I sought treatment because I was struggling with severe mental health challenges, including depression, loss of interest, lack of motivation, and difficulty functioning normally. During one of the hardest periods of my… life, I struggled with daily responsibilities, self-care, and finding the motivation to get through each day. I felt vulnerable and was looking for guidance, support, understanding, and help making sense of what I was experiencing. One of the most difficult aspects of my experience involved how my personal beliefs and spiritual views were handled. I openly discussed topics such as spirituality, personal growth, and the meaning I found in 11:11 while trying to better understand myself and what I was going through. Rather than feeling respected or having an open conversation, I felt that these beliefs were automatically viewed as evidence that something was wrong with me. What affected me most was not a disagreement about my beliefs, but how I felt I was treated because of them. During a time when I was actively seeking help, I felt judged, dismissed, and disrespected. I felt that a psychiatrist spoke to me in a manner that was unprofessional, degrading, and deeply hurtful, leaving me feeling humiliated and invalidated rather than supported. I was not asking anyone to agree with my beliefs. I was asking to be heard. I wanted help understanding my experiences, separating what was helpful from what was harmful, and navigating a difficult period in my life. Instead, I often felt that my concerns were dismissed before they were fully understood. What made this especially confusing was that 11:11 is discussed by mental health organizations, support groups, recovery programs, behavioral health providers, motivational speakers, and others as a symbol of hope, awareness, recovery, reflection, and personal meaning. Whether people agree with those beliefs or not, I believe patients should be able to discuss them without feeling judged, ridiculed, or labeled. I often left appointments feeling unheard, misunderstood, frustrated, and discouraged. While I was frequently encouraged to focus on exercise and lifestyle changes, I felt that the seriousness of my symptoms was not fully addressed. I needed a more individualized approach that focused on the challenges affecting my ability to function day to day. Mental health treatment should be a place where patients feel safe discussing their thoughts, beliefs, questions, and concerns without fear of ridicule or judgment. Providers do not have to agree with every belief a patient holds, but they should listen with professionalism, empathy, dignity, and respect. Looking back, I do not feel that I received the improvement I was hoping for. I believe I needed more collaboration, more attention to my symptoms, and a greater willingness to explore different approaches when existing treatments were not producing results. This review reflects only my personal experience. My intention is not to attack anyone, but to honestly share how my treatment affected me. I hope all patients are treated with compassion, respect, and understanding, and are made to feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their path toward recovery.
My mental health is DECLINING, and I give ALL MY THANKS to my psychiatrist I'm seeing NOW, and the psychiatrist I was seeing BEFORE. They don't care about my mental, so why do I care for then ALSO? The only person that… did care about my well-being is the nurse and my psychiatrist I was seeing before she lefted. When a psychiatrist don't LISTEN and LIES it's a RED FLAG for me.
Truly incredible place. They care about healing, not just maintenance. Nearly everyone I have encountered there has been a staple in my mental health journey. Alexis, Jennifer, and other ladies at the front desk are so… warm and kind. Katerina the employment specialist is a breath of fresh air and will do anything she can to help. Dr. Ebert is qualified and cares. Kevin the therapist is a gem of a person. A total blessing, as an actual trauma therapist he helped me more in 2 sessions than the previous therapist here did in thirty sessions. Cannot recommend this place enough.
They did the best they can of keeping me from losing my insanity but well guss what I'm still losing my Sanity.....(😵💫)
My counselor kept getting changed when I was here and when I moved I was told I would be transferred and the clinic they transfer me to would contact me to schedule. I called here to make sure the transfer was done… because it had been a month and I had heard nothing and someone closed my patient account and didn't have the decency to even let me know so that I could start the process of getting established somewhere new myself. Not everyone there cares about your mental well being. I dont know who was responsible for this happening, but completely unprofessional.
It took 7 months for them to let me speak to a medical professional and when I finally saw Dr Ebert he told me I'm too attractive and well put together to feel what I was seeking treatment for. A year I begged for… treatment and did not get it. I am so glad I moved away!
This place is a joke.
