About DCCCA Inc – Wichita

DCCCA Inc operates from 8901 East Orme Street in Wichita. The site sits in Sedgwick County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Andover, Augusta and Eastborough. Kansas draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at DCCCA Inc

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Waiting times move with capacity, and what was true last month may not hold this week.

DCCCA Inc Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 8901 East Orme Street, Wichita, KS 67207, in Sedgwick County. The catchment reaches Andover, Augusta and Eastborough. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Friendly staff, with an awesome program! Went to visit family and they were real patient and helpful. Facility was clean and unbelievably quiet! Everyone spoke in passing and assured I'd been helped! Seems like a great… place, with a dearth of resources available

My husband was bullied horribly there by another peer and his counselor RP. His experience there was horrible. He reached out and no one cared. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

It was very much a tough love facility, which is the only way to get through to me. I didn't have any problems personally with the staff (other than my big personality clashing with staff's big personalities at times),… they were all very nice to me. But they don't take no shit either, so don't pick this place trying to stir up trouble. You will not get along well. The kitchen staff is SO loving, I wish I was able to eat more while I was there!! It always looked so delicious and had huge helpings. I like this facility out of all other 7 times I've been elsewhere, because it is a dual diagnosis. They really give you curriculum that helps you to understand why we think and are this way, rather than the basic curriculum. Thank you all staff for being a helpful stepping stone in my story.

I love the dccca family! From the inpatient staff, the outpatient staff, the child care people to the dccca family Preservation people they are all amazing! AND A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF! the food is to die… for! At dccca you become one big happy family I enjoyed every minute my kids and I where there I would do it ALLL OVER AGAIN! I feel so at home at dccca. I'm blessed to have had the experience! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DCCCA!!

Tried going thru them to finish kinship for DCF. The first time they came they said we needed to have these things done for foster license. Ok got most done so far. They came back out for the rest of the paperwork and… fingerprints. Told us next day they didn't like our house. No specifics and won't come back. Thanks for wasting my hours away from my job to do pointless paperwork and get our fingers covered in ink. Why not just turn around and leave before going thru all that. They won't even be submitting paperwork. They didn't even walk the house again, other than front door to kitchens table and back. Wonder if they run on attempt quotas. I think they are hoping for a Trump mansion with no pets and daily staff rather than a family home that might be slightly imperfect to them. If you want to go thru dccca, get your house approved first before hours of paperwork and possibly wasted time.

DCCCA has been incredible. They have made the fostering experience so much better because they provide you with a village of support and resources. They truly care about their foster homes.

A joke. Serious lack of communication, major inconsistency in rules and policies. Some staff are very kind and helpful, while others use threats of discharge. Would not recommend

DCCCA is an outstanding foster home licensing agency. I've been a foster parent with DCCCA for 2 years, with the same wonderful worker the whole time. Her support, responsiveness, and advice have made all the difference… for my kids and me. She even pulled some strings to get one of my kids into occupational therapy, which helped a ton. The trainer/licensure specialist was excellent also. I've had no trouble getting children in my preferred age range placed with me. The journey through the foster care system has its ups and downs, but it's all worth it for the kiddos. I'm really glad I took the plunge and got licensed with DCCCA. If you're thinking about becoming a foster parent (hooray, we need you!!), I highly recommend DCCCA. I've also heard great things about EmberHope. Call DCCCA today and enroll in the training class!

This place is not at all a place to send a person for rehab.... The staff do NOT treat the clients with respect not do they offer any help if you have any kind of handicap. They will promise you everything you ask… before you arrive, but once you are behind those closed doors forget any on those things! They are not compassionate thought they advertise that they are,. In group, the group as a whole decides if you have passed a step but the instructor will overrule your peers in the decision so it is not a peer decision at all. Do not trust this place at all !!!
