. The nurses that do infusions are great but other than that Everything else is terrible!!

Customer service really suck. Nobody said youd have to check in on the first floor, for aylward endoscopy. I checked in on my ThedaCare app and the kiosks and was told to go back down and register again. Why do I have… to do things 3 different times. Everything should work the same for every building.

Terrible care. Discharge of a patient with brain bleed and confusion doesn't talk to family but to the patient whose cognizant skills is around a toddler. Would never recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Awful,… nonprofessional and care very substandard. Never again. Plus had to take patient to another facility for improvement of care and stability. Thank God we have a review team for poor patient care and review of patient chart. This will be reviewed

After two tests and one three-hour long emergency operation (at MIDNIGHT no less) she was recovering on the 6th floor, where she remained for four days. The nurses and doctors were all AMAZING; they were attentive,… listened to her concerns, and were extremely professional. We could not be happier with the care she received at the hospital, doctors and nurses are all ANGELS. And this was during Thanksgiving week!

I was left in recovery after surgery and ignored for 2 1/2 hrs. Could get help to go the the bathroom. In my room no one from surgery team checked on me until I was ready to be discharged. The nurses were very slow and… helping me and often said they were going to get something I need and never got it .I could go on but I would never go back to this hospital. Very poor care and attitudes. I felt like it was neglect because I'm an old man and my care was not as important.

I have had many family members be in this hospital, and can honestly say that this is one of the best there is around this area. The most recent loved one was actually my husband. Back in March of this year, he started… developing severe, debilitating pain in his abdomen on his right side. We made the unfortunate mistake of going to another hospital in the area that falsely diagnosed him with something else, and they did absolutely nothing but pump him full of morphine and play guessing games for months. Never did any scans that would actually see the problem. However, when his symptoms returned in July, I brought him here to Theda immediately. Dr. Jacob Minor is truly a hero, and we owe him my husband’s life. He found an abscess near my husband’s pancreas that would have killed him if it would have exploded. He found this in 2 days, something the other place couldn’t figure out in months. He referred us to another wonderful doctor, Dr. John Bosco at Aurora who successfully removed the abscess and saved my husband. Dr. Minor was also able to connect my husband’s reoccurring pancreas issues to his gallbladder, and removed that for him as well. Thank you Doctor Minor, and the very caring staff at Theda! You all saved my husband and we could not be more grateful!
