About A Connecting Pointe – Olathe
A Connecting Pointe operates from 302 South Clairborne Road in Olathe. The site sits in Johnson County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Lenexa, Overland Park and Paola. Kansas draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at A Connecting Pointe
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

terrible buiness and company would not recommend takes 3 phone calls to get ahold of them im not a drug addict yet gets reccomended expensive classes
I’ve had nothing but a good experience from all the staff here. I met Tyson for the first time last week and he was very helpful. He walked me across the street to a buisness that helps people find jobs and other… resources. I could tell he actually wanted to help. Not sure of any bad reviews but I’m assuming it’s coming from those who refuse to take accountability for the reason they were ordered to go there in the first place 👍🏼
Hello, is there a number where I can get help in Spanish?
I have been with Delaney for about 10 months now and there is not one thing I could complain about. I live in Ohio and she has worked with me and if I ever call and can’t catch her, she always returns my calls. I do not… think their service is over priced at all. They do a ton of work, if anything, it should probably be raised a bit. I was fortunate enough to attend rehab before this and it has helped me out tremendously and so has my counselor. I am very pleased with my progress and I am very happy I’ve had Delaney as a counselor.
After turning my life around this last year, I had high hopes for getting my assessment with this company, considering my DV charges were dismissed by the state because they never happend. Now my assessor stated that I… "appear to" deny violence & blame victim. Now they got this from me saying it never happened. They never contacted the other party, that got on the stand under oath and said it never happened. To me personally theirs unethical practices going on here.
At connecting point they are very unprofessional! I was lied to and manipulated from day one not only by the social worker but the owner of the business himself. Also I paid in advance and since I kept catching them in… so many lies they would not refund my money.
Edited: I originally posted this review after my wife and I had a concern with some appointments. The owner, Tyson, responded with great concern and professionalism, and our concerns are no longer an issue. Thank you,… Tyson and staff.
Edited 12/18/2023 I cannot express how grateful and relieved I am that Tyson, the owner of A Connecting Pointe, took the time to read and investigate my review/grievance and resolved the issue. He genuinely cares for… his clients, and he and Delaney have both actively shown the utmost professionalism, integrity, and desire to help. They have helped me navigate through this very intimidating time/process, and I now truly feel like I have a full understanding and the necessary support needed to move forward successfully. I can now confidently say that A Connecting Pointe is a place where people can go to feel comfortable and confident in getting the help they need! They actually take the time to listen, discuss, and offer constructive ideas to their clients, and they treat you with fairness and respect. Thank you Tyson and Delaney, you are immensely appreciated! __________ Megan Waters is the most degrading, hostile, and immature person I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I have never experienced a more tactless, condescending, and unnecessarily overly aggressive person in my entire life. I do not expect pleasantry during these appointments, but I do expect a level of professionalism that is clearly nonexistent with her. I also do not expect to be literally screamed at while both her office doors are open and there are people in the waiting room and workers in the back of her office that can hear her shouting at me and threatening me with jail. I have never felt so dehumanized in my life. When trying to ask constructive questions I am met with sarcasm and further combative shouting. (For example- I politely asked for confirmation of a protocol she had stated earlier. Her response was to loudly reply “You don’t HAVE to do anything. I can just issue a warrant and get you arrested instead!!!”.) I have noticed that the outside of the building states that it is monitored by surveillance, and implore the supervisor/owner to watch the recording at roughly 10:50 am of 10/2/23- as her literal yelling was heard not only by the people inside the building with both doors to her waiting area (with people in it) and back office (where there were more people) wide open, but also other people outside of the building including my driver and two strangers who remarked “she really railed you in there, didn’t she?” as I was walking out the door… Again, embarrassing, dehumanizing, and unnecessary. She has also changed the stipulation of when her payment is to be received twice now, yelled at me about not having paid her, and offers no counsel whatsoever in any aspect, only further confusion in the entire process. This level of unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. I recommend that all people avoid this place if possible.
Over priced, you can get this done anywhere.
Megan Waters is an awful supervisor who continuously talked down on me while also threatening me through out the whole 12 month probation course. This is completely over looked by the city. She is visually miserable and… I don’t blame her because she is on a power trip. Before they reply to this, NO THIS IS NOT A FAULTY REVIEW I HAD TO PUT UP WITH THIS FOR 12 MONTHS.
It was affirming to see the other reviews.
A Connecting Pointe’s mission statement reads: “ to provide quality services through education and treatment programs that focus on individuals who are justice involved due to mental health and/or substance abuse… problems.” I completed a three month program without a single discussion about substance abuse or how to stay sober. Also 20% of each group is spent stalling with small talk to run clients’ credit cards. It was disappointing to say the least because I really went into this wanting help.
Debra is amazing! I learned a lot being here. Thank you guys so much.
My experience with a connecting pointe has been nothing but enjoyable, the counselor Debra has been nothing but understanding and gives the group sessions a great dynamic. I can't thing of anything but good things to… say for this company.
Very unprofessional...talked about other clients while I was in the facility (sharing personal information and their negative opinions on them). Front desk worker is very jumpy and wouldn’t sit down (she might need to… take a program lol). Overpriced for what they offer and they claim they get it done the same day but I experienced otherwise...
They are professional
