Stop touting your program on "2 years of outcome data". That's not impressive. Edit: I'm not seeing any reported data past discharge. This would be important for parents to know, right?
Did not help me at all and I was there for a year. Complete waste of money and time DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE
New Haven is a wonderful program and we are thankful for all of the work they did with us during our time there. I would recommend New Haven to other families who are struggling and needing a higher level of care… compared to IOP.
Amazing campus! Great staff!
As a professional in the industry, I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful facility. The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings,… explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. I loved the "adopt a cat" program and the equine services that they offer to their students. It was clear that their mission was to provide excellent treatment to their clients, aiming to set them up for success upon leaving.
The team is very warm and welcoming. They are very professional and passionate about helping kids grow and develop.
, I might prefer frostbite to the neglect and abuse I endured at New Haven. New Haven’s biggest issue was severe understaffing, often leaving just one male staff member to supervise a house of 12 girls. One staffer, who… had previously been accused of inappropriate behavior, was transferred to my campus where he continued his behavior towards several girls. Despite more and more allegations coming to light he wasn’t fired due to the staffing shortages. Staff who genuinely cared left quickly, often telling students they felt pushed out by other staff and the higher up’s. This allowed incidents like assault, self harm, running away, and drinking perfume to happen constantly. Food was always short and all of us constantly complained of hunger leading to the fruit bowl being taken away as well. Meals were so small that one staff member paid out of pocket to buy all 16 of us proper meals. Medical care was also neglected repeatedly. After needing a root canal due to Open Sky refusing to send me to a dentist, I was denied soft foods, accused of faking the pain, and often I ended up without food. Therapists were often unlicensed and unprofessional. Self injury was dismissed unless severe, teaching me it “wasn’t a problem unless it could kill me.” My therapist often forgot sessions and past discussions. Most peers relapsed or worsened after leaving with some taking their own lives. The program allowed bullying, with “higher level” students abusing their “status” to bully others. Physical fights were common due to the constant unchecked bullying. New Haven is an abusive program that left me worse off and forced me to mature in ways that no teen should. I write this urging parents to look into any other possible option because New Haven will always be the wrong choice. Please do not choose to willingly traumatize your child for $500 a day. I promise the only thing New Haven cares about is the money in your pocket.
New Haven saved our daughter's life. The program pairs decades of therapeutic expertise with patience and love. It takes time, but it works. Meanwhile our daughter was safe at New Haven and that gave us all the space we… all needed to heal.
So grateful for the work that happened here that helped our family grow.
We were in a desperate situation with our kid, and chose New Haven after doing a lot of research, and I am so glad we did. All of the staff (admin, educational, residential, therapeutic) were exceptionally patient,… compassionate, phenomenal with ALL of the students. The parent support was also super helpful to our growth & healing. Highly recommend New Haven RTC to any family that is in crisis.
The amazing team at New Haven Residential Treatment Center are some of the most compassionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable professionals in the field. The staff truly cares about the well-being of each individual,… going above and beyond to create a supportive, nurturing environment. They have a deep understanding of the unique needs of the families they serve and offer a well-rounded, holistic approach to healing and growth.
We have had the pleasure of working with New Haven on a professional level for many years and continue to be impressed by their organization. The staff at New Haven are dedicated, compassionate, and highly organized. The… campus itself is beautifully designed with an open, welcoming environment that resonates well with the youth. Any time we have interacted with a student on campus or in their natural daily lives, they seem emotionally balanced and content. In today’s world, it truly takes a village to raise a child. Visit the campus and experience firsthand the positive atmosphere and dedication of the team at New Haven.
Our situation was complex, to say the least. We were in crisis. The team at New Haven diverted that crisis and gave my daughter the feeling that she could succeed at life. It's not magic -- there's a lot of work… involved and, like anything, you get out what you put in. But I don't want to think about what would have happened had we not ended up at New Haven. After she transitioned, she graduated with honors from high school, and was accepted to all her colleges of choice. Again, there is no magic wand, but I can't overstate the importance New Haven has been to her (our) healing journey.
Our daughter spent 12 months at New Haven and it was 100% worth our time and money. We got our daughter back-more precious than gold! We all changed through the process and learned from one another. The staff,… therapists, nurses, doctor, and teachers all played valuable roles in her care and treatment. They were fantastic! They’re like family now! I highly recommend New Haven to anyone whose daughter is struggling with self harm or suicidal ideation. We gave them our trust and they earned it.
Exceptional staff and facilities.
Love New Haven! Great staff :)
New Haven at Saratoga Springs was instrumental in my daughter's triumph over mental health challenges. She attended New Haven twice. The first experience was not as helpful. It's all about how your daughter connects… with the staff and how her readiness go grow. This time was incredibly productive. Thanks to New Haven she is a high school graduate.
I have been fortunate enough to have visited New Haven many times and have known many of their staff for over 11 years. They are a great group of people that are committed to creating a healthy and loving environment… for students to heal and grow.
Had a wonderful experience at New Haven Spanish Fork. Worked with some amazing therapists and care takers that went above and beyond working with us. It’s always a difficult transition regardless for your child, but is… worth it in the end. We met lifelong friends as well and had many bonding experiences over the time we were there. The school was fantastic and The teachers care about their students and gave them support at all times. There are animals on location and a wonderful care taker that works with the girls and the animals. Each girl is given responsibilities to help support others and the home they live in. We had many parents weekends and camping trips that I’ll never forget. Again, great bonding time with your child and others. We left New Haven with a tool box full of knowledge on how to support one another and take care of ourselves moving forward.
